The road to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports’ most prestigious event is laying its carpet for the participant teams to welcome them. Ahead of the M5 World Championship, all regional esports events and pro leagues that have a seed to the year finale tournament are on the run. Mobile Legends Continental Championships (MCC) Season 2 is not different from them and is going to be staged from the 12th of August to the 8th of October.
The champion team of the Mobile Legends Continental Championships (MCC) Season 2 will get a direct slot in the upcoming world championship of MLBB esports, the M5 World Championship. On the other hand, the runner-up will qualify for the Wildcard event of M5. Organized by Moonton Games and FISSURE, the event will have both online and offline plays.
Mobile Legends Continental Championships (MCC) Season 2: Schedule and Format
The event is going to kick off on the 12th of August 2023 and will continue running till the 8th of October. It has two stages namely the regular season and the playoffs. From the opening day of the event, the regular season will start. Later, the playoffs will be held on the 7th and 8th of October.
The regular season will be held in a double round-robin format, followed by BO2 matches. After this stage, the top six teams will move to the playoffs. And, the top 2 teams will get a one-match bye while the rest four will compete in round two. Losers will be out of the event and winners will meet the top two. Later, upper and lower bracket semifinals will take place and winners will meet one another in the upper and lower bracket finals. Then, both the winners will meet in the Grand Final.
Participating Teams
The event is going to feature a total of 8 teams. Half of the teams are from its previous installment while the other half are from the closed qualifier. Teams from the closed qualifiers had to play three open qualified events and then the closed qualifiers. They have come a long way to entertain the fans and it proves the capacity these teams have. Prize Pool
Mobile Legends (MCC) Season 2 has allocated $30,000 for the teams. Based on the ranking each team gets after the finale, they’ll be able to pick up their share.
