Skill Analysis

Viego is a champion with common five skill sets of one passive and four active skills. In this Viego guide, we will be checking out his abilities in Wild Rift and how to maximize each skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.

Passive – Sovereign Domination

The Souls of enemy champions that die within 3 seconds of being damaged by Viego become Wraiths that remain in place for 8 seconds. Viego can channel for 1 second to possess them for 10 seconds. During possession:

  • Becomes Untargetable
  • Gains a free cast of Heartbreaker
  • Gains 10% bonus Movement speed when moving towards enemy champions.
  • Gains access to the Possessed champion’s Basic abilities, attacks, and items.
  • Heals for a % of the target’s max Health

Skill 1 – Blade of the Ruined King

  • Passive: Attacks deal bonus physical damage equal to 3% of the target’s current Health. After damaging an enemy with an ability. Viego’s first attack against them within 5 seconds strikes twice, dealing physical damage equal to 20% of AD and healing himself for 135% of the damage dealt. Passive bonuses are kept during Possession.
  • Active: Stabs forward, dealing physical damage. The ability’s cast time reduces with Attack speed.

Skill 2 – Spectral Maw

  • Charge: Gathers Black Mist and charges up for up to 3 seconds, slowing himself by 10% during this period.
  • Cast: Dashes forward and hurls the ball of gathered Black Mist, dealing Magic damage to the first enemy hit and stunning them for 0.25 – 1.25 seconds (Based on charge time)

Skill 3 – Harrowed Path

Viego sends forth a specter to haunt the first terrain hit with Black Mist for 8 seconds. While inside the Black Mist, Viego becomes Camouflaged and gains 20% Movement speed and 35% Attack speed. On killing an enemy target with this skill, the skill’s cooldown refreshes, and the mana cost is also refunded.

Skill 4 – Heartbreaker

Teleports to a target location, dealing physical damage to all champions in the area. Deals bonus damage equal to the % of the target’s missing health to the enemy champion with the lowest percentage of Health, slowing them by 99% for 0.25 seconds and knocking back nearby enemies.

Coupled with the powerful copy-like ability from Viego’s passive, Viego is highly capable of bursting down enemy Champion targets especially with his powerful Ultimate ability.

Best Build, Runes Setup, and Spells for Viego in Wild Rift

Players are recommended to use Viego in the Jungle lane as he is a very powerful Assassin-role champion. Players could also choose to use him in the Solo lane as he also performs well against lone targets. Thus, his Battle item setup remains similar in general. Nevertheless, you might want to change them regarding the enemy composition. Our Wild Rift Viego guide showcases the best pre-match build and runes setup needed to excel on the battlefield.

Best Rune Setup for Viego

Wild Rift Viego Guide Rune Setup

  • Conqueror: This keystone grants extra adaptive attack damage and sustains for Viego allowing him to easily deal damage whilst having extra sustain in fights.
  • Legend: Alacrity – This rune grants bonus attack speed on each takedown and elimination which Viego does.
  • Brutal: This rune grants extra adaptive damage on each of Viego’s basic attacks, thus buffing the effects from his passive.
  • Giant Slayer: This rune allows Viego to deal increased damage against enemy champions based on how high the enemies’ Bonus health is. In short, it helps to easily take down tanky champions.
  • Sudden Impact: This Rune grants Viego extra penetration when he blinks from his skills. Thus increasing his effectiveness on the rift.

Battle Spells

  • Smite: It is highly advisable to jungle with Viego, thus, equipping the Smite battle spell makes it even more easy to takedown jungle monsters. This spell should be only taken when laning in the Jungle. if else, spells, like Ignite or Flash are advisable.
  • Flash: For safety purposes, it is advised to pick up Flash. Viego could maximize this spell to increase its mobility on the battlefield. This would make it easier for Viego to catch up and take down enemy champions or flee from dangerous situations.

Best Build for Viego in League of Legends: Wild Rift

In this guide, we will break down the build for Viego in LoL Wild Rift.

  • Blade of the Ruined King: Viego’s titular weapon named after his first skill. This equipment allows Viego to deal Bonus damage the more he uses his Basic Attack or skills. This item also increases the Movement Speed of Kalista whilst decreasing the movement speed of enemies hit by Viego’s attacks
  • Divine Sunderer: This item has high synergy with Viego’s skills as it deals damage to enemy targets based on the target’s maximum HP
  • Gluttonous Greaves: Players can get these boots for extra movement speed and Omnivamp, thus, increasing Viego’s regen on using skills and abilities to attack enemy targets. Players can then Enchant it with Stasis Enchant which grants a unique passive that can help immune damage during risky scenarios.
  • Death’s Dance: This item is quite powerful as it allows Viego to deal extra true damage based on the damage he receives. This item also provides another very unique and powerful passive that allows Viego to regenerate Health whenever he takedown enemy Champions.
  • Sterak’s Gauge: This item is quite essential as it provides sustain and damage for Viego thanks to its unique passive that grants a shield on attaining less than 35% Health. Combined with its extra perks, it is quite essential to use on Viego.
  • Guardian Angel: This final equipment grants Viego a second chance to settle things on the rift. Combined with its damage perks and unique passive, it sure helps to further boost Viego’s on-rift durability in dire situations.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Viego Gameplay Tips

Viego is a powerful Assassin role champion who can easily deal enormous damage to enemy champions to take them down and turn them into his Wraiths. Due to his skill set and hero style, it is highly recommended to go to Jungle Lane with Viego.

Wild Rift’s map is mirrored, so it is necessary to understand the map side before laning. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift guide for Viego includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.

