Ashfall has announced its first closed beta test scheduled this August 3rd with test registration currently open. Initially scheduled for July, the players can now register to participate in the CBT of the upcoming adventure shooter MMORPG developed by Legendary Star Studios.
A new production documentary will also be unveiled at NetEase Connect 2023
First titled Project: 56, Ashfall made its first appearance at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 after being renamed. The game takes place in a bleak wasteland where players must leave their shelter in pursuit of the legendary key known as the Core of Creation, begin their adventure, explore the land, collect essentials, combat monsters, and accomplish missions.
As humanity’s greatest creation once turned against them, a post-apocalyptic world burned by nuclear war is brought on by a massive artificial intelligence that betrayed humanity and intended to exterminate all life on Earth except the robots. Ashfall offers an immersive online multiplayer gameplay experience in which players can team up to conquer higher difficulty levels or play solo to test their abilities.
The game also supports cross-platform play between PC and mobile devices, allowing players to immerse themselves across platforms. A new production documentary will also be unveiled at the NetEase Connect 2023 with the game’s original soundtrack produced by Steve Mazzaro and Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer.
Players who wish to participate in the August CBT can fill up the test recruitment questionnaire here. Currently, the game is set for release in 2023 for PC, and mobile, which include both Android and iOS devices. Players can however pre-register on their website. The date is still unannounced, so we shall have to wait patiently.
