The highly awaited monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell mo.co has yet another announcement regarding the features hitting the game. In their 3rd mo.co KPI (Key Portal Insights) update, the team introduced a few improvements, skins, upcoming features, and more.

The title has already introduced two KPIs, bringing a lot into the game. However, the third one also brings many exciting news and changes. The game has talked about a new merch system, outfits, map, and more in this KPI. Let me give you an overview of everything you need to know.

mo.co to bring a plethora of new features, 3rd KPI reveals

Skin System

Skins are the heart of player entertainment as they feature exquisite colors and styles, enough to add extra joy while playing. However, a need for an organized skin system was much needed in the game. The title brings a Merch Machine, Merch Token, and more things to heat the player experience.

Merch Machine

mo.co will introduce Merch Machine, a brand new way to unlock outfits, mount skins, and emotes. It is a complete makeover of the whole process of unlocking and collecting outfits, mount skins, and emotes.

Merch Machine in mo.co

In this machine, merch will be sorted by ‘collection style’, making it easier to find the outfits a player is interested in. It will show a preview of different outfits and also the number of acquired ones.

Merch Token

As the new merch machine is coming up, the game will bring a token named Merch Token that can be used to take a spin to unlock some sweet merch. Players can also collect merch tokens from Job Chests, or buy them straight from the shop.

New Emotes

There will be a few newly introduced emotes. Besides, the mounts will now be featured directly in the wardrobe. Here’s the list of new emotes:

  • Bright Fireworks
  • Red Hearts
  • Colorful Rainbow
  • Party Popper
  • Sad
  • Thumb
  • Hei Hei
  • Yoga TP
  • Break It Down
  • Knees-up

New Outfits

mo.co KPI without any new outfits is not possible at all. The game, this time, is bringing a whole lot of outfits and cool wearables to make the characters look more cool and shiny. Here’s a glimpse of the upcoming outfits. But do remember that these outfits, as shared by the game, are still under development.

mo.co 3rd KPI outfits image

If not satisfied yet, I have some more to reveal. The game is developing gears to feature in the game as well. Just take a look at them!

New Map: Garden City

Garden City Map in mo.co

The latest map in mo.co, as announced in the 3rd KPI, is called Garden City. Filled with verdant vegetation and waterfalls, it’s the ideal vacation destination but comes with monsters crawling all over it.

mo.co tweaking the Targeting System, changed Game Economy, and more in the 3rd KPI

As the game shared more insights into the upcoming features, I want to mention a few here. There will be a Targeting System, a Game Economy Feature, and more options to be added.

Targeting System

This will allow hunters to target a specific monster. The process is simple: hold down the attack button, and you’ll consistently target the same monster, even if other monsters get closer to you. But the system has a few setbacks as well. However, the sad news is that it is not coming into the game but the game promises to bring something more exciting.

  • Once players let go of the attack button to use a gadget or something, they lose focus and start targeting whichever monster is closest.
  • Hunting down the same monster can be a real pain.
  • For players who want to attack just by pressing a single button, this feature will not be a handy tool.
  • The feature is not much fun and dynamic. Also, the design and balance would need to adjust for multiple control schemes.

Game Economy

mo.co’s team always thought about how to fine-tune the game’s economy, particularly unlocking cosmetics and the overall monetization strategy. The game decided to remove the ‘premium merch token’. Now,  all collections/outfits will be unlocked with a regular merch token. Several latest changes has been made to the game economy.

  • Removed mo.coins
  • Merch Token is only found in Job Chests and the shop
  • Chaos Cubes will only be available in mo.co crates which only gave mo.coins previously
  • mo.co events and easter eggs will now give XP (previously gave Chaos Cubes)

mo.co talks about the changes made so far, simplifying the game is the primary motivation

The game said that it is better to have a simplified version of the game. All the players should be eligible to earn a steady amount no matter when they start playing. Thus the game removed the premium outfit tokens and mo.coins to streamline.

But the game did think about earning a few bucks and that is important for every title. And, outfits are the best way to make players spend their money. While most of the regular outfits are free, the flashiest ones will only be available via the shop. Besides, the changes with currencies in-game,  Chaos Cubes become the absolute premium currency for Gears and “something to spend very wisely“.

More Changes

There are a few more changes. This doesn’t stop, I’m tired of writing all the changes! However, here are more of the changes that the game made. I’m putting them down here as well.

