PUBG Mobile Global Championship or the PMGC, the annual international PUBG Mobile tournament and the highest honor for any esports team or player involved with the game is back again for 2023. From November 2 through December 10, 50 teams from across the world will demonstrate their mettle as they compete for a piece of the $3 million prize pool and the title of PUBG Mobile World Champion.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023: Format and Schedule
Through the months of November, from November 2 through November 26, the 2023 PMGC League will be played in stages. Teams that qualify from different PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) and PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) zones, as well as special invites, will compete. 48 teams will compete in 6 thrilling matches daily for a chance to advance to the 2023 PMGC Grand Finals, which will be broadcast live for fans to watch.
To compete for the PUBG Mobile World Champion title at the 2023 PMGC Grand Finals, only the best of the best will advance. The 14 teams qualifying from the 2023 PMGC League and 2 special invite teams will compete in Istanbul, Turkey, from December 8 through December 10 for the chance to crown themselves the best PUBG Mobile team on earth.
Group Stage
The league stage will consist of three tiers of matches. The first round is the group stage where 48 teams will play in three groups of 16 teams each. A total of 24 matches will take place in each group. The top 3 teams will directly go to the grand finals while the bottom 5 will be eliminated. Teams placed between the 4th and 11th positions will advance to the survival stage. From the 2nd of November to the 19th, the Group stage will take place.
Survival Stage
The qualified teams from the group stage will participate in this stage of PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023. 24 teams will be divided into 3 groups of 8 teams each. Each group will play 6 matches per day and each team will have 18 matches to participate.
A round-robin format will be followed in this stage. After the end of this survival stage, the top 16 will advance to the Last Chance while the bottom 8 will be eliminated from the race. From the 22nd of November to the 24th, the Survival Stage will take place.
Last Chance
The remaining 16 teams from the survival stage will play 12 matches in this stage. The top 5 will make it to the grand finals while the rest of the teams will be disqualified to advance to the finals. From the 25th of November to the 26th, the Last Chance stage will take place.
Grand Finals
The ultimate battle of PMGC 2023 will take place between the 8th of December to the 10th. 16 teams will fight for a total of 18 matches in Istanbul, Türkiye. After the matches are over, the top team in the point table will wear the crown of the best PUBG Mobile esports team in the world.
Participating Teams
PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023 will feature a total of 50 teams. Among them, 2 of the teams are already qualified for the grand finals while the rest 48 have to go through the group stage matches to be in the rest 14 slots for the grand finals.
The group stage teams are divided into three groups(Green, Red, and Yellow) and each group consists of 16 teams. After the end of the league fights, the 16 remaining teams will play in the grand finals. The list of the contenders is as follows.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023: Prize Pool
A massive amount of $3,000,000 will be given to the teams to share as per their ranking in the event. The league stage will have $1,580,000 to share among the teams while the Finals will share a total of $1,420,000 for the teams. The exact share for each team is not known yet. PUBG Mobile will provide in-game rewards to watch the live streaming of the event
Not only the players will grab some in the event but the game has decided to reward the viewers as well. On every matchday during the event, the game will drop some rewards for the viewers. To avail of the drop items, viewers will need to register for the PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube channel during the English stream.
If any player watches the stream from the email account that is connected to the game account, will receive the rewards automatically via their in-game mail. Besides, redeem codes will also be shared during the stream. To watch the event live, viewers can go to the official YouTube channel of PUBG Mobile Esports.
Fans of PUBG Mobile Esports will undoubtedly be looking to Vampire Esports for another outstanding performance after an exciting year in the sport, being the defending champions in PMGC 2023. Along with winning the 2023 PUBG Mobile Pro League in Thailand, the team won the PUBG Mobile World Invitational for the second time in a row this year.
The team has won significant competitions, but they struggled at the South East Asia vs. South Asia Regional Clash in 2023, ending in 14th place. The Thai squad will have the chance to once again monopolize the spotlight and revel in the spotlight when the 2023 PMGC returns. This will not be a simple task as other top-skill teams like the Brazilian team Alpha7 Esports and the Mongolian team Stalwart Esports will certainly be gearing up to win.
