So make sure to check these hero guides as well. For now, let’s focus on Wanwan.

Skill Analysis

Wanwan, like many other heroes in Mobile Legends, has three active skills and a passive skill. In this Mobile Legends guide, we’ll discuss when to use the skills for Wanwan in different situations and how to use skill combinations to unleash Wanwan’s full potential in Mobile Legends.

Wanwan Tiger Pace

When Wanwan hits an enemy with her attacks, their positions and weaknesses are exposed for 5 seconds. After striking an enemy’s weaknesses, she deals an extra 12% damage for 5 seconds and inflicts 55 (+3 times her hero level) True Damage. Wanwan can also move a short distance when she throws a Sleeve Dart, and this movement speed increases with her attack speed.

Skill 1 – Swallow’s Path ( AoE, CC)

CD –  10.0 / 9.6 / 9.2 / 8.8 / 8.4 / 8.0

Wanwan Crossbow of Tang

Wanwan throws a Fire Swallow in a specific direction, triggering Tiger Pace and dealing 120-220 (+40% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to nearby enemies. Every 0.5 seconds, she retrieves a Swallow Dagger from the Fire Swallow, dealing 60-120 (+65% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies it hits, and slowing them by 30% for 1.5 seconds. If the same target is hit by the Swallow Dagger twice, they are stunned for 0.5 seconds.

Skill 2 – Needles in Flowers (Remove CC, AoE)

CD – 16.0 / 15.0 / 14.0 / 13.0 / 12.0 / 11.0

Wanwan can instantly remove any crowd control effects from herself, activating Tiger Pace and releasing deadly needles towards nearby enemies. This attack deals 150-250 (+60% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage.

Ultimate Skill – Crossbow of Tang (Burst)

CD – 40.0 / 37.0 / 34.0

Passive: The damage Wanwan deals to creeps increases by 20%-40% each time she upgrades her Crossbow of Tang.

Active: When Wanwan activates her crossbow, she fires arrows at an enemy hero for 2.5 seconds. Each arrow inflicts 70-90 (+35% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage. If she eliminates an enemy hero while her crossbow is active, she switches to another target, extends her crossbow activation for 1 second (up to 3 times, max 5.5 seconds), and boosts her Attack Speed by 30%. The Triggering Crossbow of Tang requires hitting an enemy’s 3 Weaknesses.

The shots from Crossbow of Tang count as Basic Attacks, and the number of arrows she shoots depends on her Attack Speed. Wanwan retrieves her crossbow or eliminates an enemy hero, Tiger Pace is activated.

Skill-up method for Wanwan

Unlock her first skill first followed by her second skill. Unlock ultimate at level 4. Prioritize upgrading her first skill and the Ultimate whenever it’s possible. Her first skill is the most effective for activating her ultimate.

Combinations to perform with Wanwan

Wanwan, the agile marksman in Mobile Legends, has a versatile skill set that allows for various combinations and strategies in battles. Here are some combinations and tips to maximize Wanwan’s potential:

Combo

This is the best combo to activate Wanwan’s Skill 3, it is best when you hide in a bush and surprise enemies. Make sure that you break the enemy’s weakness at the back with your Skill 1 and break the two at the front with basic attacks. Start like this:

Basic Attack + Skill 1 + Basic Attack + Skill 2 + Basic Attack + Skill 3

Use this when you are controlled by enemies and this is good when facing low-mobility heroes. Use skill 2 to remove the CC then break the weaknesses. Perform like this:

Skill 2 + Basic Attack + Skill 1 + Basic Attack + Skill 3

Best Emblem set and Spells for Wanwan in Mobile Legends

For Wanwan in the Gold Lane, we suggest using the Custom Marksman emblem. You can pick talents that best match your style and needs to improve your Wanwan gameplay.

