S8UL Esports has become the champion after dominating the whole event. The team didn’t lose a single match and showed its supremacy over the Indian esports scene. In the upper bracket quarterfinals, the first match S8UL faced was against Team No Tilt in which the result stood a 2-0 scoreline.

Moving to the semifinals, Six Uppermoon was ready to throw a challenge at the champion but lost the game with the same scoreline of 2-0. Without looking back, the champion team carried their winning momentum to emerge as the champion for the second time in a row.

Moreover, the team pocketed $15,000 by becoming the champion. The runner-up won $7,500 while the third-placed team GodLike bagged another $6,000. As the qualification is over now, S8UL will be getting ready to fly to the island of Hawaii to represent India on the world stage.

Before commencing the grand finals, the Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2024, India Qualifier started taking registration on the 12th of April 2024. The grand final stage, however, took place on the 12th of May 2024.

Falinks is now the newest Pokémon to join the ever-increasing character fray of Pokémon Unite. It is a new Melee All-Rounder type Pokémon that depends on positioning and using its various troopers to take out opponents. Due to Falinks composition, it can utilize different formations and positions to outscore the enemies, regardless of the situation. This guide will let you know about Falinks in Pokémon Unite, its abilities, best items, and team compositions.

Previously, we have discussed how to master playing with other Pokémon like PikachuMamoswineEldegoss, Zeraora, BlisseyCharizardSnorlaxTsareenaDecidueyeDragoniteTalonflameCinderaceGreninjaGardevoirVenusaurWigglytuffTrevenantGengarLucario, Aegislash, Crustle, Hoopa, Garchomp Absol, Alolan Ninetales, Duraludon, Cramorant, Blastoise, Slowbro, Machamp, Mr. Mime, Greedent, Azumarill, Sylveon, Gyarados and Miraidon. Therefore, one must make sure to check those guides as well. For now, let’s focus on Falinks.

Falinks: In-game Cost

Falinks is an exclusive Unite license currently available for free in the Falinks Event Pass. Via the event, Players can obtain the Falinks UNITE License by purchasing the Premium Event Pass which costs 249 Aeos Gems. Players who participate in the Free Farlinks event pass will be able to obtain a 3-day Limited License for Falinks.

Basic Attack

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is basic_attack_eevee.jpg

Falinks’s basic attacks become boosted attacks with every third attack, or after Falinks uses Tackle, Megahorn, or Iron Head. Boosted attacks also apply a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon they hit. When a boosted attack hits, the cooldown of Tackle, Megahorn, or Iron Head is reduced.

Passive – Battle Armor

When Falinks takes critical-hit damage, a set percentage of the damage is reduced. Falinks is a group comprised of brass and five troopers, and they utilize three formations: Column formation, No Retreat formation, and Dispatch formation. When a move is used in No Retreat or Dispatch formation, the effect of the move changes. This Pokémon can hold a little more Aeos energy than other Pokémon.

Ability 1 – Tackle

Falinks charges in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and shoving them. Falinks’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack.

Ability Choices at Level 4

At Level 4 Falinks would have to choose either of the following abilities:

Megahorn Iron Head
Falinks charges with its horns, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and shoving them. Immediately afterward, Falinks charges with its horns again and gains a shield. When Falinks is in No Retreat formation, it charges power before charging forward with its horns, dealing additional damage to opposing Pokémon it hits based on their max HP. When Falinks is in Dispatch formation, the troopers who are away from the column will also charge with their horns, along with the brass. Falinks attacks the designated area with its steel-hard heads, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits, as well as granting itself a shield. When Falinks is in No Retreat formation, Iron Head’s range is shortened, but its area of attack is widened. Falinks’s next four basic attacks can be used while it’s moving. When Falinks is in Dispatch formation, dispatched troopers return to the column when Falinks attacks with this move. The returning troopers shove and deal damage to opposing Pokémon they hit on their way back to the column.
Megahorn can be upgraded to strengthen the effect of the shield granted by this move. Iron Head can be upgraded so that the troopers’ attacks also deal additional damage to opposing Pokémon based on the opposing Pokémon’s HP.

Ability 3 – Bulk Up

The skill increases Falinks’s Attack, Defense, and basic attack speed for a short time.

Ability Choices at Level 6

At Level 6, either of these two moves becomes available.

