Angry Birds for Cars will be cloud-synched allowing you to continue your progress and will inter-sync the game to make sure you do not lose the progress while changing platforms. The game needs no introduction, the title is as classic as one can get in the industry, however now it is being released to an even new platform, ie inside your Cars with Google built-in!

As stated before the game will come with a cloud-saving feature, however, you still need to have a Red’s Club account to make sure that you sync your progress with Mobile devices. The thrill and fun of the classic slingshot title can now be enjoyed by fans even while stuck in traffic or while parked. The app was earlier launched just for Mercedes Benz vehicles, however now, it has been included in plans for other Cars with Google built-in feature as well.

Moomin: Puzzle & Design didn’t quite reach the standard the developers set for themselves

Rovio capitalized on the popularity of Moomin, which features white characters resembling hippos, to create a title based on the beloved figure. In the games, players awaken Moomin valley from its winter slumber by solving puzzles and decorating with blooming flowers and bushes. Players encounter classic Moomin characters in a unique storyline.

They solve tap-to-match puzzles of varying difficulty levels, earning power boosters for clearing matches. Updates introduced day-night scenes, 6 story chapters, 180 levels, a Task journal, and a Seashell hunt mode. With each level cleared, they could unlock new features and progress through the enchanting world of Moomin Valley.

However, as much as the game sounds interesting, the makers announced the end of development. The developers confirmed the discontinuation of Moomin: Puzzle & Design due to falling short of their quality standards, also citing that the game “isn’t where they want it to be”. No news since the soft launch was also an indication of the game’s development not going anywhere.

With the Moomin: Puzzle & Design shut down announcement, the app has disabled all in-app purchases, and this will make Update 3.1.2 the final update to the game. They’ll have servers running until July 8th, 2024, so you can utilize this chance to play the game.

Rovio had previously rejected Playtika’s $738 million offer before agreeing to SEGA’s

In April, there were reports that SEGA was set to acquire Rovio for an estimated deal of €706 million ($775 million), which came true when SEGA officially confirmed the deal later in the same month. This was after Israel-based Playtika Ltd, known for its Slot machines and Card games offered a $738 million acquisition deal in January, which was a mere $37 million less compared to the offer Rovio accepted later on.

However, even though the deal was finalized in April, the successful completion of this offer hinged on several conditions set by Sega Europe. This was about obtaining regulatory approvals and securing a minimum of 90% of Rovio’s shares. In April, It was revealed that shareholders holding around 49.1 percent of Rovio’s outstanding shares and votes had expressed their agreement to the offer. 

However, on August 8th, the final results of the deal revealed that a total of 73,397,174 shares from Rovio shareholders have been tendered, accounting for 96.3% of all issued and outstanding shares and votes in Rovio. In addition, 100 percent of the options have been tendered in the offer.

Rovio joining the SEGA family will look to unlock new possibilities

In conclusion, Rovio has met the 90% threshold and has received the necessary regulatory clearances to become a part of the Sega Family as soon as the offer is completed. To further accommodate shareholders who have yet to accept the offer, SEGA Europe is initiating a “Subsequent Offer Period” scheduled from August 11th to August 25th.

With the deal all but done, this is good news for us fans. Given SEGA’s legacy of creating excellent and memorable titles and Rovio’s products being fun to play, the inclusion of Rovio into the SEGA family will unlock a realm of fresh gaming possibilities. Hopefully, we get a mix of both the creative sides soon, and mostly an experience to remember.

Then the third is an effect that is given to only 1 bird and that effect will reveal which birds can be given an effect, this applies until you finish the stage.

Birds

In this game, you need to collect various birds in the form of cards to be able to unlock them. There are lots of birds in this game, but most of them are still locked or not found, even so, you can use the birds that are given for free, namely Bomb, Chuck, and Red.

Other Angry Birds games will continue to exist in the App Store as per the statement from Rovio’s end. Additionally, iOS users will still be able to download Angry Birds from the App Store under its new name, Red’s First Flight. The reasoning for the delisting process has purely been credited to the development of other games, however, some fans have made their own theories.

Playtika eager for Rovio acquisition

As per reports from Reuters, on Thursday, January 19th 2023, Playtika offered Rovio what seems to be a huge amount and an improvement from its previous offers. This offer values Rovio at €‎9.05 per share, which is about 60% higher than the company’s closing price on the last offer date. This is a significant increase from the original offer which was valued at €‎8.50 per share.

Playtika CEO, Robert Antokol added: “We firmly believe the combination of Rovio’s renowned IP and scale of its user base, together with our best-in-class monetization and game operations capabilities, will create tremendous value for our shareholders.”

The current offer is a €‎40 million increase above a previously undisclosed amount that Playtika made in November 2022. The increase in offer shows the intent and interest Playtika is having in the acquisition. However, the Finnish developer declined to comment further on the topic. Rovio is still reliant on its popular franchise Angry Birds for its growth.

The gaming industry is currently seeing a number of acquisitions from the larger sharks in the business. NetEase has two recent acquisitions in Quantic Dream and Skybox Labs. Tencent also acquired a major stake in Shift Up in December last year. It won’t be surprising to see more mergers or acquisitions in the coming months as the developments continue.