Bean in mo.co
Image via Supercell

Passive Gadgets will now be accessible right from the start. It will give a boost in the early game. This will make things simpler and smoother, while also speeding up Project completion. Besides, monsters will now come with more intelligence. They’ll exhibit more evolved behaviors, like tactically retreating to heal or teaming up for a double attack. As Bean is removed from the game, mo.co tries to compensate the players with a few items.

The next stop for mo.co will be introducing ‘End Game’. However, this will be featured on the next KPI. So far, keep enjoying the game.

The highly awaited monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell mo.co has yet another announcement regarding the features hitting the game. In their 2nd mo.co KPI (Key Portal Insights) update and Q&A session, the team acknowledges that this month’s mo.co KPI doesn’t carry the same weight as the initial one, but we have some interesting features to come such as a skin system, new bosses, mount system and more, so let me give you an overview of everything you need to know.

mo.co to bring a plethora of new features, 2nd KPI reveals

Skin System

The skin system to come is justly rich and adds exciting features for players to begin exploring. All these fall under many collections in tiers ranging from basic to premiums, created with special events in mind. It consists of various themes, ranging from dragons to streetwear, cyberpunk, mecha, and beyond, meaning the players will feel the desired number of images the game promises them.

Completing a full collection unlocks collector bonuses, adding another layer of motivation and reward to the customization process. And with so many opportunities for acquiring these skins, grinding, PvP battles, playing game modes, conquering dungeons, or opting for paid cosmetics, I see that the skin system promises to work even more into the enjoyment as players get tons of personalization options to mold their characters and get really into the game world.

Bosses, Monsters, and Mounts

The team has been sharing sneak peeks of upcoming content on their social media platforms. They’ve unveiled glimpses of new Bosses, Monsters, and NPCs (Noble Portal Companions), giving players a taste of what’s to come. Some of the monsters resemble Pokemon for me, while some look hideous to tackle.

The same goes for the Bosses, the character designs are pretty fun to look at, and from what I have seen, there is plenty of game content we can enjoy.

If you are a fan of companions for your rides, I have some good news to share. They have also unveiled a sneak peek of the new mounts that players will soon be able to ride in the Parallel Worlds.

Modules

The team wants to announce a minor tweak: Passive Gadgets have been renamed Modules, on a unified design with a sleek new look. This update seeks to smooth the terminology and better the aesthetic unity of these in-game features.

mo.co Q&A delves into the game’s beta, development process, and features

Concluding their 2nd KPI was answering some queries the mo.co fans had posted. The mo.co team received many questions, talking about a range of topics from their production process to the game’s features, revenues, and social elements.

About releasing the game, the team stated its commitment to improving the game before launching a beta or the worldwide version to feel confident to give players a good first impression and achieve sustained player engagement. The team noted that development should not be burdened with running a live environment, especially since their focus is on development.

Supercell mo.co

They promise regular content updates to keep the players engaged, for the sale of the game and players in the upper levels, with the inclusion of both new content and updates. New weapons, mounts, customization options, along with the chance of obtaining a battle pass for monetization, are some of the things players can expect. They also consider social features, like groups, as well as user-generated content, for potential inclusion in future updates.

The team is developing lore elements for the enhancement of the game’s narrative without a full-fledged story mode, though there’s no exact plan. They also share the possibility of a PC version and the availability of controller support, though these may come much later.

mo.co, the monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell, is yet to get an official launch, but what we have seen looks very promising. With strong development plans for 2024, the team looks to bring some new features to the title. Among the specifics that impressed me much, the soundtrack was also one among them. Whenever I went for some monster hunting, the sound effects made sure that I was in the hunt. I did get hold of the Original mo.co game Soundtracks, and would to share the details with you.

mo.co Original Game Soundtracks list

mo.co is a Supercell game that diverts from its popular games in the strategy genre and goes rogue with the role-playing theme where you will be hunting monsters across beautiful parallel worlds. Here, you assume the role of a character who joins the mo.co startup, known for its monster-hunting endeavors. The game is divided into chapters, and your primary task is to complete missions assigned by the founders.

I had a very strong first impression of this title during its closed beta in the US. While I lauded the enjoyable gameplay, I was equally impressed by the quality of the sound design. Thankfully, mo.co has dropped the entire album for us to enjoy, and you can see the details of each track below.

