Clash Royale’s March 2023 update might have been ridden with controversies and backlash following the unsatisfactory changes introduced, but the Season Shop might be the best apple from the basket. We got a new reward or currency system in the game with this new inclusion, and most of the players will aim to unlock and receive plenty of advantages from the shop that will help in upgrading faster in the game. The redeeming can be done with the help of Season Tokens, a system solely aiming to serve as a gateway to purchase Season Shop items in Clash Royale.

The new update is simple to understand, but some of us are still eager to learn more about the tokens, their worth, how to utilize the rewards system to a better use, and how to acquire Season Tokens. So, I’ll quickly describe the new incentive structure in this article as well as the ways to obtain more Season Tokens in Clash Royale.

An Overview of Season Shop and Season Tokens in Clash Royale

Season Shop

Announced first in their 2023 Roadmap, Season Shop is a new rewarding many introduced in the latest update that helps us players receive several rewards and bonuses for an ongoing season. You receive Season Tokens for participating in each Event, which you can use in the Season Store.

Season Shop in Clash Royale

The Season Store is refreshed with a new selection of items each season, so you can expect a variety of rewards every season. This is most likely following the season theme. Due to distribution, individual packs will include different cards, gold, etc.

Season Tokens

The new currency system which is introduced for making purchases in the Season Shop is Season Tokens. These can only be spent in the Season Shop, and there are no other menus that are present that use Season Tokens as a medium of exchange.

purchase using Season Tokens
Image via Supercell

Also to remember is that accumulation of the Season Tokens yields no reward, as they go season by season. At the end of each season, all Season Tokens will automatically be converted into gold. Hence, by the end of an ongoing season, they will expire and reset to zero, so I advise you to empty them and redeem the rewards before the expiry date, which will be indicated in the season shop menu itself.

You can use your season tokens to purchase the following:

  • Gold
  • Cards (Including Champions)
  • Wild Cards
  • Emotes
  • Banner Tokens
  • Battle Banners
  • Book of Cards

How to get Season Tokens in Clash Royale

Playing Events and upgrading the Pass Royale are two ways that players can collect Season Tokens.

Season Tokens via Events

By participating in Events, players can earn up to 1000 Season Tokens each day. Nevertheless, you can extend it by an additional 1,000 Season Tokens by spending 50 Gems. This comes along with a boost to the Season Tokens gained by events, which will last till the end of the day. It can be extended an unlimited number of times.

Every time you boost it on that day, the gem’s price goes up by 50. You can obtain additional tokens if you save gems and use them to obtain rewards. The rewards will be doubled by x1.5 if the win multiplier is enabled in the events, which means you will receive an additional 50% of your earned awards.

Season Tokens rewards for Classic 1v1
Image via Supercell

While you can continue to participate in events after the daily cap has been met, you won’t be able to continue earning tokens after that point. The Daily Limit can be raised to a maximum of 7000 Tokens every day using a Season Boost.

Players will receive tokens according to their Elixir investments for each Crown Tower that is demolished and successfully defended. For example, the Classic 1v1 grants 50 Season Tokens for every tower defended, and for every tower destroyed, you get 100 tokens. The elixir expenditure gives one each, so that will amass plenty of tokens.

Season Tokens via Pass Royale

Another way is to purchase the Pass Royale for more tokens. The Free Pass does grant you tokens as you unlock more tiers, but Gold and Diamond tiers will have plenty of Season Tokens on offer. Hence, I suggest you take advantage of it if you don’t mind spending some extra bucks.

Clash Royale is one of the best strategy games available on mobile and with over eight years in the running of giving players a fun experience. The game brought us some amazing new features such as Tower Troops and Card Evolutions over the years, and with them came some freebies too. With the game having numerous in-game activities taking place, I have this guide that will focus specifically on Clash Royale rewards you can get, providing a list of free rewards along with instructions on how to claim them.

Here are the free rewards with their links you can claim via different events which are active for now.

Free Redeem LinksRewards

Make sure to open these links from the mobile device where Clash Royale is installed. Upon clicking, the links will redirect you to the game’s home screen, where you might need to follow a couple of steps to redeem them. Make sure to use your gaming device for these links to work correctly. I will keep the list updated periodically with new rewards and expired ones will be removed.

