Hollywood Music in Media is one of the award organizations that recognizes and honors original music in all forms of media including but not limited to Films, TV, Video games, and more. These premier awards are given to specifically recognize and celebrate the music of all visual media, across different categories in gaming itself, which includes Mobile Video Game as a separate category. This year COD Mobile wins the Hollywood Music in Media award 2021 in the Mobile video game category for its theme music in Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 which was named “Wild West“.
Video Game music is one of the most underrated but much needed elements in the Video Game Industry, awards like these from HMM gives recognition to these amazing music creators, they not only motivate others but make these categories popular and show everyone how important music is in a game.
The nominees were:
1. Call of Duty: Mobile
The theme music of COD Mobile Season 6 went for the nominations. This theme music has been composed by Wilbert Roget, II; Guillaume Roussel, Matthew Carl Earl, Steven Grove, Obadiah Brown-Beach, Robert Wolf.
2. Garena Free Fire
Up next in the nominations was one of the popular battle royale games, Free Fire. The nominated theme song was composed by Nobuko Toda, Ludwig Forssell.
3. Kingdom Craft
The Kingdom Craft is a strategy MMO for iOS and Android came third in the nominations for this award. Their nominated theme song was composed by Lei Huang, Matthew Carl Earl.
4. Game for Peace
PUBG Mobile Chinese version or the Game for Peace (GFP) is a game that cannot be out of nominations in any award. This award wasn’t anything different. The theme music composed by Brian Tyler was up for nominations. Moreover, the Score of this theme song is by Austin Wintory, Obadiah Brown-Beach, Steven Grove, David Westbom.
5. Honor of Kings
The Honor of Kings or King of Glory is a mobile MOBA developed by TiMi Studios and published by Tencent Games for the iOS and Android users in the Chinese market. Their theme song composed by Edouard Brenneisen, Daniel James, Matthew Carl Earl, Steven Grove, Obadiah Brown-Beach, Robert Wolf was also among the nominations for this award.
6. Mythgard
The Mythgard is a collectible card game of boundless depth and infinite strategy. Their nominated theme song was composed by John Robert Matz.
COD Mobile finally wins the Award 2021 for the Season 6 theme song
Each and every season in COD Mobile has various themes songs for the lobby and other modes. Just like the other seasons, the COD Mobile Season 6 score was based on a Wild West theme, which was produced by TiMi Audio, Unisonar and directed by Merle Chen, Trum Pang and composed by Guillaume Roussel with Instruments, Mixing, Recording, and Mastering by the team.