No RetreatBeat Up
Falinks switches to No Retreat formation while shoving opposing Pokémon in front of it. While in No Retreat formation, Falinks cannot change the direction it’s facing, and its movement speed when moving backward is decreased, but its Attack is increased and the damage it takes from the front is reduced. If this move is used while Falinks is in No Retreat formation, Falinks will switch to Column formation.Falinks charges in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits. Falinks switches to Dispatch formation, sending out two troopers toward the opposing Pokémon it hit. The dispatched troopers will continue to attack the opposing Pokémon for a while, but they will return to the brass after they take a set amount of damage or become separated from the brass by a set distance or greater. A maximum of two uses can be kept in reserve for this move.
No Retreat can be upgraded to further increase Falinks’s Attack and further reduce the damage it takes from the front.Beat Up can be upgraded to restore some of the user’s HP when this move hits.

Unite Move – Dust Devil Formation

The five troopers run continuously around the brass at great speed, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon they hit. While Dust Devil Formation is being used, damage taken by the troopers is reduced.

Best items for Falinks in Pokémon Unite

Further in this guide, we will discuss the best-held items for Falinks in Pokémon Unite, as well as its best battle item. To learn more about the best held items in Pokémon Unite, please refer to our articles.

Focus BandThis item increases Falinks attack speed and damage output making it a viable battle item for Falink
Weakness PolicyWeakness Policy item helps to further increase Falinks attack whenever he receives damage from enemies. Thus, making it a viable choice for an All-rounder Pokémon type.

Best Battle Items

  • Eject Button: It helps Falinks to quickly reposition especially during No Retreat formation.
  • X Attack: This item further complements and increases the overall damage attack and attack speed of Falinks, which can be quite useful especially during the Dispatch formation since the Troopers would also benefit from this.
  • X Speed: This item further complements and increases the overall movement speed of Falinks, making it highly mobile. This item also works well when using the No retreat ability as it removes the movement speed reduction from Falinks

Pokémon Unite Falinks Gameplay Tips

Our Pokémon Unite Falinks Guide will now discuss how to play and achieve a perfect game plan for the Pokémon, across the game. The following division has two sections of the early and late game, which players must make sure to read, till the end.

Early Game

Since Falinks doesn’t evolve, he is pretty much strong right from the start. In terms of laning, players could either go Top or Bottom Lane, or even the Jungle Lane.

Players should focus on farming to level up Falinks to unlock his abilities and essentially new powerful combos. It is best to first unlock the Tackle ability as it provides the damage needed for scaling through the early game phase. Whereas, using Bulk Up would help to increase Falinks stats making Tackle deal even more damage to enemy Pokémon.

Pokémon Unite Falinks Guide Early Game

Since the top lane is preferable for Miraidon, players should take on Rotom and also score as many goals as possible. Thanks to Falink’s unique passive, it’s easier to score accumulate, and score goals with Falinks. On attaining Level 4, a choice has to be made between either Megahorn or Ironhead.

Due to its unique charge and damage perk, Megahorn is highly advisable. Due to its early aggressiveness, players should use Falinks to mark and take down enemy Speedsters’ main or Attack role Pokémon to further delay their evolution and leveling.

Late Game

A couple of levels later at Level 7, a choice has to be made between either No Retreat or Beat Up. Beat Up is highly recommended as it allows Falinks to effectively take down multiple opposing Pokémon targets.

Pokémon Unite Falinks Guide Late Game
Image via The Pokémon Company

However, No Retreat can also be a useful pick especially when faced with multiple enemy Pokémon targets but it’s highly dependent on positioning and it is bad to use against speedsters or highly mobile enemy Pokémon. Do choose according to the game plan.

The Unite move can also be very useful when faced with multiple enemy targets as it deals burst AOE damage. It’s also useful during the Zapdos‘ fight to kill and steal, as it can help him maim and target enemy main damage dealers with the continuous damage from the circling troopers.

  • Megahorn + No Retreat: This combo formation allows Falinks to deal enormous damage to enemy targets positioned right in its front. It should be mainly utilized against opposing Pokemon with low mobility because of the structure of No Retreat. This combo poses a strong offensive against enemies.
  • Iron Head + No Retreat: This combo formation allows Falink to blink and deal damage to enemies whilst surprising them with a No Retreat formation to stop them in their tracks. This combo also poses a strong offensive against enemies.
  • Beat Up + Megahorn: Whilst in dispatch formation, you can utilize Megahorn to dash and engage enemies with your Brass whilst complementing the attack of your other two troopers.