How to claim Clash Royale free rewards

1. In-game events

The easiest way to get rewards in Clash Royale is by joining events. Just head to the dedicated section, take part in the event, be it draft events, challenges, or tournaments, and get rewards by playing. We can earn Gems, Coins, and more such rewards here. With new features being introduced, there is no doubt on the chances of getting plenty of exclusives to your account progress.

2. Special events

Clash Royale Free Evolution Perfect Match cover

Apart from these regular events, Supercell is active in collaboration events where we shall be getting new rewards apart from in-game events. Collaborations such as Clash Royale x Samsung event, Clash Fest 2023, or the recently concluded Perfect Match event are important so you can get the rewards by checking these events. More premium events say Evolution Shards, Emotes, and so on can be earned.

How often do we get free rewards in Clash Royale

In Clash Royale, we can see that free rewards are a regular occurrence, but these might not always follow a pattern. However, you can frequently earn them by participating in in-game challenges and events. Additionally, during special occasions, you may encounter shared vouchers, links, and drops as a way to snag some free goodies in Clash Royale.

Well, if there is a case where there is a special event running, I will be there to update this article with the latest info, so keep an eye on the updates in this space, so that you don’t miss any rewards from being claimed!

Clash Royale, the popular strategy game developed by Supercell has been always in the news thanks to its interesting gameplay and timely updates. Updates often bring some interesting new features to that game, that will be helpful for the player base to improve their game better, which is why the interest value remains high. As keen Clash Royale players, we are frequently anticipating the arrival of the next update. In this article, we’ll look at the elements that drive update schedules, upcoming features, and on what date the next Clash Royale update might arrive.

Upcoming Clash Royale update release date

The current month of May 2024 received the Season 59 update, which will last over a month. I have noticed that this time, there were no balance changes on offer, but alongside the usual new skins for towers, new emotes, banner box items, the Season Shop rewards, and the Card Evolutions update also arrived with one new rare card Wizard and a new spell named Void.

Clash Royale Season 59 cover
Image via Supercell

Clash Royale follows a distinct pattern when it comes to updates. Hence, according to my calculations, we can expect that the next update is likely to be arriving in the first week of June 2024, with Season 60. This will once again be the Season update.

What to expect from the next Clash Royale update

From what I have noticed, Clash Royale will not have a fixed update pattern in general, but they do have some common updates that will arrive. The season updates will always have plenty on offer, including the usuals. Balance changes did not arrive last season, so this June update we might get to see it.

Two new skin towers will be coming live with every season update, one for the Shop and the other for the Pass. Emotes and Banners, along with the Season Shop updates. However, for 2024, Clash Royale announced some exciting plans with its Roadmap. A major update named the Tower Troop will be arriving, offering a new twist to the game’s strategic dynamics. Additionally, more Card Evolutions will be in the works.

The roadmap also promised the arrival of new cards and champions, introducing fresh tactics and playstyles to the arena. These additions aimed to keep the game dynamic and engaging for us players. Overall, Clash Royale enthusiasts had a lot to look forward to in the coming year, hence don’t be surprised if we see it in the next update itself.

Final Thoughts

While pinpointing the precise release date of the next Clash Royale update without real-time information is difficult for anyone including me, I say we can generally understand when the updates are going to come by looking at the end dates of challenges or events. Understanding the news that drives updated schedules and staying informed through the official Clash Royale site, social media, and community forums will keep you up to date.

A brand new season of Clash Royale excitement is here, and as expected we are going to get some interesting additions. Many things to discuss as we have a new Spell arriving with Void with the Card Evolution of Wizard. So, let me provide you with a glimpse of what Clash Royale Season 59 May 2024 Update has in store regarding new skins, emotes, rewards, and other additions.

Clash Royale Season 59 May 2024 Update Overview

New Spell Card: Void

Empty is the key word here as the Void Spell has arrived in Clash Royale as a Rare card that creates a dark magic field, damaging enemy troops and buildings inside it. The damage it deals depends on how many targets are in its area: more targets mean less damage. However, it deals reduced damage to Crown Towers.

CR Season 59 Void Spell
Image via Supercell

When you use the Void Spell, a dark circle appears in the arena. Over 5 seconds, three waves of beams strike any troops inside the area. The damage each troop receives depends on how many are targeted, one troop gets the most damage, while five or more troops get the least. The beams strike every 1.5 seconds, with the last wave hitting at 4.9 seconds.

