Moonlight Sculptor developed and published by Kakao Games is aiming for a shut down of its services scheduled to take place on May 4, 2023. The developers shared the news with the fans of the game in the community through an official statement and a post on their official social media handles.
The in-app purchases have been terminated and no refunds will be provided for previous ones
The developers were quick on their lines to pass on an official statement regarding the purchases made in the game. They have disabled the option of making further in-app purchases in the new game update which was held on March 9. The developers have also made it clear regarding the purchases already done in the past.
The Moonlight team issued a statement from their end which stated, “Done the best to bring exciting events and meaningful content to the game throughout your journey through The Royal Road, but unfortunately has to come to this decision.”
The developers shared a message on their official website as well regarding the termination of the game’s services. Any Gold and Butterflies left in the player’s account can be used at the in-game Shop until the end of service as well. Developers concluded by stating to not make any new purchases even if they find any products in the shop that are still available.
First released as an MMORPG game on mobile and PC the game offered players to experience the rich experience of Royal Road on their mobile. The game amassed a healthy community of fans who liked the idea and the gameplay offered by the developers. With the news of its shutdown, it is sure to make some rounds within the community.
