After a great year for Clash Royale fans and a string of success for the developing team in 2021, Supercell has revealed their primary plans for the game moving forward in 2022. The game received multiple new features in the last year including the addition of Champions rarity cards, Star Points to unlock new character looks, magic items, and a new King level. So without further ado, let’s take a look at the plans that Supercell has in store for Clash Royale in 2022.
Clash Royale has great plans in store for players in 2022
First things first, the developers have taken a look into the existing bugs in the game as of now, such as the Bandit and the Fisherman card bugs. And much to the players’ delight, although the issues are taking a little longer than expected due to some problems with the development, a fix will be out as soon as possible. Now coming into the primary plans, Supercell has announced the following for the players.
1. Addition of more rewards and ways to progress
This essentially means that the current rewards might get an addition, such as a new chest type or the number of rewards in the chests, and the game, in general, might be buffed in the process. For ways to progress, it looks like there might be even more ways to gather XP and we might also get another new King level.
2. Increase in the amount of customization/personalization that can be done in-game
In 2021, Clash Royale introduced the Star Points system for the players, which offered the players to kind of personalize their cards by unlocking new looks for the characters in exchange for in-game currency. Well, it’s good news because Supercell is coming with even more options to make your cards reflect yourself, so hold on tight and save your resources.
3. Improvements to current features
One sign of a great game is how willing the developers are to fix and improve the current features in a game, and Clash Royale developers are way ahead of the expectations. Besides the new features, existing ones will also be improved this year and made more player-friendly, and make for an even better experience in-game.
4. Balance changes to be rolled out frequently
The developers at Supercell in charge of Clash Royale have come to the conclusion that 3 months is more time than it is required to roll out balance changes and they’ve thus reduced it to 2 months. The balance changes for 2022 have been scheduled for February, April, June, August, October, and December. This means that there will be even more varied meta in the game and will not offer much room to abuse a particular card.
When will the updates be live in the game
Although a precise date for all the updates hasn’t been announced yet, it has been said that the first set of updates will come to live in the game in April 2022. The updates might be added at once or in more than one set of updates to keep the update size to a minimum and favor the players. Overall, it looks like another exciting year ahead for the game, with the number of new features which the players are surely going to wait for.
