A browser-based AR game from Nintendo titled Pikmin Finder is now available to play on your browsers. The game was unveiled during the Nintendo Live event held in Seattle and will focus on finding Pikmin in your surroundings.

The game is a fun Pikmin pluck-and-hunt for treasure

The game challenges players to locate Pikmin within their real-world surroundings using their device’s camera and augmented reality technology, similar to that of games like Peridot, Pokemon Go, Pikmin Bloom, etc. Players are then required to dispatch these newfound Pikmin companions on a quest to discover a range of treasures.

Collecting Pikmin is simple, you will have to pluck them off to get those Red ones first, with which you can go on a hunt to find different treasures. The screen will indicate when you will have to search for the treasure, and once you do you will find your little Pikmin army moving in the direction of the treasure which you can add to your inventory.

How to play Pikmin Finder on your browser

Playing the game isn’t a hassle at all, you will have to follow a few steps and you can play Pikmin Finder.

  • Open the Pikmin Finder website on your mobile device. You can use any browser for this task, but preferably, we suggest using Chrome. You can find the site here.
  • It will take time to load. Once done, give the permission to access your device camera. This is needed for AR access.
  • The next step is to click on Start AR which will take you to the game screen and you are good to go!

The recently published RPG title Avatars Saga, which was recently renamed Kung Fu Saga, has been the subject of debate following the players accusing the makers of copying the gameplay from the upcoming Nintendo title Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. What’s more astonishing is that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom hasn’t even been released yet which has led to disappointment for the fans waiting for its release.

The game’s gameplay video strikes a resemblance to Zelda’s gameplay demonstration

TTHmobi’s Kung Fu Saga is a new RPG that takes players on an epic journey through a mystical land. The game was already popular in Asian regions prior to its release, and it has received critical acclaim with over 1 million downloads since its debut. However, it has drawn unwanted attention for allegedly being a copycat, though no official confirmation has been provided.

In a video that received a lot of traction in r/tearsofthekingdom, a subreddit dedicated to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a green-clad man is shown riding a falling boulder backward into the sky before gliding onto a sequence of floating islands with a medieval aesthetic, almost exactly replicating a scene from the latest gameplay demonstration of Zelda shared a month ago.

However, there have been mixed reactions to this issue. While many people have expressed strong thoughts about suing the creators, others believe that this is most likely a promotional advertisement and not an actual gameplay clip from Kung Fu Saga, and likely believe it to be a joke.

Although some similarities can be seen when we compare the videos, it is common to have some game genres that may contain similar gameplay principles, making it impossible to develop a truly unique experience. On May 12, 2023, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on the Nintendo Switch, after which we can get a clear picture.

A recently-filed Nintendo patent that is gearing toward a mobile release looks very similar to the 2005 classic video game title Nintendogs released on Nintendo. Rumors of the game sparked the possibility of a release after the patents for the game were released on the internet.

The game would literally allow players to carry their puppies in their pockets

Dogs, being loyal and loving companions are rightly called a Man’s best friend. However not everyone can afford to have one, some don’t have the resources to afford them while some are just too afraid of them as they would bite. With this being the center of the idea, Nintendo released Nintendogs a classic video game title where all people would have to do was spend time with their favorite puppies, in a virtual setting off-course.

Recently a post was shared on Reddit, suggesting Nintendo has seemingly filed a patent for what looks like an AR game that will see players interact with a dog via their phone screens. Nintendogs was a revolutionary and unique idea for its time and thus found great success and a warm reception from the fans, given the success of the game on Nintendo it is safe to say that the game could also be expected to find similar success in the mobile genre because there are no big names in this specific genre.

Interested fans can access the Patent links from the given Reddit link above. The game will have similar in-game features as that was present in the game Pokémon GO, which uses augmented reality to place Pokemon in the real world, it looks like this app will do the same but with a puppy. This seems like a smart move that is bound to repay dividends for the developers as there is no shortage of puppy admirers in our world.
