BILIBILI has announced the shut down of its Anime RPG Eternal Tree, which will end services on June 29, 2023. This comes as a surprise to fans of the game, given the game has yet to celebrate its first anniversary. The reason behind the shut down is not revealed.
Players can claim refunds for purchases starting June 30
Eternal Tree was first announced in 2021, before getting a worldwide launch on June 2022. The game initially got favorable reviews thanks to an original story about a new civilization that cultivates in a land abandoned by gods and made up of over a million letters with plenty of exploration on offer.
The game gave an experience of thrill and excitement, with over 100+ unique characters who have gorgeous appearances and several sets of skills. As players progressed, the friendship with each character will get stronger, and hence they will go on to discover additional episodes. Sadly, players won’t be able to play after a couple of months.
The sale of all premium currency has ended. Also, the makers have announced that it would accept refund claims from June 30, 2023, to July 30, 2023, 23:59 JST. Players are recommended to keep track of their player data in order to facilitate the refund procedure.
The makers apologized for closing down the game and hoped that users might enjoy what was left of it before it was shut down. It is sad to see games closing down but we feel it is best for the developers to stop the game before running themselves to the ground.
