Marvel SNAP completed a successful 2023 while still maintaining the hype of last year and winning several awards in 2023 as well. With an aim toward a wonderful 2024, Marvel Snap has shared its update roadmap for the year that gives us an overview of what to expect, with hints at in-game events, Clans, new concepts, and more.

Upcoming additions
First things first, we shall look at the upcoming additions confirmed. First on the list is the much-anticipated Album Improvements, where player feedback has played a crucial role. This means more albums, smoother completion, and adding more to the emote collection.
Selectable Card Effects and Borders are on the horizon, after a long request queue from fans. Now, you can customize your gaming experience by choosing preferred card borders and combining them with favored Infinity Split combos.
2024 marks the introduction of In-Game Events, starting with Leagues. Here you engage in matchups competing for the most cubes and exciting rewards against players of similar skill and collection levels. During the event, you will compete to see who can earn the most cubes to earn awesome rewards.
Another interesting addition is the Character Mastery system, targeting the individual characters. Collect character-specific cosmetics to unlock new Splits and exclusive rewards. As Mastery levels increase, unlock unique Reactions and fun emojis for cards and locations. Each character offers Mastery Milestone challenges for a sense of accomplishment and rewards like new Splits or Collectible Borders.
Features in Development for 2024
As always, the team is actively working on some cool stuff to make Marvel Snap even better and the development section is an example of it. They’re testing a new social feature called Clans where players can team up, complete missions, and earn rewards together. You might know how this works in other games. This will be rolled out in phases, with chances for players to give feedback and make it even better.
Another thing in the works is Collectible Borders, which brings entirely new card borders for even more cosmetic personalization that you can acquire and apply to a character. Booster Vats are also coming, letting you pick a character to get boosters after a match. You can choose the size of the vat, and the character you want, complete an objective, and collect your boosters.
They’re also planning more types of events to keep the game interesting and adding something mysterious called In-Game Graveyard, hinting at some new gameplay, while more event types will also be making way soon.
Features in the concept stage
The concept stage is of big dreams as they mention. Right now, they’re in the early planning stages, turning these ideas into plans. Nothing is set in stone yet, and this is where they need your help the most with the feedback.
They’re thinking about things like a new way to play the game, fresh game modes that haven’t been finalized yet, and competitions between clans. They’re also considering something called Ultimate Variant Evolution, which sounds like a big and exciting change.