Early Game

Players can buy a long sword at first and place a ward in the bushes near the buff so one can be alerted beforehand, just in case an enemy invades your jungle. If no enemy is around, start taking down the jungle monsters. It is advisable to unlock Viego’s first skill and start clearing jungle monsters by starting with the Red Brambleback before proceeding to the Blue Sentinel.

Clearing the camps in the order of Red Brambleback, Raptors, Wolves, Blue Buff, and Scuttle Crab. This rotation allows the player to level up and farm quickly, gain gold, whilst securing your buffs from any potential enemy invasion.

Wild Rift Viego Guide Early Game
Image via Riot Games

On clearing out the jungle, players could either rotate to invade the enemy jungle or help gank with an enemy side laner. With that simple jungle rotation technique, players should have unlocked the ultimate. Players should return to the base to get some pre-core items before larger monsters like Rift Herald and Dragon spawn.

Players should not conserve Smite, try to maximize it to slay strong jungle monsters especially when an enemy is contesting it. Players must note that it’s much advised to prioritize and secure the Rift Herald, as its perks and rewards are more overall beneficial for the team. To easily perform in the early game, one must use the following combo:

Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Skill 1

This Combo allows Viego to follow up by Camouflaging himself amid his Second skill and then proceed to slay his enemies with attacks from his first skill and basic attacks.

Mid Game

On taking down main Jungle objectives like the Rift Herald, the allies would be granted lots of gold. Players should further utilize the Herald to take down an enemy turret, granting them extra gold necessary to easily buy and purchase some of your core build items.

With at least, two Damage items one can easily kite and takedown the squishy enemy champions from a distance. To achieve that, one must prioritize aiming at the enemy team’s main ADC as well as suitable heroes to become his wraith. That is, prioritizing enemy champions with high damage or CC skills from their first 3 skills can be quite essential in taking down multiple enemy champions. Nonetheless, one must not forget that prioritizing enemy main ADC heroes would deter enemies farming as killing them will make the enemy fall behind in terms of gold and XP.

Players should also try and utilize Viego’s camouflage perk from his third skill to ambush enemy targets that might just be on his trail. To easily burst down enemy ADC in the Mid or late game, one must use the following combo:

Skill 4 + Skill 1 + Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Skill 1

Late Game

With all the necessary items with you, you’re now capable of easily bursting down and taking down enemy mages, marksmen, and assassins with a perfectly timed camouflage combo. But keep in mind, enemy champions are also quite as powerful so properly time the use of the Stasis enchants especially when facing a high burst damage dealer. Since positioning yourself matters the most, one must not engage alone.

Wild Rift Viego Guide Late Game
Image via Riot Games

One should also prioritize taking objectives like securing and taking down Epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elder Dragons to give your team the upper hand each match.

Final Thoughts

Judging by his skill info and builds, Viego is undoubtedly a strong Assassin champion who can easily burst down enemy champions whilst utilizing their wraiths to even takedown more enemy champions. His passive is indeed annoying to deal with on the rift.

Huge blow for Esports fans as Wild Rift has recently announced the discontinuation of its Esports support in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The Wild Rift League (WRL) Asia, once covering both China and APAC, will now exclude APAC, essentially ending Riot’s esports backing for that region and making way for localized tournaments.

APAC Wild Rift teams will now participate in localized community tournaments

In the official statement, the team mentioned that for the past year, the focus has been on esports activities of Wild Rift in APAC and China by way of the WRL while other regions rely on third-party competitions. At the same time, the WRL has been able to bear fruit since grassroots and community events have been successful across many regions.

In light of this, the decision has been made to expand this grassroots approach to the APAC region as well. The decision is so that Wild Rift players can actively participate in competitions while “fostering a strong sense of community and belonging”, as per the statement. The shift towards grassroots and community-led competitions was seen as the most sustainable and empowering path forward for APAC.

As of this announcement, once again, China will be the region holding a monopoly in the WRL, and, as a result, it means the adoption of the grassroots approach that is currently in the West. Hence, APAC teams will now mainly participate in localized community tournaments.

To be fair, this is bad news for Esports fans in the region. Last year, there were also talks about the downfall of Wild Rift Esports in the West, especially after the official announcement of the team’s decision to concentrate solely on the Asia region, recognized as the most vibrant mobile esports market., but now even that’s limited to China.

Skill Analysis

Wild Rift Kalista Guide skills
Image via Riot Games

Kalista is a champion with common five skill sets of one passive and four active skills. In this Kalista guide, we will be checking out her abilities in Wild Rift and how to maximize each skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.

Passive – Martial Poise

  • Allows Kalista to Dash whilst Attacking
  • Makes Ally Oathsworn at the start of the game

The Dash perk from her passive ability allows her to be extremely mobile on the rift. As with each basic attack, she is capable of dashing a short distance, thus making it hard for enemy targets to pin her down or catch up to her.

Kalista can only choose one of her allies to be her Oathsworn, and this cannot be changed throughout the match. In short, choose wisely the champion which should be your Oathsworn, you could choose your ally support.

Skill 1 – Pierce

Kalista throws an On kill Spear which passes through to the next enemy. Kalista also dashes while casting this skill.

Skill 2 – Sentinel

  • Passive: Attack with Oathsworn ally to deal Bonus Champions to enemy champions.
  • Active: Cast skill to Summon Soul, revealing hidden enemies in the area.

