South-Korean mobile, and online game development company Com2uS Holdings has revealed that its immersive MMORPG Zenonia Chronobreak will get a global release in 2024. The announcement came during the earnings call for Q2 2023.
However, the game will not become available globally in early 2024. Instead, it will be released in Taiwan and Japan first. Later, the game will be out worldwide. On the 27th of June 2023, Zenonia Chronobreak got an exclusive release in Korea on iOS, Android, and PC.
A significant update is coming to Zenonia Chronobreak ahead of its global release
Com2uS’ Q2 2023 earning call revealed that the prior few months could not add any profit to it. And to get out of the situation, it needs a new release in the second half of 2023. Thus, Zenonia Chronobreak is approaching a global release with a major update that will keep players engaged and bring in more.
Moreover, a special dungeon namely the Hall of Trials will come into the game in August 2023, followed by the major update in September. After HoYoverse‘s Genshin Impact picked up a massive hit and popularity, the market is now flooded with similar graphic-style games. Thus, competition has touched the sky.
Com2uS Q2 2023 Financial Result shows a massive fall in profit
From Com2uS’ Q2 2023 Financial Results, it is seen that the company has achieved record-breaking sales in Q2 which is 228.3 bn. KRW. Despite this, the net profit of the company suffers a seatback as it falls to -20.4 bn. KRW while the first quarter picked up 40.6 bn. KRW.
The company said that increased costs in the enhanced marketing of existing and new titles have led to such circumstances. And, as Zenonia Chronobreak performed decently in the Korean market, a global release will help rising the company’s profits.
Zenonia Chronobreak is an MMORPG based on Com2uS’ popular mobile RPG series Zenonia. Announced in late 2020, the game was first introduced as “World Of Zenonia” and was scheduled to release in 2022. But the release was delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak and later, a Korea-exclusive release came out last June.
The game features high-quality cartoon rendering and has over 150 cinematics which will open Zenonia’s world in an exciting 3D view. With the release scheduled for 2024, the wait is now on.
