The idle RPG title Trinity Seven Phantasm Library and Seventh Sol will shut down after 4 years of service. The game was based on the Trinity Seven anime, which was inspired by the 2014 manga of the same name created by Kenji Saito and Akinari Nao.
The creators concluded that it would be difficult to continue offering satisfying updates
The game was first revealed on December 24, 2017, at Anime Jam 2017 and was set to be developed by Silicon Studio until November 2, 2018, when the studio closed down. Kadokawa later stated that production resumed on January 27, 2019, with the game officially released on March 22, 2019.
The game contains an easy match-3 action auto-battle system that uses magic bullets to do damage to enemies. For the same, players have to tap on gems to do damage to their adversaries while the characters battled automatically. The game wasn’t critically acclaimed, and after four years, the game announced its shutdown dated June 13, 2023.
The notice was sudden for the players, but it was somewhat expected given the current state of the game. As per the official news announcement from the makers, the reason for the shutdown was due to the fact that the developers felt that continuing to provide satisfying updates would be challenging.
Players can currently use the crystals they have purchased in the game, but will not be able to purchase items from the shop as of April 13, 2023.