This skill is quite useful as it gives you and your Oathsworn ally an added advantage against enemy champions. The Damage buff can be essential in swiftly eliminating enemy champions. Whilst it’s active skill is essential to avoid being ganked during any of the gameplay phases. Kalista could use it instead of placing a ward, especially in situations where the ward is on Cooldown.

Skill 3 – Rend

  • Passive: Attacks stacks spears in enemy targets.
  • Active: The skill can be cast to Rip out the stacked spears and deal damage to enemy champions.

On killing an enemy target with this skill, the skill’s cooldown refreshes and the mana cost is also refunded.

Skill 4 – Fate’s Call

Kalista Summons her Oathsworn Ally to aid her in battle. The Oathsworn ally can then dash to knock back surrounding enemy champions. Coupled with the bonus damage from her passive, Kalista and her Oathsworn ally can jointly attack and easily takedown enemy champions.

Best Build, Runes Setup, and Spells for Kalista in Wild Rift

Players are recommended to use Kalista in the Duo lane as she is a very powerful Marksman-role champion. Her Battle item setup remains similar in general. Nevertheless, you might want to change them regarding the enemy composition. Our Wild Rift Kalista guide showcases the best pre-match build and runes setup needed to excel on the battlefield.

Kalista Best Rune Setup

Kalista Runes Wild Rift

  • Lethal Tempo: This keystone grants extra attack speed and attack damage perks that are very useful during Kalista’s laning gameplay.
  • Bone plating: This rune grants a unique passive which reduces damage received from enemy champions on the battlefield. Thus, increasing Kalista’s survivability
  • Legend: Alacrity – This rune grants bonus attack speed on each takedown and elimination which Kalista does.
  • Brutal: This rune grants extra adaptive damage on each of Kalista’s basic attacks.
  • Giant Slayer: This rune allows Kalista to deal increased damage against enemy champions based on how high the enemies’ Bonus health is. In short, it helps to easily take down tanky champions.

Battle Spells

  • Flash: For safety purposes, it is advised to equip the Flash spell. Kalista could maximize this spell to further increase her mobility on the battlefield. This would make it easier for her to catch up and take down enemy champions or flee from dangerous situations.
  • Exhaust: This Battle spell can be quite essential as it reduces enemy movement speed as well as reducing their attack damage for the short duration the spell is active.

Best Build for Kalista in League of Legends: Wild Rift

In this guide, we will break down the build for Kalista in LoL Wild Rift.

  • Quicksilver Enchant: Players can first get Berserkers Greaves, before Enchanting it into Quicksilver Enchant item. Berserkers Greaves at first grants extra movement speed, Attack Damage, and Attack speed needed for giving Kalista the early game advantage. On enchanting it into Quicksilver Enchant, Kalista can utilize the item to make herself immune to crowd-control attacks whilst the enchant is active.
  • Blade of the Ruined King: This equipment allows Kalista to deal Bonus damage on each basic attack she uses after using her basic attack. This item also increases the Movement Speed of Kalista whilst decreasing the movement speed of enemies hit by Kalista’s attacks
  • Bloodthirster: This item grants extra attack perks based on one’s maximum Health HP. It also grants extra Critical Chance and physical attack damage when the item is completed.
  • Runaan’s Hurricane: This item is quite essential as it allows Kalista to fire additional bolts to enemy targets, thus, making it easier for her to kite enemies.
  • Crown of the Shattered Queen: This item is quite powerful as it provides extra sustain and durability against enemy champions. Combined with its extra perks, this item is indeed helpful whilst on the rift.
  • Wit’s End: This item is quite essential as it provides extra magic resistance and attack speed. More importantly, its unique passive grants extra attack damage and regen from attacking enemy champions.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Kalista Gameplay Tips

Kalista is a powerful Marksman/ADC role champion who specializes in utilizing her mobility to kite her enemies on the rift. Due to her skill set and hero style, it is highly recommended to go to Duo Lane with Kalista.

Wild Rift’s map is mirrored, so it is necessary to understand the map side before laning. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift guide for Kalista includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.

Early Game

You can start by buying the Dagger item at first, for extra attack speed and as a basic item for Kalista’s builds. Choose your Oathsworn, it is advisable to choose your support as your Oathsworn ally. As the support is mostly expected to accompany you in the lane. Do also remember to stay close to your Oathsworn ally to enjoy its benefits.

Wild Rift Kalista Early Game gameplay

Next up, proceed to place a ward in the bushes close to your lane so you can be alerted beforehand, just in case your lane will be ganked. If no enemy is around, clear your lane whilst ensuring that the last-hit enemy minions are cleared for more gold. Don’t overextend and focus on farming and destroying the enemy turret, As destroying the enemy turret plating grants extra gold.

Make use of Kalista’s Passive dashes to attack and kite enemies from a distance whilst reducing the amount of damage received to yourself. To easily perform in the early game, one must use the following combo.

Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Skill 3

Mid Game

On properly farming in your lane, Kalista would have gotten enough gold to purchase her core damage items which include Blade of the Ruined King and Wit’s End, coupled with Bloodthirster, one would have enough attack speed and attack damage to burst down enemy champions. To achieve that, one must prioritize aiming the enemy team’s main ADC and mages from the backlines.

As your team depends on your damage during teamfights and ganks. One must also avoid being caught up in the main Crowd control abilities of enemy Tank/Support. Players should also utilize Kalista’s ultimate ability to help gain an advantage when sneaking up on enemy targets and objectives. To easily burst down enemy ADC in the Mid or late game, one must use the following combo.

Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Skill 3 + Skill 4

Late Game

With all the necessary items with you, you’re now capable of killing enemy mages, marksmen, and assassins with a perfectly timed combo. But keep in mind, that an enemy has also that amount of damage. Since positioning yourself matters the most, one must not engage alone.