If you want to blast these tracks on your speakers, head over to Spotify mo.co playlist and enjoy them all. All of them are part of the “Gear Up” album. I’m hopeful that the team will release more tracks soon once we have the full-fledged release. Until then, let’s eagerly anticipate more from mo.co!

The monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell titled mo.co shared its first KPI (Key Portal Insights) where it revealed several latest changes in the game. After receiving player feedback from the beta test, has made a lot of changes including a new quest system, maps, revamped gears, and more. We will take a look inside of what’s new for the game in the recently shared details.

mo.co players to witness some significant changes after the game shares its latest KPI

So, the game went through a beta test and we know what it is going to deliver. From our first impression, we are sure that this is going to carry Supercell afar. After the last major success which was Brawl Stars in 2018, we haven’t seen Supercell-level games lately. As mo.co is a promising title, the changes are needed to move forward.

New Quest System

New Quest System in mo.co

The New Quest System includes new jobs/quests. As the game said, “Players will be able to experience mo.co’s story through tailored jobs on top of various side jobs that will progress your character.” Jobs will be now from the founders and you can access them from your mo.co Phone. As the story unveils itself slowly, jobs will have a direct relation to unveiling the story.

Map Design

The first question that the game answered was explaining the need for a revamped tutorial. At first glance, the game seems pretty fun. But there was no point in playing it like there wasn’t a compelling story that could attach a player. You’d ask even why are you playing the game. To answer that, mo.co introduced the revamped tutorial. The City map is now featured at the start of the game. The new tutorial will now kick off the game.

The map is redesigned and you can now find the job locations. You do not have to roam around to find the job, instead, a marker will tell you where to go. The same has been applied to the mini-map, in the upper right corner of the screen.

New Gears

Gears such as Smart Fireworks, Boombox, and Turbo Pills are now redesigned and appealing. Animations and color correction made them special.

mo.co developers share ideas and motivation behind bringing the changes

After the close beta test in the US, the developers took time to correct the game as per FTUE (first-time user experience). They took some time and made the changes accordingly. Though a lot will come and the game has a lot ahead to think about, it implemented some good features. As per the development plans, the title was to bring some changes to the Early Game and Quest System, Skin System, Social Features, PvP, and more. Yet it brought a few after announcing the latest KPI.

However, the quest system underwent several changes before introducing the current one. “We had multiple full team playtests of the new quest system and gathered lots of feedback from this that we wanted to implement,” said the developers. The same was done for the story. Though it wasn’t clear how many times they rethought it, surely the developers have worked a lot to make the players build a connection to the game via its story.

The changes do not stop here. As the developers have said, there are a lot of changes coming ahead. There will be improved worlds, characters, and the overall experience of the first maps. Besides, the artists have also been working on improving maps, monsters, and skins. More details will be out soon. The next KPI will unveil the changes made to the Skins.

So, as we wait to see more features hitting the game, the developers are determined to provide top-notch fun and entertainment as well. As Supercell CEO spoke, mo.co is expected to have a blast in 2024. We as mobile gaming enthusiasts can only hope for the best now.

It was nearly three months since I heard anything from Supercell’s monster-hunting action RPG mo.co, but the developers now have come searching for the monsters of ‘silence’ to hunt them down. In their latest announcement, the development team has outlined their plans for what mo.co is going to be this 2024, and in this space, I aim to discuss and elaborate on the same.

Speaking about the game, you join mo.co, a startup known for hunting monsters. Here you get to complete missions given by the founders across various chapters. Explore the map, battle other hunters, and rescue NPCs to earn rewards. Choose from different game modes for varied experiences. I’ve played the closed beta myself and returned with more excitement than I expected. I felt compelled to write a first impression article to share my enthusiasm and encourage others to join in the fun.

mo.co Development Plans for 2024

The team has outlined a clear plan for the game’s development, addressing player feedback while improving key areas such as content, technology, and features. This is very important in my opinion, since the game is already great in the majority of the areas, and if the player feedback helps in pushing the game to the next level, it would be amazing.

mo.co home
Image via Supercell

A significant focus will be placed on enhancing features that players enjoy the most. This includes improving the early game experience, introducing a skin system for better character customization, and implementing live operations to deliver fresh content regularly.