New Card Evolution: Wizard

The latest to get a Card Evolution is Wizard, and to be honest, this was most needed. With a new evolution, there is a fiery shield that the magician gets, called the Fire Shield which is his new ability. Here’s how it works: The shield has its health. When it’s broken, it explodes, blasting nearby troops of your opponent.

Clash Royale Season 59 Wizard Evolution
Image via Supercell

So the use case becomes pretty interesting as it can be useful against groups of enemies. The base stats of the Wizard don’t change with his evolution. The cycle is just one, so every other dropping of the Wizard will activate his evolution.

New Tower Skins

Talking cosmetics, in this update, one new Tower Skin has been officially confirmed that can be acquired through the Pass Royale. The Cluckingham Tower tower skin is unlocked at Tier 48 of the Gold Tier in Pass Royale. I’ve been quite surprised by the lack of tower skins recently. We might get a Tower Skin in a special event so we shall wait for the same.

Emotes and Banners

Once again, following the pattern of previous updates, six new emotes will be coming. All the new emotes will be based on mixed themes, including the Wizard Evolution. We will only have 2 Banners for Diamond Pass Royale owners, 8 in the Banner Box, 2 free from Community Challenges, and not any in the Season Shop.

Season Shop, Card Boosts, and Offers

The Season Shop has a decent amount of rewards on offer, which can be obtained by exchanging season tokens. Along with the cards on offer, I see banners and emotes being worthwhile investments. However, we will have eight cards in Arrows, Giant Snowball, Wizard, Earthquake, Rage, Poison, Electro Wizard, and Ice Wizard available in the Season Shop for 500 tokens apiece.

Clash Royale Evolution Shards guide

Card Evolution enthusiasts can find Valkyrie Shards in the Season Shop. We have four cards picked for boost this time, featuring the Wizard family with Poison, Wizard, Electro Wizard, and Ice Wizard with an Epic Book of Cards for 1000 tokens and Wild Shards for 6000 tokens.

Balance Update

No Balance Update has been out yet, but I feel this time we will be getting a few changes so keep an eye on this space.

That’s all for the season, folks! Get some Clash Royale info from the articles-

Clash Royale on June 19th introduced the Card Evolution update which seems to have been a great addition in the future. Card Evolution is an innovative system that revolutionizes traditional card battles by introducing a dynamic evolution mechanic. In this system, cards have the ability to evolve and unlock exciting new abilities as the battles progress. As the team releases new cards, players would love to know more about the abilities of each and the strategies they can adapt. For the same reason, we have come up with this guide to list all the Clash Royale Card Evolution cards in the game and know more about each.

List of all Clash Royale Evolution Cards

1. Barbarian

Barbarian evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 5
  • No of Cycles: 1

Introduction

Among the first cards in the game to be announced for card evolution, the Barbarian has one of the best abilities in the game. The Barbarian’s hit speed and movement speed are enhanced with each successful hit, and this effect can be accumulated indefinitely.

Strategies

The Evolved Barbarians are pretty devastating when it comes to dealing damage, and have be a great solution to counter cards with high Hitpoints. Again, the counter for these lies with the Air troops like Minion Hoarde and Bats, while also being vulnerable to area damage spells. Hence using the evolution should be done precisely well to make sure you get the maximum benefit of it.

2. Firecracker

Firecracker evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 3
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

The evolution card for Firecracker introduces a significant upgrade to its weaponry, enabling it to launch explosive sparks with enhanced power and capabilities. These sparks possess the ability to cause area damage, impacting a wider radius and affecting multiple targets simultaneously.

Strategies

The use condition is similar to that of your normal firecracker, but since she’s a lot better in the Evolution aspect, playing her after the spells or hard counters for her are deployed already would be the right move. Since the Big Spark Duration is 2.5 seconds, you can wait for a push to deal a greater damage to the surrounding troops. She would work well with mini tanks like Knight, Mini PEKKA, Elixir Golem, etc.

3. Skeletons

Skeletons evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 1
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

With the evolution card equipped, the Skeleton unit gains a remarkable ability that greatly enhances its effectiveness in battle. Each time the Skeleton unit successfully lands a hit on an enemy target, it will summon another Skeleton to join its ranks. First launched with six, a balance update has brought up the maximum skeleton count is capped at eight before once again changing it.

Strategies

Depends on the scenarios, apart from your usual counters to the PEKKA. But given the spawning, you will end up with a positive elixir trade. Very susceptible to Poison, Log, and Earthquake spell, so you need to be careful during their deployment. You can make the best use of this Evolution with the cheap cycle decks.

