Riot Korea announced the region’s first Wild Rift professional tournament that is the 2021 Wild Rift Champions Korea (WCK). The tournament will be held offline and scheduled to start from 7 September to 19 September 2021. The 2021 WCK is the first Korean regional circuit competition to compete for a place in the Wild Rift International Competition. The champion team will qualify for the Wild Rift World Championship.
On its two-week journey, the tournament will feature 8 teams in total. A huge amount of prize pool is waiting to be divided among the teams. Total 80 million won (approximately $69,000) will be awarded. LoL Park, Seoul is selected as the venue. Riot Korea had also announced WariWari Rumble 2021 for the amateur teams earlier last month.
Wild Rift Champions Korea (WCK) 2021: Format
The regional championship of Korea will be held in two stages. The group stage will start from 7 September and will run till the 12th. Two groups with 4 teams each will fight in a Single Round Robin (Bo3) format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the finals.
The Playoffs will be held between September 16th – 19th. This will be a single-elimination round. Semifinals & 3rd place will be held in best-of-five (Bo5) format where the grand finals are set to held in Bo7.

Prize Pool
The tournament features a massive 80 million won as prize pool. The amount will be divided as follows.
- Winner: 30 million won ($25,516)
- Runner-up: KRW 20 million ($17,011)
- 3rd place: 12 million won ($10,207)
- 4th place: 8 million won ($6,804)
- Quarterfinals 5th-8th: 2.5 million won each ($2,126)