Key Features in Development

Several key features are currently in development, including:

  • Early Game & Quest System: Improving the tutorial and early game experiences, implementing a linear quest system, and adding narrative elements to the storyline.
  • Skin System: Introducing more skins and customization options for players.
  • Live Operations: Injecting more gameplay events keeps the experience fresh between updates.
  • Social Features: Improving existing social features and providing additional ways for players to interact and express themselves.
  • PvP: Adding PvPvMvE (Player vs. Player vs. Monster vs. Environment) gameplay for exciting multiplayer battles. This according to me is something we should be excited about since this gives a lot of open opportunities for co-op fun.
  • Progression: Exploring additional ways for players to progress and unlock new items.
  • End-Game Content: Creating engaging end-game content with epic rewards to keep players invested.

Overall, these are the features that are in sight currently. It won’t be surprising if there are plenty more to come, given the potential of the game.

What next for mo.co: Tests, Release Date, and more

Players are invited to join the Discord server to take part in testing upcoming features, especially PvP. Details and invites will be shared there. This gives us a detail that we will be seeing a couple of tests at least before getting a full-fledged launch.

Since the developers have focused on wording tests, I don’t believe we can expect a release anytime soon. 2024 might be a possibility surely, but it won’t be shocking if the game doesn’t globally launch this year as well. Whenever it does, I hope the monsters are ferocious since we will all be ready to hunt them down!

The monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell titled mo.co has now entered into mobile thanks to closed beta in the US. The game has garnered positive feedback, and those who haven’t given it a try yet are eager to hear about the player experiences. That’s exactly why I’m excited to offer my insights by sharing my initial impressions of mo.co during the beta phase.

mo.co succeeds in giving an engaging gameplay, distinguishes itself from the Clash Universe

When they initially introduced the game, the description itself was nothing short of fantastic. It was delivered like an invitation for players to join a monster-hunting startup as if they were recruiting hunters. The way they presented it, complete with some clever memes even featuring Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen, got me genuinely excited, and I couldn’t help but think, “They’re going to absolutely rock this, aren’t they?

the moco handshake deal
The mo.co handshake deal featuring Ilkka and Luna (Image via Supercell)(

Guess what, they did manage to deliver a great game. The gameplay is really fun, you roam around as a hunter, smashing those ugly-looking yet nice-to-the-eye monsters (cut them some slack, please?), and their bosses and helping out Luna and co with her startup, and all this with other players around the world. The graphics are amazing too, and the idea of multiple modes is well-accepted.

I like how missions or chapters aren’t there just for the sake of completion. Suppose you manage to finish all three missions assigned to you, you might still miss out on crucial items like Blueprints, necessary for acquiring new weapons or gadgets. This adds depth and meaning to the grind in battles, making it all the more worthwhile.

The attention to detail is impressive, from the map greying out as you explore, to the effects when using an active gadget, the diversity among different weapons, and the overall user interface. You get to interact with the mo. co-founders (in-game) in the room, where they will give some sort of hint to you regarding a chapter or raids. Lobby with friends in beta is certainly a surprise, and it makes connecting a lot easier.

mo.co gameplay
Image via Supercell

As for improvements, there’s certainly room for growth, considering it’s still in beta. One thing that comes to mind is slightly faster movement; I’m not sure if this feature already exists since I’ve only played a few levels, but a touch more speed could add some exciting, fast-paced action. Apart from that, I don’t have any other suggestions. It’s pretty good as it is!

Supercell needed a strong project for long, and mo.co beta could be the answer

Although the Finnish developer has received considerable acclaim for crafting some of the most thrilling and top mobile games in history, like Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, there have also been moments of letdown over the years. Their last major success was Brawl Stars, dating back to 2018. Clash Mini is performing reasonably well, but it doesn’t quite capture the same level of enthusiasm as the previous three titles.

Floodrush cover, Floodrush open beta
Image via Supercell

Regrettably, Rush Wars, Clash Quest, Boom Beach: Frontlines, and Flood Rush to name a few failed to make a significant impact and were eventually discontinued. Supercell had to come up with a project strong enough to eclipse these failures, and I genuinely believe mo.co beta could be the answer they were looking for. And surprisingly, I still do not know what’s going on with Clash Heroes. It is just vanished from the scene for a long time now.

Final Thoughts on mo.co beta

If you were to ask about my opinion, I’d be absolutely thrilled to see this game skyrocket in the charts. It’s quite different from what I initially anticipated, and I’m loving the game’s implementation. It’s a fun and innovative addition to Supercell’s lineup, bringing a fresh flavor to their portfolio. Do I believe this would be their ticket to success finally after too many shutdowns? Absolutely.