4. Royal Giant

royal giant evolution, Clash Royale Card Evolution List
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 6
  • No of Cycles: 1

Introduction

Undoubtedly the best evolution concept by a small margin, Royal Giant gets a great upgrade that unleashes its powerful attack with much better cannon damage. Alongside, it now inflicts recoil damage upon itself. This recoil effect causes a forceful impact that not only pushes back nearby enemies but also deals damage to them within a small radius.

Strategies

Number of balance updates for this guy but he has been great overall. Since you have a single evolution cycle, you can get him back a lot of times during the battle. His chip damage might work against smaller troops with low hitpoints but you need to be vary on air threats. Apart from spells like Tornado, Freeze, you can have reset cards like Electro Spirit, Zap, Electro Wizard to work well.

5. Mortar

Mortar evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 4
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

Announced in Season 49, the evolved Mortar introduces an exciting new feature to its arsenal. In addition to its regular projectile, it now launches a goblin alongside it. It also got some significant improvements to its hit points (HP), making it more resilient and capable of withstanding enemy attacks for a longer duration.

Strategies

With more hitpoints and faster shoot speed, the Mortar is a very valuable card if used correctly. As a single defensive unit, it is good enough to damage and distract the heavy units from the opposite end, as if you are playing it on the bridge I suggest you to make sure you get a card infront to distract units as much as possible.

6. Knight

Knight Card Evolution Clash Royale, Clash Royale Card Evolution List
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 3
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

Season 50 saw the arrival of the Knight to the Clash Royale Card Evolution List, whose ability bolstered an already capable Knight even more. As the Evolution Knight moves, they acquire a distinct Shield that enhances their performance in close-quarters combat. This Shield makes it so that they only take 20% of the damage they would normally take, making them much tougher in battles.

Strategies

Knight is basically that go-to guy if you are playing him in your deck, and particularly don’t see and play strategies with him. However, I say he’s more defensive now, so you can have a hard-hitting low HP card like a Musk or Firecracker behind to let him absorb the damage while trying to counter the higher cards to get a positive elixir trade.

7. Royal Recruits

Royal Recruits Card Evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 7
  • No of Cycles: 1

Introduction

In Season 51, the Royal Recruits Card Evolution was introduced. It maintains its original cost of 7 Elixir and deployment of 1 cycle. The notable addition is the new special ability, which allows the evolved Royal Recruit to initiate a charge toward the nearest target when its shield is depleted. This charge has a range of 1.5 tiles.

Strategies

Royal Recruits’ Evolution is a great defensive card, helping you defend both lanes effectively. Neglecting them can lead to significant damage to both Princess Towers. They excel at defense and can create a threatening counter-push when their shield is removed. To counter them, use area damage cards like Executioner with a tank or a combination of Bomb Tower and Valkyrie, and stun them when needed to make sure they won’t trouble you when the ability is active.

8. Bats

Bats Card Evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 2
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

In Season 52, the Card Evolution feature extended to include the Bats. These evolved Bats now possess a unique healing ability, which activates every two cycles. This newfound ability enables the Evolved Bats to recover their health every time they attack having two healing pulses with a 0.5-second interval. As a result of this evolution, they can achieve a remarkable 50% increase in their total Hit Points.

Strategies

To be fair, I believe Bats are pretty decent, with their ability helping them to be that way but according to me they are not close to being the best evolution. Despite higher hitpoints, they can be countered by small spells like Zap or Giant Snowball. They can be great for counters including air-targeting ranged units and spawn damage troops that hit air targets. While pushing, make sure you always have a tank in front.

9. Archers

Archers Card Evolution

  • Elixir Cost: 3
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

In Season 53, Archers underwent an evolution, resulting in the spawn of 2 Archers with 25% higher hitpoints and a 1.5-tile extended range, while maintaining the cost of 3 Elixir and requiring 2 cycles to deploy. Their new ability, Power Shot, enables them to shoot arrows over greater distances, inflicting increased damage and enhancing their battlefield effectiveness.

Strategies

The Archers come in very handy when they are made to utilize their ability effectively. To maximize the effectiveness of Power Shot, position Archers’ Evolution about 6-7 tiles from the opponent’s troops, ensuring a longer time within its range. Higher hitpoints allow them to survive Arrows now, and pushing them with a mini-tank helps you eliminate a lot of troops with an elixir advantage.

