NetEase Games has established a new game studio PinCool, Inc (PinCool) as part of its games division. PinCool, a studio with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, is made up of professionals with years of experience in several parts of interactive entertainment, including video games, movie creatives, live events, and IP licensing.
Ryutaro Ichimura, a 20-year veteran of the gaming industry and a longtime producer of the Dragon Quest series, is the representative director and president of PinCool. Ichimura not only worked as the chief producer for video games like “Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King” and “Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies,” and also contributed to the creation of anime like Dragon Quest: Adventure of Dai He oversaw several other Dragon Quest IP franchise endeavors, including as live performances and exhibitions.

PinCool plans to provide high-quality entertainment experiences to users worldwide
Takashi Ogura will also become a board member of PinCool. A number of online enterprises, including Doraemon at Epoch Co., Ltd., Duffy at Oriental Land Co., Ltd., and Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai at Square Enix Co., Ltd., involved Ogura in branding and marketing, company development, and business strategy in the past.
“Creativity to enhance enjoyment of life sums up our philosophy. The phrase “pin to kuru” in Japanese, which describes when an idea clicks, is the source of the firm name. The English term “PinCool” is similarly spoken and styled to also include the word “cool.” We provide a service that is unique to us. The company will work on a variety of new types of entertainment in addition to its primary concentration on creating games for video game consoles.
