The regional finals of the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2022 in India have concluded where GodLike Esports has been crowned as the regional champions after defeating Team Vitality with a 4-3 score in the Grand Finals.
GodLike Esports had to fight hard to become the champions
The road to being champions was not too easy for GodLike Esports. GodLike Esports and Team Vitality started their day with a victory on the final day. GodLike Esports won against Revenant Esports with a dominant score of 3-0. At the same time, Team Vitality beat Enigma Gaming with a score of 3-2.
Going into the advancement finals, Team Vitality beat GodLike Esports with a score of 3-1 to secure their spot in the Grand Finals. Team Vitality also qualified for the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship Final with this win. Going into the Elimination bracket, GodLike Esports faced Enigma Gaming. They won the match with a 3-0 score and qualified for the Grand Finals.
The Grand Finals was one of the most exciting matches of this whole tournament. It was held in a Best of 7 (Bo7) format. Team Vitality started the series with a map advantage. The next game mode was Hardpoint, played on Standoff. Team Vitality won the Hardpoint mode and took a 2-0 lead in the series. GodLike Esports won the next Search and Destroy game on Raid, making the score 2-1. Team Vitality again won the next Control mode on Hacienda, putting GodLike Esports in a pressurizing situation.
GodLike Esports fans were hoping for a comeback. The regional champions made the perfect comeback by winning the following three game modes in a row and the Grand Finals.
Both GodLike Esports and Team Vitality confirmed their spot in the Final stage of the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2022. The World Championship Final is set to begin on 9th December this year in an offline location. GodLike Esports and Team Vitality will go against other teams from North America, Garena, Europe, LATAM, Japan, and China.
GodLike Esports has been unbeaten regional champions for three years in a row
People are starting to believe that no one in this region can stop this CODM roster from becoming the regional champions in India. The current GodLike Esports roster has been crowned as the regional champions for the third time.
Previously they became the regional champions for India in Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 and 2021. The 2020 event was canceled due to COVID-19, while Activision split the 2021 edition into two regions- East and West. Blacklist International took the title of Eastern Champions. On the other hand, Tribe Gaming was crowned as the western champions.
