SEGA has announced the entry of the upcoming party game Sonic Rumble, calling out players for a closed beta test. But only the US residents can join the test this time, though no further news related to the beta test release in the other regions is confirmed. The game has been on our radar already as we reported multiple times this year about this game.
The 32-player casual party game will feature exciting fun elements in toy worlds. The game is jointly developed in collaboration with Rovio, known for the popular Angry Birds series. It is a part of the world-famous and popular video game series and media franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic Rumble is set to launch in Winter 2024 as confirmed by SEGA. The good news is that the title will be launched on both Android and iOS.
How to join the Sonic Rumble closed beta test
The beta test, as mentioned already, is only for players residing in the US. The process is simple for anyone from the region and both iOS and Android users can sign up for the test. iOS users will need to use the TestFlight application from Apple. Registration starts today and will run till the 19th of May 2024. The schedule for the test is as follows.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply for the test.
- Go to the official website for the beta test.
- Click on the Apply to the beta test button.
- Enter your age and click OK.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and select OK.
- Complete the form with the relevant information and click OK to apply.
It is unknown how many players will receive the confirmation to enter into the test, but they’ll receive an email of confirmation if selected for the test. For participating in the test, the device requirements for Sonic Rumble are as follows:
- iOS: iPhone 11 or later
- Android: OS 8.0 or later, 4 GB RAM or more
SEGA wants player feedback to improve the game in preparation for its official release
As SEGA is calling out the players to join in the closed beta test of Sonic Rumble, the mission for them is to provide a balanced, well-optimized, and fun title without any issues. The feedback from testers will be used to improve the game and overhaul its elements including game mechanics, graphics, game physics, etc.
Before the official announcement, it was rumored that a new Sonic mobile game similar to Fall Guys to arrive this year. As the entry is confirmed now, just make sure to join the fun in the Sonic worlds.