Custom Marksman Emblem

In the Gold Lane, Wanwan benefits from the Custom Marksman emblem, which boosts her Attack Speed, Adaptive Attack, and Lifesteal, allowing her to deal more damage and maintain her health in fights. For standard talents, we recommend Swift and Pull Yourself Together to improve attack speed and reduce the cooldown of battle spells and equipment.

As for the core talent, choose Weakness Finder. It not only slows down enemy movement but also reduces their attack speed. This makes it a solid choice for gaining control in battles and avoiding enemies. However, if you want to read an in-depth emblem guide, check here.

Battle Spells

If players are feeling confident and trust the team, you can opt for the aggressive spell, Inspire. It significantly boosts your ultimate’s damage and provides more Attack Speed, which can help you trigger the last Weakness and move swiftly behind enemies. Alternatively, you can choose Aegis for a shield that safeguards you against burst damage.

Best Builds for Wanwan in Mobile Legends

Wanwan offers flexibility in her builds, allowing you to adapt to the enemy team composition and determine your role on the battlefield. In this Mobile Legends guide, we provided a template to experiment with in your Wanwan gameplay.

  • Corrosion Scythe: Corrosion Scythe provides a large amount of Attack Speed available for one Item due to its passive. On top of that, the slowness makes kiting even easier for Wanwan and the damage is nice.
  • Demon Hunter Sword: Wanwan’s ultimate will trigger DHS’ passive as well. But even now, the on-hit damage helps Wanwan with sufficient damage output. Due to her overall low damage output with basic attacks, Demon Hunter Sword helps with DPS while still providing good Attack Speed.
  • Windtalker: It is one of the core items for Wanwan. Attack speed is very important for her. It gives 40% attack speed and also crits chances, with this item she will be able to deal good damage in the early game.
  • Malefic Roar: If enemies have high physical defence items or tanky heroes. This item can lower their physical defence with high Physical penetration.
  • Wind of Nature: This is the best item to face against physical damage dealers. Its passive is great to outplay the enemies. Activating Wind Chant makes it immune to all physical attacks for 2s and also gives life steal.
  • Rosegold Meteor: The deal choice to defend against Magic burst damage as it offers a shield that absorbs and mitigates incoming magical damage, protecting against sudden bursts of magic-based attacks.
  • Berserker’s Fury: This item increases crit chances. This helps to burst down enemies with basic attacks.
  • The Final Item: This depends on the enemy lineup or game situation. If the enemy has high magic damage heroes then build Athena Shield to avoid getting busted. You can also buy Immortality which can give you a chance to escape.

Mobile Legends Wanwan Gameplay Tips

Wanwan, like other marksmen, relies on items to perform well. In the early game, it will be crucial to focus on farming and gaining gold while avoiding ganks. As a Gold Laner, you should stay in your lane. To excel with any hero, a good understanding of the map is essential. Wanwan’s gameplay can be divided into three phases: early, mid, and late game. Our Mobile Legends Wanwan guide provides a game plan for each of these phases.

Early Game

Early in the game, the main goal is to farm and accumulate gold. Stay in the Gold Lane and be mindful of the positioning to avoid getting caught by the enemy. It is essential to have map awareness and be cautious of potential ganks.

Mobile Legends Wanwan Gameplay Early Game

If your lane opponent is slow or immobile, you can attempt to harass them and secure a kill. However, your top priority remains efficient farming and staying alive. Keep an eye on the map, and if the enemy midlaner approaches, consider retreating to avoid danger.

Mid Game

With Corrosion Scythe, Wanwan gains a power boost in the early game. Focus on helping secure objectives like the Turtle and targeting tanky foes to unlock your ultimate. One should trigger all the weaknesses of a melee hero before using your ultimate.

In the mid-game, Wanwan’s damage output increases, and she becomes a valuable asset in team fights. Pay attention to objectives and rotations while capitalizing on farming opportunities. This is essential for her game impact.