Despite being a devoted Supercell fan for a long time, I can’t recall the last time I was genuinely thrilled and deeply engaged when they made an announcement. mo.co managed to do both for me, and I truly believe that if they’ve ignited that same level of excitement and first impression in other players as well with this mo.co beta, this game is bound to be a smash hit once it gets a full-fledged launch.

If you were among the lucky ones who tried their hands on the mo.co beta, what are your first impressions about the game? Do let us know in the comments!

The monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell titled mo.co has now entered into mobile thanks to closed beta in the US. Initial reactions to the game have been overwhelmingly positive, and the enthusiasm for monster hunting shows no signs of waning. As players from all corners of the globe eagerly seek to obtain the game, we’ve had the opportunity to experience it ourselves, and our first encounter left us thoroughly impressed. As you are looking forward to trying the game, having a headstart is always a great chance to get going. So we have come up with this mo.co Beginners Guide and Tips to help you with the same.

mo.co Gameplay Overview

In the game, you assume the role of a character who joins the mo.co startup, known for its monster-hunting endeavors. The game is divided into chapters, and your primary task is to complete missions assigned by the founders. The gameplay revolves around your character, which you control as you navigate the game map to fulfill objectives.

You’ll explore the map, battling other hunters or rescuing non-player characters (NPCs). The rewards you receive depend on the specific game mode you’re playing. mo.co offers a variety of game modes. In addition to missions, you can engage in raids, which become available at level 5. Raids are time-based challenges with varying difficulty levels that you need to complete.

Challenges are also present, providing additional competitive opportunities. You can invite friends to join your team, creating a lobby for co-op battles as well. Furthermore, there are solo battles in Solo Trial mode, although this might not be a major concern for beginners.

Understanding the Menus and in-game basics

In-game Menu

As a beginner, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the menu in Mo.Co. It has a unique setup where you use your character to navigate and select options. Let me explain the essential menu components you should understand.

  • Portal: This is your gateway to monster hunting. Here, you’ll find all the missions, chapters, and raids. These will unlock as you level up and progress through the game. You’ll also receive details about the rewards and mission objectives before starting each raid or chapter.
  • Gear: This is a crucial aspect of your character. Upgrades in gear play a significant role in battles. In this section of the menu, you can not only upgrade your character’s gear but also change their outfit. You’ll find active and passive gadgets here, as well as the main weapon, which we’ll explain in more detail later.
  • Printer: The printer is another essential component of your character/gamer progress. It’s where you’ll unlock and upgrade various items. You’ll discover blueprints for weapons and gadgets here and then use the printer to create or unlock them, allowing you to wield new equipment.
  • Projects: Complete the listed projects to get the rewards.
  • Shop: In the shop, you can make purchases using the resources available to you. Here, you can see what’s in store and decide what items or upgrades to acquire.
  • Storage: This section allows you to view the list of resources you’ve collected throughout your missions and raids. It’s where you can see the resources you have on hand.

Resources

Currently, we only have two major in-game resources that you can take advantage of.

  • mo.coin: Primary currency, helpful for purchasing items in the shop. You can earn mo.coins from mo.co crates. It will be indicated in green as you venture out on open-world adventures.
  • chaos cubes: A cube resource that acts like a material for any element while upgrading/printing as a replacement. Similar to the mo.coin, you can find them in open-world adventures as well.

Character Progression

Achieving consistent results in the game hinges on the progression of your character or hunter. To accomplish this, it’s crucial to explore the available in-game options and then concentrate on upgrading based on your understanding and strategy. It’s essential to familiarize yourself with three critical components of your hunter’s gear: the weapon, active gadgets, and passive gadgets.

The weapon serves as your primary means of attack. It can be either a casual or professional type, much like the other two gear components. Weapons come in both ranged and short-range varieties, depending on your preference. Some may have healing abilities, or some with an extra companion. They don’t have time intervals, allowing you to repeatedly use your weapon for assaults.

Active gadgets, on the other hand, require your attention regarding when and where to trigger them. They are manual in nature and will activate only when you press the necessary button. You have the flexibility to equip up to three active gadgets from the gear menu, so choose wisely based on the strategy you plan before battles.

Passive gadgets, in contrast, are simpler to manage. You can obtain them and rest assured, as they automatically function without the need for manual activation. All three components are crucial for your progression in the game. It’s important to keep them upgraded to ensure you don’t fail in battle and continue your advancement in your monster-hunting journey.
