With a release of a new Dev Update video in the official League of Legends: Wild Rift YouTube channel, it unfolded a lot more new information for the long awaiting players. In the latest video, the League of Legends: Wild Rift regional open beta has been announced as well as future plans for the expansion of the game. Recently, Wild Rift extended their closed beta to Japan and South Korea. Finally, they are set to enter Open Beta for selected countries in late October. We also got to know about seven new champions in the next update of the game.
Where will the regional open beta be available?
Riot Games will be releasing the first open Beta on the 27th of October in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. The game will be available on both Android and iOS platforms. So, the selection will be entirely random and players who want to be a part of the beta test must pre-register themselves.
In addition to that, the above regions will have full access to the game and can enjoy all the premium features, including the regional contents. Apart from the regions mentioned above, Riot Games has planned to release the game in a few more regions with exclusive regional content.
Players from Europe, Taiwan, Oceania, Vietnam can get their hands on the game by the first week of December. But for North and South America, the release will be around the spring of 2021.
New champions in the next League of Legends: Wild Rift patch update
Also, the next patch update will have new heroes, bug fixes and enhancements. Seven new heroes will be coming with the update:
- Evelynn
- Akali
- Kai’Sai
- Seraphine
- Darius
- Draven
- Lee Sin