Late Game

In the late game, Wanwan must be cautious and not get too overconfident. Even with one defensive item, she can still be taken down quickly. It’s a good idea to stay back and ambush enemies by using her first skill to set up her ultimate. Correct positioning is key, as one wrong move can cost the game. However, a well-timed ultimate can be a game-changer, so patience is important. Don’t forget to adapt your build if necessary.

During the late game, Wanwan becomes a powerful damage dealer. Stick with your team because she can make a big impact in team fights and help secure victories. Her ultimate is excellent for taking out enemies quickly. To win, it’s essential to control the map and position yourself strategically to secure objectives.

In Mobile Legends, your hero’s strength isn’t solely tied to purchased items; Emblems play a significant role too. Fully leveled Emblems offer stats like a completed item, but their impact relies on choosing the right talents. With the revamped emblem system, catering to specific hero roles, understanding these talents becomes crucial for optimal performance. With the new emblem system tailored for different hero roles, knowing these talents well is key to boosting your hero’s power. This Mobile Legends Emblem Guide breaks it all down, helping you choose wisely for your hero’s success in battles.

What are Emblems in Mobile Legends

Emblems in Mobile Legends are like personalized power-ups for heroes. They’re categorized based on hero roles such as tanks, mages, assassins, and more. How do I upgrade Emblems efficiently

After the revamp, upgrading Emblems in Mobile Legends doesn’t need Battle Points anymore. Now, you’ll use Emblem Fragments or Magic Dust to level them up. To wrap up our Mobile Legends Emblem guide, let’s talk about the best ways to get Fragments and Dust.

Emblem Matrix

In the shop’s Prep section, there’s this Emblem Matrix you can roll. Every few days, they spotlight a specific Emblem, giving you a better shot at getting Fragments for that Emblem if you roll it five times. You can use tickets or gold to do these rolls.

Lucky Standard Emblem Chest

The event featured a massive prize pool of $40,000, similar to the earlier events in Cambodia, to share among the teams. Based on their ranking after the end of the tournament, the teams were awarded. Being crowned the champion, the team took the largest share of the prize money which was $16,000. The runner-up DRoar Legends bagged $8,000 while the third-placed team Team Flash KH pocketed $5,000.

Apart from winning a large portion of the prize money, the team will be heading to Riyadh to represent Cambodia in the MSC 2024. Thus, the responsibility falls upon the team to perform well, and so will the fans who want to watch.

With the upcoming Patch 1.8.84 Update in the Advanced Server, devs at MOONTON Games continue to make changes in the Hero balance changes, in the build-up to the Project NEXT 2024 Update. The aim has been to reach a more all-rounded gaming experience with the heroes and continuous adjustments will create such a world in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Let us break down Patch 1.8.84 Update in Mobile Legends in detail.

Mobile Legends Patch 1.8.84 Update: Hero Adjustments

Yi Sun-shin (Buffed)

Although Yi Sun-shin has good growth, in the mid to late game, his damage relies on enhanced Basic Attacks from Passive, leading to a lack of a safe damage-dealing environment. To win, players must get Gold quickly to gain an economic advantage when playing as Yi Sun-shin. In this case, most Yi Sun-shin players spend a lot of time on repetitive “Gold farming” throughout the match.

Experimental Adjustments

Devs hope to solve this problem by reducing the damage of Yi Sun-shin’s enhanced Basic Attacks from Passive in the mid to late game, while also giving him higher damage capabilities in the early game.

Passive (~)

  • First Enhanced Basic Attack Damage: 70%-100% Crit Damage (scales with Ult level) >> 80% Crit Damage at all levels
  • Second Enhanced Basic Attack Damage: 55%-70% Crit Damage (scales with Ult level) >> 60% Crit Damage at all levels

Skill 1 (↑)

CD: 12-7s >> 12-9.5s

Skill 2 (↑)

Slash and Arrow Damage: 240-340 + 80% of Total Physical Attack >> 300-425 +100% of Total Physical Attack

Aulus (Nerfed)

Mobile Legends Patch 1.8.84 Update Mobile legends Aulus MLBB

After last week’s adjustments, Aulus’ strength has exceeded our expectations. Therefore, we are making further adjustments to him. We will continue to monitor Aulus’ performance and ensure his strength remains at a reasonable level.

