Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1, one of the biggest Indian Esports events with a massive prize pool of over 1.5 crore INR has just ended. Team SouL has been crowned as the champions of BMPS Season 1, which was the second official tournament after the comeback of the game Battlegrounds Mobile India.
More than 1000 teams have played the in-game qualifiers of the Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge. From those multi-stage qualifiers, a total of 16 teams have qualified for the Grand Finals of BMPS 2022 Season 1. After playing 24 intense matches, Team SouL came out on top.
How Team SouL fared at the Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series 2022 Season 1 Finals
Both the BMPS and BMOC were open-to-all tournaments. Teams have qualified by playing classic matches. The in-game qualifiers took place in April and May, where many teams from all over India participated in the hope of becoming the best BGMI team in India. A total of 16 teams qualified from the BMPS League Stage and participated in the finals. The finals took place on the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th of June, 2022. It was an online event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 24 matches were played on these four days.

Team SouL ended up being the champions of Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1 2022 by a gigantic gap of 85 points, as they finished with 335 overall points. Team Orange Rock Esports, who were the champions of the league stage, came 2nd with 250 points, beating the 3rd-placed team Enigma Gaming by 22 points. There was a tiny gap of 1 point between the 3rd and 4th placed teams.
Big teams like 7Sea Esports and Hyderabad Hydras failed to perform according to their standards, as they were ranked at 10 and 13 respectively. Rising teams like Team FS and Global Esports played well and finished in the upper half of the points table.

Finishing as the champions of the Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1 2022 finals, the prize pool for the individual and smaller team awards was dominated by team SouL.
Top fragger
Goblin from Team Soul topped the individual finisher leaderboard. He also set a record for most finishes in an official tournament. Goblin was followed by Eggy from Enigma Gaming and Akshat from Team Soul on the leaderboard.
Most Valuable Player (MVP)
It was again Goblin from Team Soul who bagged the title of the MVP in the Grand Finals of BMPS Season 1, winning an amount of INR 2,50,000.
Rampage Freak
It is Goblin again from Team Soul, who has dealt the most damage in the finals and received the ‘Rampage Freak’ title. He won 1,00,000 INR as prize money.
Lone Survivor
The awards section is dominated by Team Soul. As one can guess from the name, the player with the most survival time in the finals won the ‘Lone Survivor’ award, which in this case was given to AkshaT from Team Soul. He won 1,00,000 INR as the prize money.
Most team finishes
Needless to say, the squad with the maximum number of finishes in the finals was Team SouL. They bagged a total of 166 finishes in the 24 match-tournament finals. The prize money for this award was 2,00,000 INR.
Fan favorite team
As expected, Team Soul has won the fan-favourite team award. The award was given based on voting on the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India. They won 1,00,000 INR as the prize money.
Fan favorite player
Once again, it was SouL GobLiN who won another award, which is the ‘Fan-favorite player’ award. The award was given based on voting on the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India. He won 1,00,000 INR as the prize money.
