Tribe Gaming has yet again proved why they are one of the major players in esports business as they beat Luminosity Gaming in a jaw-dropping finale of the COD Mobile World Championship 2022. Luminosity, the team that was unbeaten throughout the playoffs, was on the losing side against the now 2-time World Champions with a 3-4 defeat.
Tribe Gaming also won the 2021 Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship western finals, happened last year in December.
COD Mobile World Championship 2022: Tribe Gaming’s road to glory
Entering the Top 8 matchups, Tribe Gaming being the favorites was set to reach the grand finals with ease, but the Wolves pulled a rat out of their hat early on as they pushed Tribe to the lower brackets. Tribe Gaming didn’t seem to give up as they beat every team they came across, including a sweet revenge against Wolves, and climbed up their way to the grand finals of the $1.7 Million event.
Luminosity, on the other hand, was ruthless in every face-off with teams not being able to even pick 2 maps off them. They entered the grand finals strong and had an upper hand over Tribe as they got the 1-map advantage.
The finals were as nail-biting as ever with Luminosity Gaming making a huge comeback after they were down 3-1. The finals of the COD Mobile World Championship 2022 went on till the last game where Tribe Gaming wiped their opponents away in the last map, leading them to become the champions in COD Mobile’s first-ever official LAN event.
Although the finals were between Luminosity and Tribe Gaming, the dark horse of the grand event was iNCO Stalwart as they entered with little to no expectations from anyone, placing third in the event, and bagging a huge amount of $150,000. Lucaz was undoubtedly the player to watch as he slayed every team he played against, with a monstrous K/D in each match. However, iNCO fell short by a margin as they were defeated by Tribe Gaming in the Lower Bracket finals.

COD Mobile World Championship 2022 was a success, primarily due to it being a LAN event. Unfortunately, there were several times when players faced connection issues and other similar trouble that possibly changed the factor of a game, but the event was the start of something bigger, to say the least.