Passive (↓)

Attack Speed of each Stack: 12%-18% >> 9%-15%

Skill 1 (↓)

Damage Reduction: 50% at all levels >> 30%-50%

Ultimate (↓)

Basic Attacks’ Physical Damage Increased from Blade Craft at Full Stack: 80 >> 50

X.Borg (Buffed)

Devs have noticed that the nerf to Spell Vamp Ratio had a significant impact on X.Borg, so devs have decided to revert to the previous nerf and continue to monitor his performance.

Skill 1 (↑)

Spell Vamp Ratio: 50% >> 100%

Ultimate (↑)

Spell Vamp Ratio: 50% >> 100%

Atlas (Buffed)

Currently, Atas’ early game power is relatively weak, and he relies heavily on the mobility provided by Skill 2. We hope to see him get picked more often in high-rank matches, so we have strengthened his early-game power.

Passive (↑)

Increased Physical & Magic Defense During Frigid Breath: 11-25 >> 16-30

Skill 2 (↑)

Cooldown: 15-10s >> 12-10s

Wanwan (Buffed)

Wanwan Mobile Legends Game Cover
Image via MOONTON Games

Due to Wanwan’s unique “move after each attack” mechanic, her sustained damage is weaker than most Marksmen. We have increased her Attack Speed to compensate for this.

Attributes (↑)

  • Basic Attack Speed: 0.98 >> 1.13
  • Attack Speed Growth: 1% >> 2%

Xavier (Nerfed)

Reverted some previous adjustments.

Passive (↓)

Skill Cooldown reduced for Ultimate by Stage III: 32s >> 36s

Ultimate (↓)

  • Cooldown: 52-48s >> 60-52s
  • Damage: 600-1200 +200% of Total Magic Power >> 600-1100 +180% of Total Magic Power

Beatrix (Buffed)

Devs have slightly increased her damage in the late game.

Attributes (↑)

Physical Attack Growth: 9.5 >> 11

Mobile Legends Patch 1.8.84 Update: Battlefield & System Adjustments

Equipment Adjustments

Malefic Gun (~)

Experimental Adjustments

In Layla’s Workshop, we noticed that the active skill of Malefic Gun can be difficult for some players to master the timing to cast. Players will often struggle with whether to choose Malefic Gun or Wind of Nature.

We have changed it to Passive in this patch. To compensate for the decrease in the upper limit by increasing the range, we added a simple trigger for this “new” Passive to ensure it is powerful enough and enjoyable to play.

Price: 1940

Attributes
  • +45 Physical Attack
  • +25% Attack Speed
  • +15% Lifesteal
Unique Passive – Malefic Energy (Reworked)

Landing a skill increases the Basic Attack range by 15% for 3s (6s cooldown).

Unique Passive – Zeal

Basic Attacks grant 15% Movement Speed for 1s.

Wishing Lantern (~)

Unique Passive – Seeker (~)
  • Passive Trigger: 500 Magic Damage dealt >> 800 Magic Damage dealt
  • Magic Damage: 6% of target’s current HP >> 10% of target’s current HP

Battlefield Adjustments

Neutral Lord

Some Junalers still prefer to spend their time fighting the Lord. Now the longer, you fight the Lord. the higher the “price” you have to pay.

New Effect: When the Lord is aggro, increase Physical Penetration by 10% per second up to 10 times. Devs have reverted the Regen Reduction effect from the last patch.

Current of the Turtle

The issue with Current is that just when players want to step on it to help their teammates, the Movement Speed bonus ends. Therefore, devs have decided to extend the duration of the current.

