Project Moon, the makers of the popular RPG Limbus Company, have been embroiled in a controversy surrounding a couple of reasons. One such reason is the swimsuit design for one of the characters in the game, due to which Limbus Company has been review bombed on Steam, whereas there were complaints regarding the false descriptions and nerfs.
Alongside the nerfs, players complained about Ishmael’s suit design in Limbus Company
One of the reasons the players took the decision to review bomb the game appears to highlight the lack of response or acknowledgment from the developer, ProjectMoon. The heart of the matter was when the developers of the game revealed that the base EGO worked based on Kill instead of Hit, as originally stated on Uptie, it understandably sparked frustration and anger among players who had invested in it.
It was also stated that there were Stealth nerfs and false Uptie 4 descriptions which angered the players more. However, the developers would look into the matter, and within a couple of hours, they addressed the issue and offered compensation to players who had invested in the base EGO. However, things did not end here.
Another case of controversy was with the summer update, where the players expected a swimsuit for Ishmael, but the dev team opted instead for a latex skintight diving suit. This angered the fanbase, majorly male, as Sinclair in the game got an open shirt alongside other male characters for the summer theme. However, they believe that both genders are not equally sexualized.
As of now, there have been indications that these complaints are from the Korean players. To be fair, these complaints are unnecessary and should be avoided, as it is always in the designer’s interest to see things through on the artistic side. The situation might cool down in a short while, for sure.
