PUBG Mobile Esports roadmap 2024: New mid-season event, offline super leagues, and more
PUBG Mobile has revealed some details on its esports roadmap for 2024. More information may come in the future. From what we got to look at the events for now, there will be new events and regional expansion for the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) series.
PUBG Mobile Esports 2024 structure update
The esports events will be divided into 4 tiers. The global events will be on the top of the hierarchy where Super leagues are on the regional stage and will also work as the primary qualifier event for the PMGC 2024. PUBG Mobile National Championships and PMSL qualifiers are in the third row while the Club Open leagues and regional third-party events will be the tier-4 events.
The top-tier leagues include three international events that are PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO), PMGC, and the PMWI Mid-Season. The PMGO is the latest addition to the global events and will be held in Brazil with a total of $500,000 as a prize pool. The 2024 year will kick off with the PMGO from March to April. The PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2024 will be held in July as a mid-season event. Featuring a $3M prize pool, this will be the next big chapter of PMWI. The offline event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
PMSL to kick off from February to October 2024
PMSL will serve as the regional league. There will be three phases in this event namely the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. But this will be exclusive to the SEA region only. Other regions such as EMEA, CSA, and the Americas will have only two seasons; the Spring and the Fall season. Spring season will kick off in February and end in April. The Summar season will be from April to July and the Fall season will end in October.
The Pro Leagues will not take place instead PMSL will take over. So far, PMSL was only for the SEA region after PUBG Mobile partnered with several third-party organizations. Expanding the regions will allow more partnerships for the game and it will reduce the expenses as well. EMEA, CSA, and Americas are the latest additions to the league.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 will take place in the UK
PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 will take place in the UK. The event will feature a total of $3 million as the prize pool. However, it is unclear if the event will follow the same format as PMGC 2023 of the title will bring some changes.
Currently, the year finale event of PUBG Mobile esports is going on. A total of 16 teams are battling for a prize pool of $3M in Ülker Sports and Event Hall, İstanbul, Türkiye. The world of PUBG Mobile Esports will watch the crowing champion on the 10th of December 2023.
