New Scorestreak: Chopper Gunner
Chopper Gunner gives you manual control of a powerful gunner seat aboard a combat ready helicopter. This new scorestreak will be available via the Season 2 Battle Pass. The Chopper Gunner is a ground-controlled scorestreak reward that gives the player the ability to control an armed Helicopter.
Contrary to popular belief that the Chopper Gunner lasts for 40 seconds, it lasts for approximately 58 seconds. It does have aim assist features, a floating crosshair, and a target marker. The steady stream of shots allows the user to easily kill many enemy targets, especially on outdoor levels.
When first activated, the user sees, from the gunner’s point of view, the helicopter taking off some distance from the battlefield and flying towards it. The user can begin firing almost immediately, but hitting targets at this distance is usually impossible because the gunner cannot shoot anything at such an angle.
New Weapon: JAK-12 Shotgun
JAK-12 is a fully automatic open bolt shotgun that is already available in COD Modern Warfare and COD Warzone. It has a recoil-reducing gas blowback system and thus, it has great hipfire accuracy and pellet spread.Â
With zero attachments, the JAK-12 can one-shot kill a 100 health, no armor enemy out to about three meters. This effective range can be extended slightly with a multitude of Barrel and Muzzle attachments, but in general, a standard JAK-12 is best used within a dozen meters, where fast follow-up shots can down enemies quickly.
JAK-12 is a functional weapon coming to Call of Duty Mobile Season 2 battle pass and will be available as a free reward. All you have to do is climb up to Tier 21 by earning Battle Pass XP through seasonal challenges, playing matches, etc.
Multiplayer updates in COD Mobile Season 2 2022
New map: Hardhat
Construction’s booming in the city when a skirmish breaks out at a work site. First appearing in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Hardhat is a classic small map featuring plenty of choke points and close-quarters combat. Navigate the unfinished buildings, watch for enemies in those pipes, and whatever you do, keep moving; if you don’t hunt them, they’ll hunt you.
The two main spawns are on either side of the map. Hardhat is perfect for close-quarters combat, due to its small size, however, there are multiple locations where medium-range battles take place. There are also one or two long-range sight-lines, perfect for snipers. Much of the map is suited to close-quarters combat, with sharp corners and short lines of sight.
The central building (just south of the actual ‘center’ of the map) is the main choke point of the map, with four entrances to the area, this building can be hard to defend as enemies can attack from both sides. Teamwork is essential to survive here for long. One of the entrances is a pipe that runs under the map, which often sees intense battles.
New themed event: Counter Intel
Terrorists have seized control of the city, and it’s up to you to liberate the hostages in this epic event. Complete daily tasks across Multiplayer and Battle Royale to earn event points that allow you to retake territory one node at a time. Some nodes offer a strategic advantage, while others stack the odds against you. Keep fighting whatever the cost.
Earn rewards like new Operators, Weapons Blueprints, and more along the way. Complete the whole event to take home three epic rewards: the QXR – Gentleman’s Side Arm, the Minotaur – Maze Keeper, and the Charm – Nutcracker. There are thirteen rewards in all, so rescue those hostages and retake the city!
New Seasonal Challenges in COD Mobile Season 2 2022 update
The One-Four-One has plenty of work ahead with a new set of Seasonal Challenges on the way, including one at launch and four more releasing throughout the following month. Get Weapon Blueprints and Battle Royale camos from the Long Bite and Winged Smoke series.
Also, there will be up to 30,000 Battle Pass XP to help you fly through the tiers. Complete the final challenge to access the Crossbow – Violet Flow Weapon Blueprint and the Special Ops 1 – Herald Operator Skin.
Celebrate the Festival of Colors and Carnival with new Bundles
Get in the festive spirit with new Bundles arriving in Season 2 update, celebrating the Festival of Colors and Carnival.
Holi, also called the Festival of Colors, commemorates the change from winter to spring and the victory of good over evil. The Festival of Colors Bundle includes a themed Weapon Blueprint for the AK117, a Scout 2 Operator Skin, plus a Festival of Colors-themed Wingsuit, a Knife, a Sticker, a Calling Card, and Spray.