10. Ice Spirit

ice spirit evolution card
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 1
  • No of Cycles: 3

Introduction

In Season 54, the 10th and final evolution card, the Ice Spirit arrived. Coming with the Ice Blast ability, it retains standard stats but freezes the target upon impact with a distinct label. Over the next few seconds, the target undergoes two additional freezes, affecting nearby troops and structures. Freeze blasts occur every 3 seconds, lasting 1.2 seconds, mimicking the regular Ice Spirit freeze. Activation takes 3 Cycles, resulting in an evolved Ice Spirit in 1 in every 4 deploys.

Strategies

Well, this is a great stop-gap to push cards, which allows you to get ahead of your opponent’s moves if you are using a fast-cycle deck. They come in handy against cards that lock on to their targets, something like Infernos if I were to give an example. Still, this can be easily countered with the same elixir troops like Skeletons that don’t carry this freeze effect.

11. Valkyrie

Valkyrie Card Evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 4
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

In Season 55, the first Evolution Card for the year 2024, Valkyrie joined the list as the 11th Clash Royale Card Evolution. This is the first Rare card evolution and is accessible with 6 Evolution Shards. Valkyrie’s evolved version introduces a unique ability called Spin Wind, which activates when she swings her axe at a ground target. This creates a small tornado that draws opponent troops towards her while dealing additional damage. This tornado effect affects both ground and air troops, making Valkyrie’s evolved form versatile.

Strategies

The Evolved Valkyrie boasts high health, damage output, and a significant pull effect upon attacking, where these positives can make her a mini tank in my opinion. She proves highly effective against slow, building-targeting troops like Giant and Golem, consistently pulling them with her Tornado effect, hindering their progress toward Crown Towers.

12. Bomber

bomber evolution card clash royale
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 2
  • No of Cycles: 1

Introduction

In Season 56, Bomber arrives as the 12th Evolution Card. Its evolution ability is Bouncy Bomb. After the initial throw, the bomb bounces twice in a straight line, 3 tiles apart, dealing the same damage as the initial hit. It can hit troops in a wide area similar to the initial hit. Just like other evolutions, it is unlocked with 6 Evolution Shards.

Strategies

I suggest Bomber isn’t a strong card to use as an evolution, especially when you have strong cases of Knight, Firecracker, and others. It still can be countered effectively with Arrows, so you will have to read the opponent’s deck first. Its ability helps in dealing with the multiple defenses placed, with the bombs also having the ability to hit the siege building and then bounce onto the Crown Tower.

13. Wall Breakers

wall breakers evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 2
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

The Wall Breakers joins the list as the first Epic card to undergo card evolution in Clash Royale. Coming alongside the Bomber, the evolution summons 2 Wall Breakers with 50% higher damage than the originals. Barrel Walkers is its ability. When defeated initially, they explode, causing moderate damage. Afterward, they move swiftly into the arena and deal heavy damage upon reaching the nearest building.

Strategies

This card somewhat is of a great trade deal for elixirs. From what I have noticed, the evolved Wall Breakers can punish opponents who lack proper counters, resulting in positive Elixir trades and significant damage to the opponent’s towers. I recommend you practice the cycling-evolved Wall Breakers aggressively to capitalize on their overwhelming strength and force opponents into unfavorable trades to take the best advantage of them.

14. Tesla

Tesla-evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 4
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

Tesla arrived in Season 57 along with Zap, and both are 2 cycle cards. The Evo Tesla gains more HP thanks to evolution, and a new ability called Electro Pulse. When it pops up, it sends out a shockwave that damages and briefly stuns nearby troops, whether they’re in the air or on the ground. This effect activates every two cycles, providing extra protection against enemy troops.

Strategies

With increased HP and a stunning effect upon deployment, it excels in countering fast-paced decks and providing added versatility to various archetypes. I see its use to disrupt enemy pushes by placing it to stun and delay their troops. This can buy you time to counter their push or force them to commit more elixir to deal with the Tesla.

15. Zap

Zap-evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 2
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

With no change in stats, Zap becomes the 15th Card Evolution in the game. Being the first spell in the game to do so, it receives a new ability called Triple Shock, where the spell zaps targets within its range three times instead of once. Similar to the Evo Tesla, the Evolved Zap needs two cycles to activate its evolution, so every third time you deploy it, you’ll trigger the evolved version.

