About Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is an open-world RPG game based on gacha game gambling mechanics where players try their luck for obtaining characters and weapons. But the game has provided players with more than just combat scenarios and fantasy stories. The game is heavily packed with resources to explore like boss battles, spy missions, etc. and gives a smooth gaming experience. The characters are well designed with an awesomely colorful open world to explore.
Genshin Impact’s Success
Usually, gacha based games aren’t that successful due to being less popular in the western market. But that is what Genshin Impact has overcome, the game managed to successfully nab the western market. The majority of the revenue was from outside of China, making it a massive hit globally. Genshin Impact’s 58% revenue came from outside of China, i.e. from Japan and US.
With the way things are progressing, it is pretty much evident that Genshin Impact would have a roller coaster ride during October. The future success would depend on how the game would progress as the player levels up and advances in the game. The developers have to do a pretty good job supporting the game and adding on exciting events so that the expectation and momentum set during the initial days aren’t lost.
The success of Genshin Impact on mobile devices also proved that the popularity of the open-world and RPG can not be restricted to PC and Consoles alone. Smartphones and Mobile devices are the future of e-sports industries.