Wild Rift Kalista Late Game gameplay
Image via Riot Games

One can also proceed to take the extra buff rewards from your allied jungler, mostly the Red Brambleback’s buff. Apart from that, accomplish the objectives like clearing lanes, and taking down Epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elder Dragons.

Final Thoughts

Judging by her skill info and builds, Kalista is undoubtedly a strong marksman champion who can easily burst down enemy champions in seconds. The blink perk from her passive even makes her more annoying to takedown on the rift. Nonetheless, as long as one has a worthy Oathsworn by one’s side, one can surely overperform on the Rift.

Skill 1 – Hate Spike

  • CD: 4s

Unleashes two lines of spikes, dealing magic damage equal to 40 + 40% Magic Power each to all enemies struck. The skill can recast within 4 seconds. The skill deals 35% damage to minions.

Skill 2 – Allure

  • Control Debuff skill
  • CD: 14s

Curses target champions or monsters for 5 seconds. Evelynn’s next attack or ability will expunge the Curse and slow them by 65% for 1 second. The Curse lasts at least 2.5 seconds, expunging it charms the target for 1 second. If the target is a champion, shred their Magic Resist by 20% for 4 seconds. If the target is a monster, deal an additional 300 + 60% magic damage. Casting Allure does not remove Evelynn from Demon Shade.

Skill 3 – Whiplash

  • CD: 8s

The skill whips a target with Lashers, applying on-hit effects and dealing magic damage equals to 55 plus 3% of their max Health. Then, gain 30% Movement Speed for 2 seconds. Entering Demon Shade enhances the next cast to pull Evelynn to her target, dealing increased Magic damage equal to 75 plus 5% of their max Health to all enemies in the way.

Skill 4 – Last Caress

Evelynn briefly goes untargetable and decimates the area in front of her before warping backwards a long distance. Deals Magic damage equals 120 + 75% magic Power, increased to 230% to enemy champions below 35% health.

Best Build, Runes Setup, and Spells for Evelynn in Wild Rift

Players are recommended to use Evelynn in the Jungle lane as she’s a very powerful Assassin-role champion. Her Battle item setup remains similar in general. Nevertheless, you might want to change them regarding the enemy composition. Our Wild Rift Evelynn guide showcases the best Pre-match build and runes setup needed to excel on the battlefield.

Evelynn Best Rune Setup

  • First Strike: This Rune helps in giving Evelynn an extra Gold boost ahead whilst farming in the early game. The extra true damage attribute can also help make it easier for Evelynn to takedown enemy champions.
  • Sudden Impact: This rune grants extra magic penetration whenever Evelynn exits the Stealth state. Thus allowing her to efficiently takedown enemy champions on the rift.
  • Mark of the Weak: This rune allows Evelynn to deal extra ability damage the more she hits enemy targets with her skills. Thus, making it easier to take down enemy champions.
  • Eyeball Collector: This rune allows Evelynn to stack and gain more adaptive ability power on each enemy takedown she completes.
  • Giant Slayer: This rune allows Evelynn to deal increased damage against enemy champions based on how high the enemies’ Bonus health is. In short, it helps to easily take down tanky champions.

Battle Spells

  • Smite: It is highly recommended to jungle with Evelynn. Thus, equipping the Smite battle spell makes it even easier to takedown jungle monsters whilst farming in the Jungle lane. This spell should be only taken when laning in the Jungle. Players can also equip extra battle spells like Ignite or Flash are advisable.
  • Flash: For safety purposes, it is advised to equip the Flash spell. Evelynn could maximize this spell to increase her mobility on the battlefield. This would make it easier for her to catch up and take down enemy champions or flee from dangerous situations.
  • Ignite: This spell helps deal extra true damage to enemy champions, thus making it an efficient tool in finishing up enemies.

Best Build for Evelynn in League of Legends: Wild Rift

In this guide, we will break down the build for Evelynn in LoL Wild Rift.

  • Protobelt: Players can first get Boots of Mana, before Enchanting it into Protobelt. Boots of Mana at first grant extra movement speed, Magic power as well as extra mana regeneration. On enchanting it into Protobelt, Eveleynn can utilize it to dash forward and deal enormous magic damage to surrounding enemies.
  • Lich Bane: This equipment allows Evelynn to deal Bonus damage on each basic attack she uses after using her abilities. The extra damage greatly strengthens her basic attacks.
  • Rabadon’s Deathcap: This item grants lots of ability power and magic penetration, whilst increasing her total Ability power with a level increase.
  • Infinity Orb: This item build grants extra Magic power and additional Magic penetration that would be beneficial when attacking enemy champions.
  • Crown of the Shattered Queen: This item is quite powerful as it provides extra sustain and durability against enemy champions. Combined with its extra perks, this item is indeed helpful whilst on the rift.
  • Oceanid’s Trident: This build item provides extra ability power and magic penetration, but more importantly its unique passive allows it to reduce enemy shield gain. Thus making it easier for Evelynn to burst down high-sustain champions.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Evelynn Gameplay Tips

Evelynn is a powerful assassin role champion who specializes in easily taking down enemy backline champions without a trace thanks to her powerful Stealth ability. Due to her skill set and hero style, it is highly recommended to go to Jungle Lane with Evelynn.

Wild Rift’s map is mirrored, so it is necessary to understand the map side before laning. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift guide for Evelynn includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.