Strategies

Zap strategies aren’t too much to think I would say, since this spell can be used in most of the decks since the synergy is that good. This now is a great counter for cards such as Goblin Gang or Minions where previously it wasn’t easy to get rid of them. This also is a huge elixir advantage, and with two cycles in a quick-cycle deck, it will work well.

16. Battle Ram

Battle Ram Card Evolution
Image via Supercell
  • Elixir Cost: 4
  • No of Cycles: 2

Introduction

Season 58 introduced the Card Evolution for Battle Ram, making it the second rare card to be getting the process. When it evolves, it gains significant boosts with increased hit points (HP) by 25%, a faster attack speed with each hit, and a new ability called Super Charge. It gains strong pushback against attackers, deals area damage, and can repeatedly charge and bounce against buildings and towers until its HP runs out.

Strategies

Evolved Battle Ram is strong on offense but vulnerable to air units. Cards like Minions counter it well, reducing damage to your towers. Use stun or pushback cards to disrupt its charge, like Zap or Ice Spirit. Bowler is a solid counter due to its high health and pushback ability. For positive elixir trades, consider using Evolved Ice Spirit and Skeletons or Giant Snowball and Evolved Skeletons to counter it.

Tower Troops have now arrived with the December 2023 update of Clash Royale. The Clash Royale 2024 roadmap had previously discussed this new card type coming to the game, but we already have one card available now with the Tower Princess. So, let us learn about this new gameplay change, and the possibilities to explore with this Clash Royale Tower Troops Guide.

Clash Royale Tower Troops Guide: Overview

Introduction

Tower Troops are like a fresh addition to Clash Royale. You’ll find them in the Cards tab, right where your Card Collection hangs out. These troops are special because they’re all about defense, stationed on top of your Crown Towers.

The interesting part? Your opponent won’t have a clue about these Tower Troops until the Battle officially begins. Along with this change, the Princess Towers are now renamed Crown Towers.

Abilities

Every Tower Troop brings its distinct ability, adding a unique flavor to your Clash Royale strategy. Just like your regular cards, Tower Troop comes with rarities and can be sorted according to it. Outside your regular battle, Tower Troops claim a dedicated card slot in your Battle Deck since they are a mandatory part of your Battle Deck. which can be swapped with other cards as soon as they are launched.

Collecting and Upgrading

Tower Troops can undergo upgrades using a combination of Cards and Gold. Tower Troop cards are specifically obtainable from Tower Troop Chests. While Wild Cards and Magic Books don’t apply to Tower Troop upgrades, Magic Coins can be utilized to offset the gold upgrade expenses.

Tower Troops follow a straightforward leveling rule as they can’t surpass the level of your King Tower. Unlike cards that can be over-leveled, if your King Tower is at Level 12, your Tower Troops can’t go beyond Level 12. Let me explain in simpler terms, no Level 13 Tower Troops if your King Tower is at Level 12.

List of Tower Troops in Clash Royale

Currently, we only have one Tower Troop in Clash Royale, but a new card will be arriving with the January 2024 update.

1. Tower Princess

  • Rarity: Common
  • Targets: Air and Ground

Arrived as the first Tower Troop in the game, Tower Princess has now detached herself from her favorite place and will serve as a card that can be replaced by other troops. She is a Common rarity card in the game and will come with a range of 7.5 tiles with a Hit Speed of 0.8 seconds.

2. The Cannoneer

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Targets: Air and Ground

Our latest Tower Troop is The Cannoneer, which also becomes the first among your ‘new’ set of cards launching in 2024 and also the second overall. This is an epic card that arrived with the January 2024 update or Season 55. Cannoneer launches Cannon balls straight at the enemy dealing high damage to them.

3. Dagger Dutchess

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Targets: Air and Ground

Introduced in the April 2024 update for Clash Royale’s Season 58, Dagger Dutchess was the second Tower Troop introduced in the year 2024 and the third overall. She’s a single-target tower troop boasting high hitpoints. Initially unleashing a flurry of dagger throws for significant damage, her attack slows as she depletes her supply and reloads.

Best Meta Cards for Clash Royale Season 58 in April 2024

The recently arrived Card Evolution update for Battle Ram and Season 57 evolutions Tesla and Zap have been effective. For the rest, it doesn’t affect the cards much in terms of their ranking, apart from the Knight who remains one of the best cards in Clash Royale even though he is nerfed in Season 52.

