QLASH Esports has entered into a partnership with Brazilian Esports organization, Flamengo for Brawl Stars Master League. The collaboration means that players from the LATAM Brawl Stars roster of QLASH will now play under Flamengo, managed by US-based Simplicity Esports. Simplicity Esports holds the license for Brazilian football club Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
What is Brawl Stars Master League
Announced earlier this year, Brawl Stars Master League is a $100,000 (£71,014) prize pool tournament played between 13 Latin American football clubs aimed at tapping the growing mobile Esports market in Latin America. The event follows a group stage, playoff, and finale format.
The participating teams are Atlético Nacional, América de Cali, Boca Juniors,Club América, Corinthians, Chivas, Cerro Porteño, Flamengo, Liga de Quito, Nacional, River Plate, Universidad de Chile, and Universitario. Each team has an exclusive in-game skin as announced during the June 2021 Brawl Talk.
Why QLASH is entering the Latin American mobile esports market
The all Brazilian roster consists of Sinval, Lele, and Guidu and is coached by Raul of Chilean descent. Despite competing in the Brawl Stars Master League, the players and coach will continue to represent QLASH in the title’s other competitions, such as the Brawl Stars Championship and Queso Cup.
The collaboration is part of an expansion strategy with an aim to grow the brand in LATAM. QLASH has also collaborated with other football clubs like AC Milan from Italy and Villareal CF from Spain. AC Milan holds the naming rights with the organization for its FIFA and European Brawl Stars team. For Flamengo Esports, it is an opportunity to work with an international organization and gain experience.