Duration of Current: 10s >> 15s

Spawn Point

Devs have optimized the speed of Spawn Point’s HP Regen. The Regen speed is doubled, but the amount of HP recovered each time has been halved (total Regen time remains unchanged). Check out our other articles on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

ByteDance, the company behind the popular video-sharing app TikTok and MOONTON Games, has chosen a new CEO for the creator of the popular game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Zhang Yunfan, formerly with Animal Rumble creator Perfect World, now heads the Shanghai-based studio, which ByteDance acquired in 2021.

ByteDance has its ambitions to succeed in the gaming industry spearheaded by MOONTON

If you did not know, ByteDance officially distanced itself from the gaming universe last year. The Chinese multimedia giant was looking for contracts with other game companies such as Tencent Games to sell its gaming assets including unreleased games that were in work, while also there were rumors of it actively seeking buyers for MOONTON which the company later denied.

While they did sell two game studios to Tencent earlier this year in March, their effort continued with MOONTON. Now, after a year, it seems that with many divisions and branches gone, ByteDance can solely concentrate on the MLBB creator and hence invest more time and effort to push them into the next level.

Despite these changes that might have hindered the progress of going big in the industry, MOONTON’s commitment to the gaming industry remains strong. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, launched in 2016, has been a major success, particularly in Southeast Asia. It ranks among the top Chinese mobile games globally and is popular in overseas markets, and this is something ByteDance doesn’t want to miss.

As reported by Bloomberg, with this new leadership and ByteDance’s strategic shift with a new CEO at the helm, MOONTON looks set to continue its success in the gaming world, and in my opinion, sure, they are heading the right way. Sure, there might not be that big push given ByteDance discarded the majority of its studios, but with MLBB, it is a huge control over the MOBA market.

Magic Chess is a captivating game mode within the Mobile Legends universe, offering a unique blend of strategy and hero management. In this mode, eight players compete in a chessboard-like arena, where they strategically deploy heroes, known as commanders, to battle both each other and AI-controlled creeps. The goal is to assemble a formidable team, harness synergies, and outmaneuver opponents to claim victory. This Mobile Legends Magic Chess Commander Tier List is your essential guide in mastering this dynamic game mode.

Best Meta Commanders for Mobile Legends in Season 17

Buss

From what I’ve seen, Buss is one of the top-tier commanders because his economic advantage allows you to level up faster and recruit stronger heroes earlier in the game. His critical hit boosts can turn the tide of battles, giving you a significant edge. Whether you’re focusing on a balanced strategy or an aggressive approach, Buss’s unique abilities ensure that you stay ahead of your opponents, making him an indispensable commander in your lineup.

Ling

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Magic Chess Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Magic Chess Ling

In my experience, Ling shines when you need to execute quick, decisive strikes against your opponents. His ability to boost attack speed significantly amplifies your team’s burst damage, making it easier to eliminate enemy units rapidly. The Divine Phoenix summon not only adds extra firepower but also disrupts enemy formations, giving you a tactical advantage. Ling’s buffs are a game-changer in tight matches, often turning the tide in your favor.

Tharz

Mobile Legends Magic Chess Tharz

In my experience, Tharz is still a top-tier commander in Magic Chess because of his unique abilities. He can boost 2-star heroes early in the game and gain a significant late-game advantage by devouring the Shop and granting heroes at the start of each round. Tharz’s versatility in helping complete synergies and strengthen team compositions has made him a popular choice among players.

Final Thoughts

Certainly, it’s crucial to keep in mind that the effectiveness of these Commanders can shift due to game updates and changing strategies. This highlights the importance of staying up-to-date and adjusting your tactics to match the current state of Magic Chess. The game frequently undergoes alterations, including hero balance changes and new additions, which can impact which Commanders and hero combinations work best. Players who adapt to these shifts and choose their Commanders wisely tend to have a better chance of success.