Positioning of Falink

The best path for Falinks would be the top of Jungle Lane. Players should Focus on farming lane Aipoms and Audinos. The cluster of Combees and Vespiqueen should be prioritized and hunted down as much as possible to allow for increased exp and easy Leveling. Players should also utilize Falinks to assist allied speedsters or attack Pokémon to take down main objectives.

Falinks with other Pokémon

Our Pokémon Unite Falinks guide will also talk about the relationship between Falinks and other Pokémon.

Best synergies with Falinks

Falinks is a Pokémon who would need an adventure partner to be an attacker.

PokémonBenefits
BlisseyBlissey can assist by granting extra shields to itself and Falink thus further increasing Falinks durability
SnorlaxThe shielding moves on opponents would help Falinks have some kills. Snorlax being a defender would also help take in a lot of damage whilst assisting Falink.

In addition to getting 25 free Battle Pass Levels, players are also going to be rewarded with an exclusive Graceful Style: Umbreon when they purchase the Premium Pass Plus instead of the usual Premium Pass!

Is the Pokémon Unite Battle Pass Season 23 Premium Worth buying

A paid Battle Pass is worth it if one is a fan of either Mew or Umbreon because players are going to be getting their special, limited edition Holowears on purchasing the Battle Pass. In addition, they are also going to get additional rewards if they reach past level 100! However, two additional Rank Protection Cards might seem sumptuous to some.

However, the Premium Pass is not worth enough to buy, as per our judgment. Although players can get 25 free levels, those rewards are easy enough to get, if one plays Pokémon Unite regularly.

Pokémon Unite: How to get free gift codes and rewards

Who does not like freebies? We all would never miss out on anything that we would get for free in a game. Game Codes play a major role in getting us freebies, and the developers would drop a couple of events so that we get some freebies in return. The same goes for Pokémon Unite where the developers at Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group have been kind enough to give us massive rewards when we use the numerous coupon codes they provided.

The good news is that Pokémon Unite does have gift exchange codes that can get you all sorts of in-game resources such as hundreds of thousands of Printed Shirts, Licenses, Battle Point Boost Cards, Max-Grade Trial Cards, and other exclusive rewards.

If players want to learn about increasing Battle Points in the game to level up, please read our Battle Points guide to increase the trainer level. To get the in-game rewards, you will need to redeem the gift codes which is a very easy process. In this article, we will provide a list of the latest Pokémon Unite gift codes, explain how the codes work, how to redeem them, and the redeemable in-game rewards.

How often new Pokémon Unite Gift Codes are released

There’s no actual interval based on when these new Pokémon Unite redeem codes are released. However, whenever any important events such as Halloween and Anniversary events happen, or there’s something the developers want to celebrate, they release a new code for the players to enjoy.

Pokémon Unite Miraidon Movesets

Basic Attack

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is basic_attack_eevee.jpg

Deals damage to opposing Pokemon.

Passive – Hadron Engine

When the Pokémon with this Ability hits a Pokémon from the opposing team with a move, it creates an Electric Terrain. The Pokémon can consume a portion of its collected Aeos energy to expand the area of the Electric Terrain it creates. If the Pokémon with this Ability or its allies are within the Electric Terrain, their attacks deal additional damage and they cannot be put to sleep. Electric Terrain strengthens ally team goals and weakens opposing team goals. The Ability goes on cooldown after it’s triggered.

Ability 1 – Thunder Shock

Has the user send a jolt of electricity in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits

Ability Choices at Level 5

At Level 5 Miraidon would have to choose either of the following abilities:

Charge BeamElectro Drift
Has the user charge power before firing an electric beam in the designated direction If this move hits opposing Pokémon, the user’s Sp. Atk. is increased for a short time and the user stores electric power.

If the user stores electric power twice within a short time, it can use a boosted version of Charge Beam. The boosted version has the user continuously fire an electric beam in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect. A maximum of 2 uses can be kept in reserve for this move.
Has the user race forward in the designated direction while spinning, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in its path. The user also stores electric power. If the user stores electric power twice within a short time, it can use a boosted version of Electro Drift.

The boosted version has the user do a spinning attack aimed at the designated opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to any opposing Pokémon it hits. This move deals increased damage if the opposing Pokémon’s remaining HP is low. A maximum of 2 uses can be kept in reserve for this move.
Upgrade: Decreases the time it takes to store a use of this moveUpgrade: Decreases the time it takes to store a use of this move.

Ability 2 – Thunder Wave

Has the user discharged electricity at the designated opposing Pokémon, dealing damage and leaving them paralyzed.

