Supercell is a famous name in the mobile games industry. However, they have only published a handful of titles since their inception in the year 2010. The company’s main titles such as Clash of Clans and Clash Royale continue to enjoy a high degree of popularity but CEO IIka Pannaen stated that the company plans to do more for players going forward in a recent blog post. And in the same post, the Supercell CEO also mentioned that there are 7 new games at the various stages of development.
2022 has a lot to look forward to for Supercell fans
Two of supercell’s classic titles, Hay Day and Clash of Clans both celebrate their ten-year anniversaries this year. Pannaen confirmed that there were a number of special events and celebrations lined up for fans of the respective titles. He also hinted that the two games could have a lot of new content.
When it came to some of the studio’s other titles, the CEO was more ambiguous saying that the development teams were “working hard” to ensure that the best possible experience is being delivered to players.
Pannaen goes on to mention that the company has “seven new games” under development. Although he did not provide a time frame as to when the games would go live, he stated that each of the seven games were unique and offered a completely different experience for players. He hopes that “at least one of the games” will be available to the general public in the near future. And it is still unclear if these seven actually include the three Clash games or not.
Given supercell’s track record, there is no doubt that the titles being developed would turn into smash hits. While fans may still have to wait for a few years to experience them all, the promise of new content to existing supercell titles such as Clash of Clans is sure to keep them busy, at least for now.
