Genshin Impact is a free-to-play adventure RPG developed and published by miHoYo. The game showcases a fantasy an open world environment and an action-based battle system using elemental magic, character switching. Moreover, in order to buy in-game items, it uses gacha monetization.
The game was released on 28 September 2020 and amassed massive downloads on both iOS and Android. According to reports, Genshin Impact was the biggest international release of any Chinese video game. Within a month the game grossed over $245 million in the form of revenue. This led it to become one of the largest mobile game launches in history.
