MPL-PH Season 8, one of the largest Mobile Legends tournaments have been conducted in the Phillippines, which was postponed earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has finally reached a conclusion today as Blacklist International took home the title, becoming the champion for the second season running after defeating ONIC PH in the final. Mobile Legends MPL-PH Season 8 Finals: How it went
In the five games played between Blacklist International and ONIC PH, Blacklist secured four wins while ONIC was able to secure only a lone consolation victory. The first game went the way of Blacklist, led by the remarkable Hadji who secured a dominated win and gave their opponents no room to breathe.
ONIC PH fought back in the second game, however, with Markayy playing a crucial role in leading his team to victory and leveling up the scores at 1-1. The second game swung back in favour of Blacklist as they secured their second victory despite stiff resistance from ONIC PH. The third game also went in favour of the defending champions and, despite the two teams being evenly matched in terms of kills, Blacklist International held their nerve to secure another MPL PH championship.
The upcoming MPL Invitational 2021
ONIC PH will go home disappointed but will also be looking to quickly set their sights on the MPL Invitational 2021 which starts on November 2. The tournament is set to feature some of the best teams from Southeast Asia competing for a whopping grand prize of $100,000. Blacklist International, who will also be competing at the MPL Invitational 2021, will be looking to take the momentum from this victory into the tournament.
The 8th season of MPL PH was a grand success and featured some highly entertaining matches, boding well for the future of the competition.