Early Game

You can start by buying the Amplifying Tome item at first, for extra magic power and as a basic item for Evelynn’s builds. Next up proceed to place a ward in the bushes near your buff so you can be alerted beforehand, just in case the enemy invades your jungle. If no enemy is around, start taking down the jungle monsters.

It is advisable to start with the Red Brambleback before proceeding to the Blue Sentinel. Then clear the camps in the order of Red Brambleback, Raptors, Wolves, Blue Buff, and Scuttle Crab. This rotation allows the player to level up and farm quickly, gain gold, whilst securing your buffs from any potential enemy invasion.

Wild Rift Evelynn Guide Early Game
Image via Riot Games

On clearing out the jungle, you could either rotate to invade the enemy jungle or help gank the enemy side laner. With that simple jungle rotation technique, you should have unlocked your ultimate. Then return to the base to get some pre-core items before larger monsters like Rift Herald and Dragon spawn. Do not conserve your smite, try to maximize it to slay strong jungle monsters especially when the enemy is contesting it.

Players must note that it’s much more advisable to prioritize and secure the Rift Herald, as its perks and rewards are more overall beneficial for the team. Also, in the early game, Evelynn should prioritize farming up so she can unlock the Camouflage perk of her passive ability. One must note that the Camouflage is only available when she reaches Level 5. With Camouflage, Evelynn can easily sneak up on enemy ADC and assist in taking them down in the early game phase. To easily perform in the early game, one must use the following combo.

Skill 2 + Skill 1 (Recast on Repeat) + Skill 3

Mid Game

On taking down main Jungle objectives like the Rift Herald, you and your allies would be granted lots of gold. Further utilizing the Herald to take down an enemy turret, would grant extra gold necessary to easily buy purchase some of your core build items.

On prioritizing Evelynn’s main damage items which include Lich Bane and Infinity Orb, coupled with even Rabadon’s Deathcap, one can easily take down the squishy enemy champions. To achieve that, one must prioritize aiming the enemy team’s main ADC.

Wild Rift Evelynn Guide Late Game
Image via Riot Games

Being a burst damage champion you shouldn’t target high HP and sustain heroes unless they have very low Health and are alone. Nonetheless, prioritizing enemy main ADC heroes would deter enemies farming as killing them will make the enemy fall behind in terms of gold and XP.

Players should utilize their camouflage and use their ultimate ability on enemy backliners to deal high burst AOE damage to them and their surrounding enemy champions. To easily burst down enemy ADC in the Mid or late game, one must use the following combo.

Skill 2 + Skill 1 (Recast on repeat) + Skill 3 + Skill 4

Late Game

Upon farming and taking objectives during the early or mid-game, Evelynn is quite strong as her burst skills now excel at performing takedowns on enemy backliners effectively. Nonetheless, one should prioritize taking solo or loose-end champions as she’s not too durable to face numerous enemy champions head-on.

During the late game, both teams deal with massive damage and their main objective is to push turrets whilst securing epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elder Dragons. As an Assassin, roam around the map, preferably with a Tank to soak all the damages, and then target the carry and Mage heroes. Once the enemy’s main damage dealer has been taken down, your team will be able to easily clear the lanes.

Final Thoughts

Evelynn is undoubtedly a strong assassin champion with powerful skills that can easily burst down enemy champions in seconds. Coupled with a unique passive and powerful ultimate ability, Evelynn is a true and worthy S-tier Jungle hero capable of dominating the ranks.

Wild Rift Patch 5.1 Update Tier List: Meta Discussion

Baron Lane Tier List

Pretty Solid Baron lane champions like Renekton, Aatrox, and Ornn are quite powerful as they can dominate the lane while making lots of powerful contributions during teamfights. It is still noticed that the Monkey King Wukong is more durable and powerful than ever, but he continues to dominate the patch. Other worthy Tiers A meta champions are still very capable of making enemies tremble in their lanes.

Wild Rift Renekton Guide

Whilst lower-tier champions like Nasus continue to underperform even in the current patch updates and build adjustments.

Jungle

Ever since the release of the newest patch update, we can still find new champions like Kindred and Talon dominating the role as their powerful abilities and combos make it quite easy to complete and take objectives.

League of Legends Wild Rift Kindred Game Guide Cover

Kindred with the help of its dynamic passive and death immune ultimate sure makes it easy to take down enemy champions and seal the win whilst you and your teammates are taking main Jungle objectives.

Mid Lane

Ahri still dominates the mid-lane with her low cooldown and high burst skillsets. Coupled with the movement it provides, she’s very much capable of absolutely crushing enemies in the mid-lane.

Ahri Wild Rift

Other champions like Vladimir, Kassadin and Akali still keep on dominating the mid-lane tier with their unique damage and burst skills. Coupled with their late-game scaling, they sure are quite hard to counter in the lane.

Attack Damage Carry (ADC) / Duo Lane

Even with previous adjustments, Caitlyn remains the queen of the ADCs. Her range and poking potential are off the charts. She can just stay in the backline, and dish out damage in an all-you-can-eat buffet. Her passive and her ultimate are both very dangerous and due to her traps, she is a marksman champion capable of dealing enormous damage whilst still playing safe from the backlines

Caitlyn League of Legends Wild Rift

Other champions like Lucian, Varus and Zeri are still very much broken as they can easily burst down enemy targets from long range within a short time, thus, making them all viable choices in the Duo lane

Support

Among the support units, Pyke has become a really powerful support champion. With his all-powerful Ultimate that executes low HP champions, he has become a very scary champion to face during teamfights. His other skillsets which grant extra sustain and damage have also further enhanced his utility on the Rift. Other champions like the tanky, hulking shipwreck which is Nautilus, are still very dangerous if he hook the player and dashes to the player. Players must void the hooks, at any cost.