Ability Choices at Level 6

At Level 7, either of these two moves becomes available.

ThunderParabolic Charge
Has the user summon a cloud in the skies above that drops wicked thunderbolts The summoned cloud moves slowly toward the nearest opposing Pokémon, dropping thunderbolts whenever a set amount of time passes.

The thunderbolts deal damage and apply a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon they hit.
Has the user flood the area around it with electricity, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokemon it hits.

If this move hits opposing Pokemon, the user recovers HP and also recovers 1 stored use of either Charge Beam or Electro Drift. The more opposing Pokémon the move hits, the more HP the user recovers.
Upgrade: Strengthens the slowing effect applied to opposing Pokémon when they are hit by lightning.Upgrade: Grants the user a shield when this move is used.

Unite Move – Bright Future Meteor Storm

Has the user called down 5 meteorites in a row, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon they hit. If a meteorite hits an opposing Pokemon, the next meteorite to fall will deal increased damage. The final meteorite deals higher damage in a wider area of effect and throws opponents.

If the user stays underwater for a set amount of time, it creates a whirlpool where it surfaces, applying a continuous slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. If the user stays underwater for an even longer amount of time, it creates a waterspout where it surfaces, throwing opposing Pokémon it hits.

Sp. Attack SpecsThis item increases MIraidon’s attack speed whenever he scores a goal.
Choice SpecsChoice Specs is a good choice as it increases Miraidon’s attack damage, the more his his attack speed is.

Besides the above-suggested builds, a Miraidon player may also use the following item builds:

  • Attack Weight, Slick Spoon, and Sp. Attack Specs
  • Curse Bangle, Curse Incense, and Charging Charm

Best Battle Items

  • Full Heal: It removes all Crowd-control effects and debuffs on Miraidon and also increases his critical hit rate and damage whilst the item is active.
  • X Speed: This item further complements and increases Miraidon’s overall movement speed, making him highly mobile

Pokémon Unite Miraidon Gameplay Tips

Our Pokémon Unite Miraidon Guide will now discuss how to play and achieve a perfect game plan for the Pokémon, across the game. The following division has two sections of the early and late game, which players must make sure to read, till the end.

Early Game

Since Miraidon doesn’t evolve, he is pretty much strong right from the start. In terms of laning, players could either go Top or Bottom Lane, or even the Jungle Lane.

Players should focus on farming to level up Miraidon to further unlock new powerful combos. It is best to prioritize and upgrade Thunder Wave as it serves as a crowd control and damage-type move. Whereas, Aqua Tail proves to be an indeed useful move against enemy Pokemon or in Boss fights as it deals continuous AOE damage to surrounding targets.

Since the top lane is preferable for Miraidon, players should take on Rotom and also score as many goals as possible. This would help them level up as fast as possible and target opponent attackers. Early in the game, players should use Miraidon to mark and take down enemy Speedsters’ main or Support role Pokémon to further delay their evolution and leveling.

Late Game

A couple of levels later at Level 7, a choice has to be made between either Thunder or Parabolic Charge. Thunder is highly recommended as it allows Miraidon to easily deal damage to enemy targets whilst efficiently slowing them down.

However, Parabolic Charge can be a useful pick especially when faced with multiple enemy Pokémon targets as it helps maximize HP recovery from each Pokémon. Do choose according to the game plan. The Unite move can also be very useful during the Zapdos‘ fight to kill and steal, as it can help him maim and target enemy main damage dealers with each summoned meteorite.

Positioning of Myraidon

The best path for Myraidon would be the top of Jungle Lane. Players should Focus on farming lane Aipoms and Audinos. The cluster of Combees and Vespiqueen should be hunted down as much as possible to allow for increased exp and easy Level up. The attacking capabilities of Miraidon shouldn’t be wasted targeting enemy main roam player units, except when assisting your allied speedster.

Miraidon with other Pokémon

Our Pokémon Unite Miraidon guide will also talk about the relationship between Miraidon and other Pokémon.

Best synergies with Miaraidon

Miraidon is a Pokémon who would need an adventure partner to be an attacker.

In addition to getting 25 free Battle Pass Levels, players are also going to be rewarded with an exclusive Dancer Style: Meowscarada when they purchase the Premium Pass Plus instead of the usual Premium Pass!

Is the Pokémon Unite Battle Pass Season 22 Premium Worth buying

A paid Battle Pass is worth it if one is a fan of either Zoroark or Meowscarada because players are going to be getting their special, limited edition Holowears on purchasing the Battle Pass.
