Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo has made an announcement today that the Genshin Impact Version 1.6 update Midsummer Island Adventure is set to arrive on the date of 9th June 2021. The update will arrive in the various platforms of PC, Android, iOS, PS4 and PS5. With a hot summertime coming in the world of Tevyat, Travelers can join Klee for several fun adventures on faraway seas. The update will also see the introduction of alternate character outfits and a new playable character from Inazuma.
Highlights from the Version 1.6 Update
Venture into the lands of Dodoland to complete exciting challenges
Klee receives a letter from the Dodo-King which threatens her that Dodoco will be taken away from her. To help the likes of Klee and Dodoco, Travelers must sail in ‘Waverider‘ to the mysterious Dodoland. The wits of the player will be put to test, which also includes a tough fight with Maguu Kenki. Players must fight in close-range combats against the opponent who has the ability to call upon phantoms, dealing both Anemo and Cryo damage. The event currencies from the challenges can redeem valuable resources and the brand-new four-star catalyst “Dodoco Tales“.
Introduction of two new summer-themed outfits
Players have the option to dress up as Jean and Barbara with brand-new attire in the game. Jean’s outfit “Sea Breeze Dandelion” will be available for purchase in the Shop at a limited-time discount. Barbara’s outfit “Summertime Sparkle” can be claimed for free, by completing certain requirements in the Echoing Tales event.
Kazuha will be on a debut
The first playable character from Inazuma, Kaedehara Kazuha will make his debut in the Version 1.6 Update. The release of Kazuha had been hinted earlier, as the powerful five-star character can provide strong control and additional buffs to the team. Several skills such as the Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst can deal a strong amount of Anemo damage, which can be used to control the enemies. Additionally, a Swirl reaction can also help Kazuha to buff his teammates with an Elemental Damage Bonus. This complies with their specific corresponding Element.
Kazuha will also be featured in the new Archon Quest who will travel with Beidou and her Crux Fleet. On the way to the closed-off Inazuma, the samurai will reveal much more about the closed-off Inazuma. More concept art of the third major city of Inazuma has been revealed in the latest live stream.
New features and optimizations
- A new feature of the Serenitea Pot will allow players to invite characters they own to reside in their realm.
- Characters in the player’s realm will gradually accumulate Character Companionship Experience over time, whose rate of increase will be affected by Adeptal Energy Rank.
