Wild Rift’s Lolcito Salvaje Abierto 2021 Finals, the first official circuit in Latin America by Riot Games and also known as Wild Open, just ended. In the Wild Rift Lolcito Salvaje Abierto 2021 Grand Finals, eBRO Gaming emerged victorious by beating their rivals Leviatan Esports by 3-1. Besides winning the trophy, the champion team booked their slot in the upcoming Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021. This is an upcoming kick-off tournament before the Wild Rift World Championship. Also, being the champions, eBRO Gaming won a total of $20,000 prize money while the runner-up took $10,000.
Before the finals, eight teams gathered in Mexico City for the LAN event. Playing the sub-regional qualifiers (north and south), the teams made their way to the venue Artz Pedegral.
Lolcito Salvaje Abierto 2021 Finals: As it happened
eBRO Gaming, one of the two finalists, started from the bottom to make their way to the Grand Finals. Beating The Kings by 3-0, they stepped into the round of six.
It looked like they’re not going to make it to the semi as the first two round was taken by Furious Gaming. Midlaner Tikz saved the day and the team won the next three matches to make it a 3-2 win. They also beat Naguara Team by 3-1 and advanced to the finals.
Being the top team from the south, the other finalist Leviatan Esports directly qualified for the semi and faced Infinity Esports where they secured victory by 3-0.
Again in the final, eBRO lost the first round and it seemed Leviatan was going to take the trophy. Fighting against all the odds, they turned their performance back again and won the next three matches.
Final thoughts
The journey of eBRO Gaming clearly shows its strength. How the Argentine team rises from the bottom to become the supreme is a strong message for other teams in the upcoming global events. Now, the journey continues with preparation for the next stage. Fans can hope to see a similar performance there.
