Age of Empires: Mobile started early access testing on Android in the Philippines. According to the roadmap shared earlier by the officials, the beta is scheduled to start in April but it looks like the party has arrived early for the fans.
UPDATE as of April 1st, 2024
Age of Empires: Mobile beta is now officially available in France, the Philippines, and Indonesia. And the progress will be carried over to the global launch. The original article continues below.
If you do not know already, Age of Empires: Mobile has undergone multiple rounds of testing under different names such as Dawn of Kingdoms, and Kingdoms Arise before the gameplay is officially revealed in February. GamingonPhone has been exclusively breaking news about Age of Empires: Mobile since its first announcement back in October 2022.
Wait is almost over, Age of Empires: Mobile fans
With this early access testing, the wait is over for the Age of Empires: Mobile fans who have been eagerly waiting to try it out, to live the childhood game once again, on a different platform, with a different style. How the game would play out, is a different story, but all the fans (including me!) have been eagerly anticipating the release of AOE Mobile for a long time now.
Since the official announcement previously said that the first round of beta will start in April, so I think there will be an official statement about the beta in early April.
How to play Age of Empires: Mobile early access test
At the time of writing this, the official early access or beta testing announcement is yet to arrive. But it looks like the server capacity is very limited as of now. Even if you are living in the Philippines, you may not be able to test the game because of the high influx of players joining already.
However it is expected that the server capacity will be increased. if not in this test, then in the future ones before AOE Mobile goes for a global launch. But you can still try your luck and download the game from Google Play. Otherwise, you can pre-register and wait for the global release in Q4, 2024.