Wild Rift Pyke Champion Guide Cover

Yuumi, on the other hand, has made the S-Tier, just by relaxing with her partner in the bottom lane. Any ADC becomes a better, boosted version of themselves. When they have a Yuumi attached to them, the only rule that the Yuumi should uphold is to be very careful, when she attaches and detaches from someone. If she manages that properly, she is excellent support.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the meta is quite balanced. No particular champion is essentially overpowered or underpowered. Once the new champions Kalista, Viego, and Maokai are released in the game, the tier list will be updated. Read more of our Wild Rift content in the meantime!

This fighter role champion is quite powerful with a unique skillset capable of decimating multiple enemies easily. In this guide, we will take a closer look at the best runes, spells, and builds, including tips and tricks to swing your way to victory with Xin Zhao in Wild Rift.

We also have previously discussed how to master playing with LoL Wild Rift heroes like Akshan, AmmuMaster YiJinxBraumDr. MundoAkaliYasuoSingedJaxDarius, AsheLuluMiss FortuneBlitzcrankTeemoXayahRakanCorkiShyvanaJannaKatarinaLeonaPantheonDiana, GalioFiora, RammusSona, Kai’SaRengarKha’ZixNasusRenektonIreliaRivenNamiSorakaGravesSennaLucian and Talon. So make sure to check these hero guides as well. For now, let’s focus on Xin Zhao.

Skill Analysis

Xin Zhao is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive and four active skills. In this Xin Zhao guide, we will be checking out his abilities in Wild Rift and how to maximize each skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.

Image via Riot Games

Passive – Determination

Every third attack deals additional physical damage (equals to 22% total physical attack damage) and heals for HP equal to 13 (7 + 10% Physical Attack damage +40% Magic Power).

Skill 1 – Three Talon Strike

  • Physical Control skill
  • CD: 9s

The skill empowers the next three attacks to deal additional physical damage (equal to 20 + 40% bonus physical attack damage) and reduce the cooldown of other abilities by 1 second. The third attack knocks the target up for 0.75 seconds.

Skill 2 – Wind Becomes Light

  • Physical Slow
  • CD: 12s

The skill slashes his spear, dealing physical damage (equals to 50+ + 50% total physical damage) while slowing enemy targets by 50% for 1.5 seconds. Xin Zhao then thrusts his spear, dealing physical damage (equals to 40 + 80% total physical attack damage) and slowing by 50% for 1.5 seconds.

The furthest enemy champion or large monster hit is challenged for 3 seconds, increasing Audacious Charge’s cast range at them.

Note

  • Attack Speed reduces the cast time
  • Deals 50% damage to minions

Skill 3 – Audacious Charge

Dashes to an enemy, dealing Magic damage (equals to 50 + 80% Total Magic Power) to all nearby enemies and slowing them by 30% for 0.5 seconds. Xin Zhao gains 40% Attack Speed for 5 seconds. This ability’s cast range is increased against a Challenged target.

Skill 4 – Crescent Guard

  • Physical Control
  • CD: 84s
  • Passive: The last champion hit by an attack or Audacious Charge is now Challenged.
  • Active: Sweeps his spear, dealing physical damage equal to 75 (75 + 100% bonus physical attack + 80% total magic power) plus 15% of enemies’ maximum Health and knocking all enemies back except the Challenged one. For the next 5 seconds, Xin Zhao blocks damage from enemies far away.

The skill also deals 600 max damage against monsters.

Best Build, Runes Setup, and Spells for Xin Zhao in Wild Rift

Players are recommended to use Xin Zhao in the Jungle lane, though players might also choose to play him in the Baron lane. So his Battle item setup remains similar in general. Nevertheless, you might want to change them regarding the enemy composition. Our Wild Rift guide showcases the best Pre-match build and runes setup needed to excel on the battlefield.

Xin Zhao ADC Rune Setup

Battle Spells

  • Smite: It is highly advisable to jungle with Xin Zhao, thus, equipping the Smite battle spell makes it even more easy to takedown jungle monsters. This spell should be only taken when laning in the Jungle. if else, spells, like Ignite or Flash are advisable.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Xin Zhao Gameplay Tips

Xin Zhao is a powerful champion capable of bursting down and taking down enemy targets within a short time. Thanks to his high burst damage potential and armor penetration, the best lane to use him is Jungle. Or else you can play him in the mid-lane to farm more efficiently.

The Wild Rift’s map is a mirror, so it is needed to understand the map side before laning. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift guide for Xin Zhao includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.

Early Game

Buy a long sword at first and place a ward in the bushes near your buff so you can be alerted beforehand, just in case the enemy invades your jungle. If no enemy is around, start taking down the jungle monsters. It is advisable to start with the Red Brambleback before proceeding to the Blue Sentinel.

Then clear the camps in Red Brambleback, Raptors, Wolves, Blue Buff, and Scuttle Crab. This rotation allows the player to level up and farm quickly, gain gold, whilst securing your buffs from any potential enemy invasion.

To easily perform in the early game, one must use the following combo:

Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Skill 1

Mid Game

On taking down main Jungle objectives like the Rift Herald, you and your allies would be granted lots of gold. Further utilizing the Herald to take down an enemy turret, would grant extra gold necessary to easily buy purchase some of your core build items. With at least, 2 damage items one can easily take down the squishy enemy champions.

