PUBG Mobile announced its esports roadmap a few days ago and everyone was surprised to watch the latest event in Brazil to take place in early 2024. Now, PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2024 is here with a whopping prize pool and big fish around the world.
From the 4th of March 2024, the esports arena of PUBG Mobile is going to witness the battle of the best. The month-long event will crown the first global champion of this year.
PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2024: Schedule and Format
PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2024 will have three stages in total. The first stage which is the open qualifiers will begin on the 4th of March. After a month, the event will conclude on the 7th of April 2024. The schedule for the event is as follows.

The event will first take online and offline qualifiers and then teams will elevate to the preliminary stage. After the online qualifiers, the offline event will seed the top-ranked team to the main stage of PMGO 2024. The other qualifier teams will then again fight in the PMGO Prelims.
The top 8 teams from this stage will qualify for the main stage. Thus, a total of 9 teams will get slots to the main stage. The rest 7 teams will be from other regional events around the world. The main attraction of the event is the Grand Finals stage which will begin on the 5th of April. In the three-day-long grand finals, there will be 18 matches in total, 6 matches a day. The regular format will be followed in the event.

The open qualifiers that will take place online will take an undisclosed amount of teams. Then, after fighting through the offline qualifier and the PMGO Prelim, there will be 16 total teams for the Main Stage. Among the teams, three of them are already invited. Let’s take a look at the teams:

PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2024: Prize Pool
The event is going to be the newest addition to the esports roadmap of PUBG Mobile in 2024. However, before the mid-season event arrives, the PMGO 2024 will be the first global event from the title. The event will feature a whopping $500,000 as the prize pool of the event. The event will follow three stages and the prize is also allocated in that way.
- Total Prize Pool: $500,000
- Open Qualifiers Offline: $64,000
- PMGO Prelims: $80,000
- Main Event: $356,000
However, we do not know the exact share that each team will receive after the main stage ends. With the first global event coming to hit the arena, fans around the world will be eagerly waiting to watch global powers again collide into action.
