After the Call of Duty Mobile Championship in December of 2021 which was won by the North American team Tribe Gaming, fans were eagerly waiting for the 2022 edition. And now, with over $2 million in prize money, the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2022 has been announced and promises to be a major event for all eligible players across the globe. All eligible players can compete in COD Mobile World Championship 2022 earn in-game rewards, including new weapons and Operators, plus a share of the prize pool.
How to participate or sign up for COD Mobile World Championship 2022
Designed for players of all skill levels, Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the COD Mobile World Championship 2022 will be open to eligible entrants across the world. All players who sign up to compete will receive an all-new frame and calling card. And the whole tournament will be broadcasted on the newly made COD Mobile Esports youtube channel.
The Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2022 will be conducted regionally in multiple stages and begins in Stage 1 with four open online qualifiers. Each weekend from March 31st through April 24, 2022, UTC, eligible players that complete 10 ranked multiplayer matches and earn 60 points qualify for Stage 2 plus new rewards each week.
Stage 1: Solo Play (March 31st, 2022 – April 24th, 2022)
The path to the COD Mobile World Championship 2022 global finals begins with the Solo Play. In this stage, you just need to open Call of Duty Mobile, look for the World Championship 2022 button in the ranked multiplayer lobby, accept the official rules, and sign up for the World Championship 2022 to start earning tournament points! The higher your current rank, the more individual points per win you get when playing ranked multiplayer matches.
Points are awarded to Players in Stage 1 for wins in Ranked Matches. A Player may play more than ten Ranked Matches during Stage 1, but Points will only be awarded for the first ten Ranked Matches played by such Player. A Player will earn a different number of Points for each Match win depending on the Player’s rank in the Game, as described below:

Score 60 points in your 10 qualifying ranked matches during Stage 1 from March 31st, 2022 to April 24th, 2022 Epic blueprint each week! Plus, earn an Epic operator designed when you sign up and play 10 ranked matches during all four weekends.
Earn 60 points during any of the four eligible weekends to advance to Stage 2: Team Play and get closer to qualifying for a chance to win a share of more than $2 million in later stages!
Stage 2: Team Play (May 12th, 2022 – May 22nd, 2022)
All eligible players who have earned 60 points during one of the eligible weekends of Stage 1 will qualify for Stage 2 and will be notified via an in-game inbox message. It is up to each eligible player to create or join a team of 5 or 6 players who have qualified for Stage 2. Please note that this will be your team for the entirety of Stage 2, so choose carefully! Also, this should be noted that teams are not required to play any specific game mode or map to earn Points in Stage 2.
Points are awarded to Teams in Stage 2 for wins in Ranked Matches. A Team may play more than thirty (30) Ranked Matches during Stage 2, but Points will only be awarded for the first thirty (30) Ranked Matches played by such Team. Teams will earn a different number of Points for each Match win depending on the average rank of the Players on the Team, as described below:

Your team will then play up to 30 Ranked matches, and each win will yield points based on your team’s average player rank. As a team, place top 256 in select regions to advance to Stage 3 of the World Championship 2022, getting closer to the share of more than $2 million! n the event that Teams are tied for 256th place at the end of Stage 2, the Team that completed its thirty Ranked Matches first will qualify for Stage 3.
Stage 3 – Regional Qualifiers
If you qualify the Stage 2 of this tournament, then you will be eligible for Stage 3, to be held from 17th June 2022 and end on July 3rd, 2022, which is the Regional Qualifiers. More information on this stage is not available as of now. Furthermore, there will be a Stage 4 named Regional Playoffs Broadcasts which will comprise of these regions.

