The Liga Latam 2023, MLBB’s regional championship for Latin America, has come to an end, and RRQ Akira has been crowned as the champion. This is the team’s second consecutive title in this event. RRQ Akira has booked a direct slot in the upcoming grand event of MLBB esports, the M5 World Championship.
Not only the team will join the M5 from the just concluded event but the runner-up Bigetron Sons will also share the same. Moreover, the third-placed team Imperio will play in the wildcard stage. Besides winning the crown and a place in the M5, the champion team pocketed $25,000 as the winning amount.
Ahead of the year finale esports event of Mobile Legends Bang Bang, the regional championships are on full run and concluding their journey as well. Liga Latam 2023 is MLBB’s regional championship event for the Latin America region. Unlike the previous installment, this year’s event is to determine two directly qualified teams and a wildcard team. The event started on the 27th of September 2023.
Mobile Legends Liga Latam 2023: The Champion team’s run on the event
Liga Latam 2023 champion RRQ Akira dominated the playoff stage. Three consecutive wins before the grand final have placed the team in the final against Bigetron Sons. However, the runner-up team wasn’t that lucky and had to go through a difficult journey.
But before the runner-up went to the finals, the team defeated Imperio in the lower bracket final. Imperio could not hold back any of the finalists. In the grand finals, RRQ Akira played like the champions. Bringing back their performance from the previous edition, the team scored a sweep 4-0 to win the trophy.
RRQ Akira takes the majority of the Prize Pool home
The event featured a total of $60,000 as the prize money. Winning the event has allocated the champion team the largest share of it. The MVP award went to Tekashi from the champion team and the player was awarded $500. However, the share of the prize money after the end of the event is as follows.
