South Korean mobile game developer and publisher Netmarble Games announced that a Game of Thrones mobile MMORPG is under development. Earlier today, Netmarble held its 5th NTP (Netmarble Together with Press) event where it announced nineteen other games along with the Game of Thrones Title.
This open-world MMORPG will be Netmarble’s own IP and the company claimed the game as a console-quality hyper-realistic fantasy game and will provide a grand experience of large-scale multiplayer. Not much information is available currently except a teaser.
Netmarble, established in 2000, is the producer of some of the well-known and successful games such as MARVEL Future Fight and Seven Knights.
Game of Thrones mobile game launched a teaser displaying characters and locations
The teaser showcased some famous characters and incredible Game of Thrones locations from the TV Series. It starts with “The Wall” and the next scene shows a rider with a similar looking to John Snow, is approaching it. Then, we saw the same rider riding to the Eyrie.
The teaser brings more excitement to the next scene as it shows a dragon destroying a portion of The Army of the Dead, possibly, outside Winterfell. Also, the teaser shows the Night King, one of the biggest threats to the Westeros.
What fans can expect from Netmarble’s upcoming MMORPG
Not the first time Game of Thrones is coming to mobile. In 2014, Telltale Games first brought a game by the same name as the TV Series. Later, there were quite some games that appeared on mobile. As a famous quote reads from the drama show, “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.- Cersei Lannister”, fans can expect such experience from the upcoming one.
