Chinese esports Team Weibo becomes the winner of the Peace Elite Asia Invitational (PEI) 2021 and took home $185,000. The invitational tournament which held between April 27 to 29, 2021 with 15 Asian teams, had an overall prize pool of $4,62,000. The teams comprised of countries including China, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, Mongolia, and South Korea. Team Weibo had an impressive show from the first game and came first place on five occasions. Team Weibo emerged victorious with 241 points followed by another Chinese team Huya FA with 180 points and Mongolian team ZEUS Esports with 164 points. The prize pool was divided among the teams after the completion of 15 matches on April 29.

PEI 2021 was played on Peacekeeper Elite, the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile and also known as Game for Peace in China with 12 international invites. The results were decided after the tournament concluded in three days with five matches played on each day. It was played from a first-person perspective (FPP), which’s very different from the global PUBG Mobile esports competitions.