Eligible Jurisdictions may be added, removed or otherwise modified by the Administration at any time and for any reason in Administration’s sole discretion
Players will compete in Teams in matches against the other advancing Teams from the same Eligible Jurisdiction in a double-elimination tournament hosted on GameBattles. Each Player on a Team who has qualified for Stage 3 must have a valid Battle.net Account and a GameBattles Account. Battle.net Accounts are free and can be obtained by registering here.
GameBattles Accounts are free as well and can be obtained by registering here. Registration may require Players to link their Battle.net, GameBattles, Activision, and Game accounts or redeem a redemption code in order to validate their registration. Details on the registration process for Stage 3 shall be provided to Players by the Administration in prior to the start of the Regional Qualifiers.
Teams who win their initial Match of the Regional Qualifier will advance to the next round of the Winners Bracket until they lose a Match. Teams who lose a Match will be sent to the Elimination Bracket. Teams who lose a Match in the Elimination Bracket will be eliminated from the Regional Qualifier and the Tournament. The top eight (8) Teams of each Regional Qualifier will qualify for Stage 4 and will be seeded in the Stage 4 Group Stage based on their Regional Qualifier results.
Stage 4 – Regional Playoffs
When Stage 3 of the tournament is done and dusted, all regions have their top eight teams who will be competing in the Regional playoffs to qualify for the LAN event and a shot at the title of world champion.
Players will compete in Teams in Matches against the other advancing Teams from the same Eligible Jurisdiction in a two-stage regional playoff tournament. The first stage of each Regional Playoff will be conducted in a Swiss Elimination format, where all eight qualifying Teams will be seeded and play their first match based on their final placement in their Regional Qualifier.
Following the conclusion of the first Matches, Teams will then only play Teams in subsequent Matches that have the same win and loss record and will have matchups drawn based on the final placement of teams from the Regional Qualifiers.
Each Team will play Matches until they either win two (2) Matches or lose two Matches. Teams who have achieved won two Matches will move to the second stage of the Regional Playoff, while Teams who have lost two Matches will be eliminated from the Regional Playoff and the Tournament.
The second stage of each Regional Playoff will consist of a four (4) Team double-elimination bracket. Teams who win their first second stage Match will advance to the next round of the Winner’s Bracket. Teams who lose a Match will be sent to the Elimination Bracket.
Teams who lose two Matches will be eliminated from the Regional Playoff and the Tournament. The final two Teams will compete in the Stage 4 Regional Playoffs Championship Match.
Each Stage 4 Match other than the championship Match of each Regional Playoff shall be conducted as a best of five-game series. Championship Matches between the final two teams in each Regional Playoff shall be conducted as a best of seven-game series, with the Team who came from the Winner’s Bracket having a one-map advantage.
Five major regions are competing in the mega event, namely India (IND), Latin America (LATAM), Japan (JP), North America (NA), and Europe (EU). Here’s when and where to watch the Stage 4 Regional Playoffs.
India: 12:30am PT August 13th – August 14th
Japan: 11pm PT August 20th – August 21st
Latin America: 8am PT August 13th – August 14th
North America: 10am PT August 27th – August 28th
Europe: 7am PT August 20th – August 21st
Stage 5 – World Championship Finals
Players will compete in Teams in Matches against the other advancing Teams in a two (2) stage championship tournament (the “World Championship Finals”). The first stage of the World Championship Finals will be conducted in a Swiss Elimination format, where all sixteen qualifying Teams will be seeded and play their first match based on their final placement in their Regional Playoff. The Stage 5 for COD Mobile World Championship 2022 will be taking place in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA from December 15th – December 18th, 2022 along Call of Duty League.
Following the conclusion of the first Matches, Teams will then only play Teams in subsequent Matches that have the same win and loss record and will have matchups drawn based on the final placement of teams from the Regional Playoffs. Each Team will play Matches until they either win three Matches or lose three Matches. Teams who have won three Matches will move to the second stage of the World Championship Finals, while Teams who have lost three Matches will be eliminated from the World Championship Finals and the Tournament.
The second stage of the World Championship Finals will consist of an eight Team double-elimination bracket. Teams who win their first second stage Match will advance to the next round of the Winner’s Bracket. Teams who lose a Match will be sent to the Elimination Bracket. Teams who lose two Matches will be eliminated from the World Championship Finals and the Tournament. The final two Teams will compete in the world championship Match (the “World Championship Match”).
Each Stage 5 Match other than the World Championship Match shall be conducted as a best of five-game series. The World Championship Match shall be conducted as a best of seven-game series, with the Team who came from the Winner’s Bracket having a one map advantage.
Travel Restrictions and Guidelines
In order to maintain competitive integrity with respect to latency, certain Teams competing in Stage 5 will be required to travel to a location(s) determined by the Administration. The Administration reserves the right to change the number of Teams required to travel to such destination from any region at any time and for any reason.
Participants will be required to complete and execute any travel-related documents and waivers as directed by the Administration and comply with the terms set forth therein. Details will be provided to the Participants by the Administration. Any Team that is unable or unwilling to travel when directed, or fails to return any required travel documents, will be subject to disqualification from Stage 5 at the Administration’s sole discretion.
The Stage 4 and 5 will be played in Double Elimination Structure
For each Regional Playoff in the COD Mobile World Championship 2022, teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket. Teams who win their match will advance to the next round of the Winners Bracket. Teams who lose one match will be sent to the Elimination Bracket. The teams who lose two matches will be eliminated from the Tournament. The final team of each Regional Playoff will advance to the World Championship Finals.
More than $2,000,000 in prizes up for grabs
Stage 1 Rewards
On their first sign-up, players will get 500 in-game Credits and an epic Frame – 2022 Competitor. The higher your rank, the more points you are awarded per win! Added to these signup rewards, you can also earn an epic character – Zero – Main event.
Players need to register and play 10 ranked multiplayer matches in each of the four weekends of Stage 1 (from March 31st, 2022 – April 24th, 2022) to earn Charly Local Legend. We will now have a look at what each of the qualifying weekends will reward the players.
For the qualifying weekends, Activision has designed different in-game weaponry with region-specific camos. All the five regions – namely India (IND), Latin America (LATAM), Japan (JP), North America (NA), and Europe (EU) will have their special camoed guns available for the players to add to their arsenal.
Stage 2 Rewards
After earning 60 points in any qualifying weekend during Stage 1 to advance in the World Championship 2021, it’s time to team up to keep competing and earning rewards!
Charly – Local Legend: Play 30 qualifying ranked multiplayer matches with your team to earn Zero – Main event, an Epic operator designed for the players participating in this tournament from around the globe.
Moreover, an additional 1000 CP will be rewarded to players who place among the top 256 teams in their region to earn 1000 CP and advance to Stage 3: Regional Qualifiers of the World Championship 2022!
Stage 4 Rewards
Players can earn viewership rewards by watching the Regional Playoffs in-game. Look out for the Play button icon at the top of the Call of Duty Mobile home screen lobby during each live broadcast. You just have to tap to enter, watch, and earn reward drops!
