Rockstar Games has officially confirmed the remastered version of the three action–role playing games in its groundbreaking GTA Trilogy, namely Grand Theft III, Vice City, and San Andreas, collectively titled Grand Theft Auto: The Definitive Edition will be released across all platforms this year!
GTA: The Definitive Edition mobile release to happen in early 2022
To celebrate GTA III’s 20th anniversary, Rockstar is launching remastered versions with enhanced graphics and gameplay (although they didn’t go into exact details yet) of the three beloved games all together on PC, Console, Switch– and most importantly, iOS and Android. However, mobile platforms will be getting the games after the other platforms in the first half of 2022.
All the leaks and rumors have been completely proved to be true now with no room for speculation and doubt as gamers worldwide and across platforms now have reason to be hyped as Rockstar confirms it on social media and via a post on the official website.
Also, if players haven’t played the original version but want to, they should absolutely go ahead and do it right now as the 3 games are currently up on the App Store and Google Play Store but would be removed next week.
This is among the biggest announcements this whole year, one that has definitely taken the gaming industry by storm. Players who might have first started playing GTA III 20 years ago will be taken back to Liberty City but with modern visuals and gameplay physics, along with other improvements.
While pricing and exact release dates haven’t been released yet, they’ll probably be revealed soon. For now, just the confirmation is enough to excite players and hopefully, Rockstar won’t fail to impress.