However, it is interesting to note that the Royal Giant card is easily the best of the lot still, and getting him placed higher would be an easy choice according to me. We also got a new Tower Troop in Dagger Dutchess which is one of the powerful tower troops available now, benching off both the first two releases. So these will be my go-to picks.

Clash Royale Season 56 card evolutions

Ice Spirit Evolution got a buff whereas, Archer Evolution and Goblin Giant both got significant Nerfs in the December 2023 update. Even though Pheonix remains one of the trusted cards by the players, the consistent balance updates, especially Nerf, might not make her a safe bet among the cards. Ice Spirit players might worry about the freeze time, but it remains among the strong set of cards, so players need not worry.

That’s all for this Season’s Clash Royale tier list! Do keep an eye on this page every season, as we’ll be looking at various changes throughout the season.

Clash Royale is getting interesting as seasons come by, and the following year has a lot in store for the players. As promised in the Clash Royale 2024 roadmap, the start of 2024 has featured some excitement thanks to the new Tower Troop cards that have arrived. Following, The Cannoneer, we saw the third Tower Troop arriving in the Dagger Dutchess with the April 2024 Season 58 Update. So let us discuss the Tower Troop Dagger Dutchess in Clash Royale.

Tower Troops arrived with the December 2023 update of Clash Royale, although the impression was that this new card type would be coming to the game after 2024, we received our first, and to understand better, an already existing Tower Princess as our first card, separating the Princess Tower as the Princess Card and renaming it as Crown Towers

Dagger Dutchess Tower Troop in Clash Royale

Overview

Dagger Duchess Card Clash Royale
Image via Supercell

The Dagger Duchess is a legendary card introduced in the April 2024 update for Clash Royale’s Season 58, and it can be unlocked from Electro Valley (Arena 11). With her introduction to the game, she marks herself as the first-ever Tower Troop of the Legendary Status.

Gameplay

She is a single-target tower troop, but instead of focusing solely on ground damage, she has taken on the role of attacking air units from a distance. She has extremely high hitpoints, however, with low damage output. Her attack starts with a flurry of dagger throws that inflict great damage, but as she exhausts her supply and reloads, the attack slows down.

Dagger Dutchess gameplay
Image via Supercell

Painting the statistics, the Dagger Duchess boasts a rapid hit speed of 0.35 seconds and fires every 7.5 seconds. It targets both air and ground units with her effective range. She comes in handy on the battlefield as a Legendary rarity tower troop. She attacks by throwing daggers, having at her disposal an inventory of 8 daggers. After these are spent, it takes around 1.2 seconds for each dagger to recharge for further use.

Strategies

Now, to make the most of the Dagger Duchess in Clash Royale by targeting the weakest troops in the game, say Skeletons, Spear Goblins, Evolved Bats for example because of her fast initial attack speed, she is a huge threat to these. She can handle small pushes effectively and it won’t be a problem unless there is a swarm of attacks barraging her, which I will explain next.

What I’ve noticed is that Dagger Duchess plays best in beatdown decks, especially because of her ability to protect herself from her opponent’s pushes at a minimum Elixir cost. Beatdown decks often struggle against cheaper, punishing cards like Miner and Hog Rider, but the Dagger Duchess effectively mitigates those threats, allowing players to commit to heavy pushes with cards like Lava Hound.

Dagger Dutchess strategy
Image via Supercell

Her presence provides a solid defense against medium pushes, but there are weaknesses you can exploit. To counter the Dagger Duchess of Clash Royale by playing high hitpoint units like Giant or P.E.K.K.A, as they can absorb her attacks without taking much damage. Also, in either situation, use such large swarms as Skeleton Army, capitalizing on her reduced DPS once her initial daggers are exhausted.

Cards such as Ice Golem or Goblin Giant come in handy to redirect enemy troops into her firing range. Carefully spend Elixir, especially when two Elixirs are engaged in Double Elixir and Overtime, and make use of defensive cards like Mega Knight to withstand enemy pressure and allow the Dagger Duchess to reload her daggers.

So if you are using her, it is important to manage her ammo effectively, as she becomes vulnerable once her daggers are depleted, leaving her unable to attack until replenished. With proper support to her, she can be a deadly win case with the majority of the decks.

So, that’s all for now about Dagger Dutchess Tower Troop in Clash Royale. What do you think about the new Tower Troop? Does it meet your expectations? Let me know! Till then, read other related Clash Royale articles
