Rovio’s Angry Birds have landed their first In-Car Collaboration with German automotive company Mercedes and will feature on the entertainment systems of the latest E-Class variant of the Benz. This collab will allow passengers to play the iconic Angry Birds slingshot game on the brand-new luxury sedan.
The Angry Birds experience will be powered by the automotive app store Faurecia Aptoide
Playing the slingshot game on the dashboard touchscreen of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be made available by Faurecia Aptoide, the leading automotive App Store. The game’s goal is to encourage users to create new and more dynamic automobiles and enjoyable journey experiences while providing entertainment alternatives for people of all ages.
The collab was facilitated by the worldwide licensing agency of Angry Birds, IMG. This, however, is the brand’s first cooperation with a premium vehicle company, adding to the brand’s growing international array of consumer products and experiences.
Speaking of the collaboration, Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala, Head of Brand Licensing at Rovio, said, “Mercedes-Benz and Angry Birds are both known for driving innovation, shaping trends, and creating incredible experiences in our respective fields. We can’t think of a more fitting partner for our first in-car entertainment offering. We have no doubt Angry Birds will prove to be the perfect travel companion.”
It’s fantastic to see Angry Birds team up and collaborate with more well-known brands. Their recent acquisition by SEGA might open new opportunities in the future, which look bright for them.