To achieve that, one must prioritize aiming the enemy team’s main ADC. Being a burst damage champion you shouldn’t target high HP and sustain heroes unless they have very low Health and are alone. Nonetheless, prioritizing enemy main ADC heroes would deter enemies farming as killing them will make the enemy fall behind in terms of gold and XP.

So prioritize your ultimate ability on enemy backliners to challenge them and deal extra damage to surrounding enemy champions. To easily burst down enemy ADC in the Mid or late game, one must use the following combo.

Skill 3 + Skill 2 + Skill 4 + Skill 1

Late Game

Upon farming and taking objectives during the early or mid-game, Xin Zhao now excels at taking down enemy backliners effectively. He is not too durable to face numerous enemy champions head-on. During the late game, both teams deal with massive damage and their main objective is to push turrets whilst securing epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elder Dragons.

As an Assassin, roam around the map, preferably with a Tank to soak all the damages, and then target the carry and Mage heroes. Once the enemy’s main damage dealer has been taken down, your team will be able to clear the lanes easily.

Final Thoughts

Xin Zhao is a strong and capable fighter champion with powerful skills that can easily burst down enemy champions in seconds. Coupled with a unique passive and powerful ultimate ability, Xin Zhao is undoubtedly an annoying champion to deal with. Nonetheless, one thing is for sure, it is really fun playing him.

MOONTON Games and Riot Games have resolved their global intellectual property disputes through a recent settlement agreement. On April 2, 2024, following extensive communication, both parties officially signed the agreement, leading Riot Games to withdraw its related lawsuits.

The long-running court battle between MOONTON Games and Riot Games gets a closure

The controversy dates back to 2017 when Riot filed a $2.9 million lawsuit against MOONTON for Copyright Infringement. Again, on May 9, 2022, Riot Games filed its second lawsuit against MOONTON, claiming that the latter’s game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang copied parts of Riot’s popular game, League of Legends. In this plagiarism accusation, Riot stated that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang had similarities in its campaign, trailers, in-game skins, and other elements.

Riot Games even asked Google to remove Mobile Legends: Bang Bang from the Play Store. After it was taken down, MOONTON secretly released a modified version of the game. Riot Games compiled all the similarities between the two games in their lawsuit, including campaign content, character designs, trailers, and community reactions.

In November 2022, the District Court ruling dismissed the case between Riot Games and MOONTON. The court suggested that the parties settle their disputes in China, where it was considered more appropriate to address the matter given the Mobile Legends maker and Riot Games’ parent company Tencent is based in China.

The resolution between MOONTON Games and Riot Games marks the end of a highly discussed controversy in recent times. It stands alongside other notable disputes in the gaming industry, with the Apple vs. Epic Games case being one of the most prominent and widely debated. We have no details on whether they have come to a monetary agreement for lawsuit withdrawal, but it’s fair to say that both parties will find some relief now.

Skill Analysis

Kindred is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive and four active skills. In this Kindred guide, we will be checking out his abilities in Wild Rift and how to maximize each skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.

Passive – Determination

Kindred-passive-ability

It marks a target with Mark of the Kindred for hunting, allowing Kindred to deal an additional 30% damage to small monsters. Red Bramblebacks and Blue Sentinels are marked. There are different ways to mark a target:

  • Auto-refresh: Every 30 seconds, the Mark on a monster expires and a new one Is automatically applied. Marks on monsters are highlighted on the minimap.
  • Active: Tap the Mark button above your spells to mark an enemy champion. Scoring a takedown against a haunted target grants a Mark of the Kindred stack that empowers Kindred.

The first 2 stacks gained grants with a 75 attack range, and every 3 stacks gained subsequently granted a 25 attack range. Mark of the Kindred also empowers abilities and grants them the following effects:

  • Dance of Arrows: Gain % bonus attack speed equals 1% of the Mark of the Kindred stack count.
  • Wolf’s Frenzy: Deal bonus damage equal to % of current Health(1% of Mark of the Kindred Stack count)
  • Mounting Dread: Deal bonus damage equal to 0% of missing Health (1% of Mark of the Kindred stack count).

Skill 1 – Dance of Arrows

Kindred-passive-ability

Rolls in a target direction and fires an arrow at up to 3 enemies, dealing 65 physical damage and gaining 35% Attack speed for 4 seconds. While in Wolf’s Frenzy, this ability’s cooldown is reduced to 4 seconds

Skill 2 – Wolf’s Frenzy

Kindred-Wolfs-Frenzy-skill
  • Passive: Gains Hunter’s Vigor stacks when moving or attacking. After gaining 100 stacks, Kindred’s next attack restores 25 Health. Health restoration is based on missing Health and level.
  • Active: Claims an area as territory and directs Wolf to maul the last target that Lamb attacked.

Wolf’s mauling deals Magic damage equal to (25+20% of bonus+20%) plus (1.5+1% of Mark of Kindred stack count)% of the target’s current Health. Wolf also deals 100% damage-marked monsters and other surrounding monsters, slowing them by 50% for 2 seconds. Health restoration is the greatest when below 30% Health. The skill deals up to 300 damage to monsters.

Skill 3 – Mounting Dread

Kindred-Mounting-Dread-ability

The skill slows an enemy by 50% for 1 second. Kindred’s third attack within 4 seconds of attacking an enemy directs Wolf to pounce on the target, dealing Physical damage (equal to 80 + 70% of bonus attack plus 8 + 1% Mark of the Kindred stack count) of the target’s missing Health to enemies below 25% Health (25%+40%). It deals up to 300 damage against monsters.

