Honor of Kings: World is also making a move like the original title Honor of Kings. While the global release details of the awaited 5v5 MOBA are out, the open-world RPG spin-off of the same Honor of Kings: World has reportedly got its trademark approved in India and is ready for further release process.
Tencent had filed a trademark for Honor of Kings: World in India back in November 2023
In November 2023, Tencent Games, the publisher filed a trademark for Honor of Kings: World in India with the Trade Marks Registry, signaling the company’s plans for a release in the country. The trademark application, submitted on the 9th of November 2023, was marked for examination, with Tencent eagerly awaiting the status to proceed with its plans for introducing Honor of Kings: World to the Indian audience.
According to the information revealed in the application, it is evident that the filing made in November underwent verification two months later. As of January 1, 2024, the status of the application has advanced to Accepted and Advertised from Marked for Exam. Thus, from now on, we can confirm that HoK World is ready to continue other processes, and Tencent can begin with tests and necessary release timelines.
As mentioned earlier, Honor of Kings World will be a spin-off of the popular Honor of Kings IP. The game will be developed by TiMi Studio Group with Tencent Games taking the helm of the publisher. It was announced in November 2021 first, and a gameplay trailer released the following year revealed details regarding the game mechanisms, combat style, and more, with more with another gameplay trailer released in October 2023.
This upcoming open-world RPG offers players the freedom to explore a visually stunning game world, face formidable world bosses, and embark on diverse adventures. While the process has begun, we might need to wait before we get a full-fledged release of Honor of Kings: World, be it India or across the globe.