Balance Adjustments and Optimizations in Season 2 2022 of Call of Duty Mobile
Multiplayer
AK47
AK47 has always been one of the slow-firing rifles. However, using AK47 to eliminate enemies within three shots has been hard to achieve in comparison to ASM10 and Man-O-War. Players suffer a higher penalty when shots are missed, leaving them unsatisfied with AK47’s performance in MP mode.
Therefore, the devs have made an adjustment by increasing the damage of shots hit in the chest and upper arm area. This adjustment will increase the margin of error in the first range segment when players are looking to eliminate opponents within three shots. The adjustment should also strengthen lethal shots on injured opponents in medium and long combat distance.
Since AK47 5.45 Caliber Ammo has a shorter firing range in comparison with other mainstream rifles, devs have slightly increased the firing range and the capacity of 5.45 Caliber Ammo. AK47 also shows a low-cost efficiency with accessories due to its strong recoil. The devs have decreased the recoil of the rifle.
Base
- Increased damage multiplier of hitting chest and upper arm area5.45 Caliber Ammo
- Reduced recoil
- Increased damage range
- Increased ammo capacity
HBRa3
Hitting an accurate shot with HBRa3 did not provide the players a sense of thrilling reward. Therefore, devs have increased the damage of headshots and hitting the abdomen area in the second range segment to allow the possibility of eliminating an opponent with four shots. In addition, the range of firearms is slightly increased to adapt to the current mainstream rifle range.
Base
- Increased damage multiplier of hitting head
- Increased damage multiplier of hitting chest and abdomen
- Increased damage range
- Increased reload speed
Also, there will be a new attachment named Gun Belt which will reduce sprint-to-fire lag, improve the control handling of horizontal and vertical recoil of HBRa3.
Kilo 141
Kilo 141 has got the range of basic recoil changes reduced so that it can play its due Time-to-Kill advantage at medium and long distances.
Peacekeeper MK2
The horizontal recoil of Peacekeeper MK2 has been difficult to control. It has not been suitable for medium-distance combat even when it is equipped with stabilizers.
Base
- Improved the horizontal recoil animation to achieve a smoother handling.
- Reduced horizontal recoil
RUS 79U
RUS-79U is an overall comprehensive weapon. It has good mobility, endurance, and stability. However, its prolonged Time to Kill range puts it in a disadvantage during close combat. Therefore, the devs have lengthened its shooting range in the first segment to better help with its close-range combat ability. Also, the shoot range in the first segment has been increased.
Type 25
Type 25 has revitalized the use of close-range rifles and exceeded expectations since the buff from 13.0. However, its smooth trajectory and fast reload time have created dominance in long-distance combat, making it supreme in all combat ranges. Therefore, the devs have increased its hit flinch, slightly increased its bullet spread and reload time, and adjusted the negative effects of the 42/46 magazine.
Base
- Increased base hit flinch
- Increased base bullet spread
- Increased base reload time
- 42 Round Fast Reload
- Increased ADS time
- Increased reload time
- Reduced ADS movement speed
- 46 Round Extended Mag
- Increased ADS time
- Reduced ADS movement speed
Rytec AMR
With particular ammunition, this heavy-duty sniper rifle can perform a single lethal shot. Preventing this particular ammunition from penetrating walls has effectively balanced out the strength of AMR.
So, the devs have slightly increased the range of the firearm to enhance its strength in Multiplayer mode. Also, the base damage range has been increased now. And lastly, the damage range of the MIP Light Barrel (Short) attachment has also been increased.
NA45
The short lock time of NA45 leaves little room for opponents to react. It requires opponents to counterplay by acquiring protective gears. Therefore, the devs have slightly increased the duration of NA45’s lock time in order to give opponents more time to react in combat. Also, the lock time of the Light Trigger has been increased.
Battle Royale
In the Battle Royale mode, only one significant change has been brought in. In the mode, the time needed to clear out distractions in the Hacker class has been reduced.