Skill 4 – Lamb’s Respite

Kindred-Lamb-Respite-skill

Lamb blesses the ground under himself for 3 seconds, creating a zone where all units within cannot be killed. When units inside the zone fall to 10% Health or below, they become invulnerable to damage for as long as they stay inside the zone, during which they cannot be healed.

When the blessing ends, restores 200 Health to units within the zone and heals for 100 Health. This ability does not take effect against structures.

Best Build, Runes Setup, and Spells for Kindred in Wild Rift

Players are recommended to use Kindred in the Jungle lane. Kindred’s Battle item setup remains similar in general. Nevertheless, you might want to change them regarding the enemy composition. Our Wild Rift Kindred guide showcases the best Pre-match build and runes setup needed to excel on the battlefield.

Kindred Best ADC Rune Setup

The Best Attack Rune Setup for Kindred is as follows:

  • Kraken Slayer: This rune is useful as it deals bonus true damage allowing Kindred to easily kite and eliminate enemies.
  • Triumph: This Precision Rune helps in giving Kindred extra sustain on each enemy champion takedown.
  • Giant Slayer: This rune allows Kindred to deal increased damage against enemy champions based on how high the enemies’ Bonus health is. In short, it helps to easily take down tanky champions.
  • Sudden Impact: This rune grants extra armor penetration whenever Kindred dashes with his skills. Thus allowing Kindred to effectively engage and takedown enemy champions on the rift.
  • Legend: Bloodline: As Kindred can easily kite and takedown enemy champions, this rune grants extras sustain and regen on attacking enemies.

Battle Spells

  • Smite: It is highly advisable to jungle with Kindred, thus, equipping the Smite battle spell makes it even more easy to takedown jungle monsters. This spell should be only taken when laning in the Jungle. if else, spells, like Ignite or Flash are advisable.
  • Flash: For safety purposes, it is advised to pick up Flash. Kindred could maximize this spell to increase its mobility on the battlefield. This would make it easier for Kindred to catch up and take down enemy champions or flee from dangerous situations.

Best Build for Kindred in League of Legends: Wild Rift

Since Kindred is a ranged attacker, this build would focus on giving Kindred extra Attack speed and critical attack damage necessary to kite multiple enemies. In short, this Wild Rift build showcases the best items to try on with Kindred to perform exceedingly with it on the Rift.

  • Gluttonous Greaves: This boot item is quite useful as it grants extra attack damage along with an extra % Omnivamp which is quite useful when faced with enemy champions in the early game.
  • The Collector: This attack item grants extra armor potential and more importantly, a new passive that executes Low Health enemy champions
  • Trinity Force: This equipment allows Kindred to deal bonus damage on using an ability, thus enhancing its next Basic attack. It also increases Attack speed and damage allowing one to take down enemy targets more easily
  • Magnetic Reminder: This item grants lots of attack speed and critical chance. Coupled with its Chain-like Passive, Kindred would be able to kite enemies more easily.
  • Mortal Reminder: This item grants lots of armor penetration thus strengthening the damage of each attack. It also grants burn-type damage whenever Kindred attacks enemy targets.
  • Bloodthirster: This item grants extra attack perks based on one’s maximum Health HP. It also grants extra Critical Chance and physical attack damage when the item is completed.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Kindred Gameplay Tips

Kindred is a powerful champion capable of bursting down and taking down enemy targets within a short period. Thanks to their high burst damage potential and armor penetration, the best lane to use them is Jungle. The Wild Rift’s map is a mirror, so it is needed to understand the map side before laning. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends Wild Rift guide for Kindred includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.

Early Game

Players can buy a long sword at first and place a ward in the bushes near the buff so one can be alerted beforehand, just in case an enemy invades your jungle. If no enemy is around, start taking down the jungle monsters. It is advisable to start with the Red Brambleback before proceeding to the Blue Sentinel.

Clear the camps in the order of Red Brambleback, Raptors, Wolves, Blue Buff and Scuttle Crab. This rotation allows the player to level up and farm quickly, gain gold, whilst securing your buffs from any potential enemy invasion.

Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Skill 3

To achieve that, one must prioritize aiming the enemy team’s main ADC. Being a burst damage champion, players shouldn’t target high HP and sustain heroes unless they have very low Health and are alone. Nonetheless, prioritizing enemy main ADC heroes would deter enemies farming as killing them will make the enemy fall behind in terms of gold and XP.

Since Kindred is relatively squishy avoid soloing and always move with a roamer to aid you in combat. Players should prioritize enemy targets with low control abilities so they can take them down easily. One should also prioritize the Ultimate ability during intense teamfights since it prolongs their allies’ durability whilst the skill is active. To easily burst down enemy ADC in the Mid or late game, one must use the following combo:

Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Skill 3 + Skill 4 + Skill 1

Late Game

Upon farming and taking objectives during the early or mid-game, Kindred now excels at taking down enemy backliners effectively. As they can easily takedown not-too-durable enemy champions on the Rift. During the late game, both teams deal with massive damage and their main objective is to push turrets whilst securing epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elder Dragons.

As the ranged Jungler, roam around the map, preferably with a Tank to soak all the damages, and then target enemy carry and Mage heroes whilst keeping a distance. Once the enemy’s main damage dealer has been taken down, you and your team will be able to easily clear the lanes and take on objectives

Final Thoughts

Kindred is undoubtedly a powerful Jungle champion with powerful skills and high critical attack that can easily burst down enemy champions. Coupled with the powerful death-immune ultimate ability, Kindred is undoubtedly an annoying champion to deal with. Nonetheless, one thing is for sure, it is really fun playing this new champion.
